I hve known Mani for years now, he is and still is a good agent, doesn't compromise. He is someone who can go for days with any solid food n still be alert, his appointment in 2011 came in the same time Darius of Jega and he wasn't happy, but today nkor, God don butter him bread.

Dumb mofos, what makes it Secret Service when we now know the names of all its operatives. When credible Nigerians apply for the job, you won't give them, only to end up with clueless agents. Giving up the names of your SSS handles isn't professional.

But, i tell you that maturity of information expose from the DSS organization is not done by the DSS operatives but by the Journalist.

Is not only in Nigeria this happens, the CIA faces the same problem but it is minimal compare to the Nigerian system of jounalism.

In Isreal, their secret service enjoys secrecy alot, because freedom of speech is limited there.

But, exposing the names of security details In the secret service changes nothing., But, it advances will be, it will send fears to intending predators in that government, especially if the directors are highly rated intelligence officers.

DSS is our friend! Lets pray for them.

You sound very bitter, wonder what irked you.

Someone gave an example above you, i guess you skipped that. When GEJ skipped and retired 30 qualified and competent senior Generals to appoint Minimah who was promoted to occupy the chief of army staff, did you write a similar comment?

The same DSS that was very partisan, you expect Buhari to admit probably a mole from DSS into his presence because he has finally won against their wish. See, personal security is beyond competence, it is more of trust. If you watched the movies 'White house down or Olympus has fallen', borrow a leaf from there. If Buhari trusts Mani better than the DSS DG himself, what does that mean to you? Buhari may be waiting when he assumes commander in chief then he may reassess the DSS before taking any security detail from them who wasnt with him before now. I would have done exactly what Buhari did. I wouldn't trust even the DG himself.

Security is a whole different ball game, and the President is not a learner,he is a retired General & has also suffered a coup. You're in no position.. I repeat, no position to school him about his security detail

The truth of the matter was that, the DSS gave him a list of officers to choose from as his personal Detail, Buhari insisted that he will continue with Mani, who has been with him since 2011. The DSS, said Mani was one rank below the DSS required rank to be posted as the detail of a president.

Buhari replied that, he doesn't mind his rank, and that they should allow him despite his rank, the DSS in their normal EYE SERVICE promoted Mani to the next rank to pleased the General.

How do I know all this, don't worry

you fail to see that we're talking about a life and death situation here. Buhari cannot just allow anybody to be designated as head of his security detail. He has the prerogative to ask for someone he trusts. very certain this happens in western countries too. If presidents know someone they trust, they'll ask specifically for that someone. People can't entrust their lives to just anyone.

How will you retire his senior because he is given a cso? They only added a rank to his former rank because before you can become a cso you must get to that rank on the other hand if they are to appoint a new dgss and they are picking someone who have seniors that when they retire the snrs cos they can't serve their junior.
