Is Lagos the only south Western State? There is Osun, Ondo, Oyo, Ogun etc. Why are they ALWAYS quarrelling about Lagos? That is because of its peculiarity which we all know! So stop screaming as if this is about "all yorubas"!

Again, you yorubas CANNOT categorically POINT OUT WHAT THE IGBOS DID TO YOU! WHAT IS THEIR CRIME EXACTLY! Wait, I know! They are buying up your lands and bringing in so much wealth to Lagos State, and probably stealing your shine. That is their crime!

You attack them FIRST and they strike back and you cry foul! You cry that they are insulting back! Now if someone curses your "dog" to do his bidding or perish in the lagoon within 7 days, will you smile and clap for him!
Talkless of someone saying that to a HUMAN BEING, OH WAIT, A FULL TRIBE OF HUMAN BEINGS! From their mothers to fathers to sisters to uncles etc!

I don't care about tribalism but I care for the truth!

Some yorubas are unnecessarily hateful and its annoying.

So i'm an immigrant in my own country? What the hell! This is absurd if not silly. I was going to vote for Ambode but i think it's time to put this immigrant nonsense to rest once and for all. I've changed my mind.

You ARE an immigrant in Lagos State - take it or leave it.

And, by the way, PDP has now formally become a tribal party of the Igbos (this became very evident during the presidential election). So, I don't see you ever voting for a national party, at the expense of your regional, tribal PDP - whether Oba Akiolu threatened you or not. Bottomline: you have never changed your mind; stop fooling yourself.

Well said.... You just can't come to our land and dictate for us whereas we never go to your land to dictate to you. The igbo tribe are taking our civility for cowardice, nobody is stopping the igbo folks from voting for whoever they want, but what we will not accept is you strangers telling us trash in our lands and insulting the sacred throne of my forefathers.

Again, I applaud this group once again

Brother what point have you made now?
Everyone was quietly going about there business, the candidates were courting votes from everyobe who had pvc untill his highness decided for a certain people who to vote or face calamity.
You are being contradictory by applauding the constitutional right of every Nigerian to vote, whilst supporting that a certain people forcefully comply to your will.

I often hear this insulting of our land!!, and I ask again how? how can people who earn honest an living and pay there taxes be insulting the land. Please can you put up instances to support this calm or is it just another excuse to profile and hate a follow citizen for nothing?

These Yoruba ppl are so selfish and pompous!

If not that Lagos was once the capital of Nigeria, It would have been a local minor state like every other state in this country!!
This discrimination towards Igbo people by yorubas is getting out of hand!
for starters, why on earth should that useless oba threaten igbos in Lagos?? Are we not free to vote whoever we want?? That oba and his supporters are sent to destroy the peace of this country!

What I really wanna understand is what exactly did Igbo ppl do to this man
This inhumane discrimination has been going on for a long time! As long as u are a citizen of Nigeria, u have every right to settle down wherever u want in Nigeria.

we don't discriminate against any tribe in igboland, so why should they? In case they didn't know, igbos also took part in developing Lagos. Igbos are the most hardworking ppl in Nigeria(and I'm not saying that bkus I'm Igbo, its the fvcking truth. just like everybody knows Yorubas like education and parties)

for Pete's sake, we are the same ppl, human beings. just like someone said, tribes are just created to give power, it doesn't differentiate u from others.

CHM11:

Your paragraphs totally contradict each other. One moment you are tribalistic, the other moment you are saying we are all human beings. I am not yoruba, I'm from Delta and based in Lagos. You want to know what pained the Oba?

Igbos said they will one day produce the governor of Lagos, they even wanted to run for vice in 2015.
They called Lagos a 'no man's land' that yorubas are claiming it.
They said Lagos is nothing but a colonial settlement.

Sincerely in your God mind, answer this : Will the people in South east Nigeria take this in their state from any other tribe? Even anambra self won't take it from other igbos.

And who told you the igbos are the most hardworking? What does hardworking mean to you?
Don't you think it means something else to me?
You might prefer to carry stones and break rocks with a sledge and call it hard work while I prefer to sit down for hours doing research and creating a cure for Ebola, that could be hardwork to me.

Lagos belongs to the Yorubas first before another Nigerian. If foreigners from Cotonou and Togo come to attack people in Lagos, the Yorubas will get up first to defend their home. When they can't subdue the intruders then Nigerians will join to help them.

Igbos should just learn to be careful with their utterances as regards Lagos. What you will not allow in your own home, do not do it in another persons home.

Lagos became the capital of Nigeria, because it is Lagos, Yoruba Land and it has been a trade centre even before the british took over. I think calabar used to be a capital too, so why is calabar not like Lagos?...

Respect your host and do not cause problems with your utterances.

God bless u more and more also, More of u is what Nigeria Need .

Igbos hiding under the jurisdiction bestowed by the Constitution and yet they fail to learn that even in America, freedom and liberty are only just similar. Yorubas are not asking for too much, other than respect for the land, its culture, its heritage, its pple and its ancestry

When you are in Rome, you roam freely only when you behave like Romans.

Good. But if Igbos do not descriminate in Igboland, why do other tribes find it difficult to reside there? Why is it that, it is only in Igboland that there are 99% indigenous residences? I think something must be wrong with either the igbo people or the environment of Igboland. Think about that.

Aworis Youth Mandate under the able leadership of Adekunle bola has asked that all yoruba of non- aworis extraction leeching on their development and resources should start preparing to vacant the state.

He explained that yorubas come to lagos to feast on their resources, contributing absolutely nothing in return.

"An Ekiti from his jungle village will come to Lagos to drag jobs like security and vigilante with locals, so it time to tell them all who are the real owners of Lagos. "

Once the permission is sanction there will be a exodus, so it is better they start packing before the time reaches. As the say " a stitch in time saves nine."

This is 21st century, NO TIME FOR PARASITISM !

even the Northerners are contributing more than these yorubas, Awori people shall not stand and watch her resources pillaged and ravaged by these ingrates and rascals.

He went on to explain that most crimes in the state are perpetuated by neighboring states especially Ogun people and ijebus.

Lagos remains no man's land as far as the non-indigent yorubas nay indigenes would hate because it is the small sacrifice they have to pay for a cosmopolitan city of the likes of New York,Paris etc and a thriving cash cow of 'One Nigeria'...Sincerely,we wish they could disrupt it with their age old tribalism and bigotry let us move this comspolitan beachfront to Akwa-Ibom.But for that to happen we need reprisal tribal tit-tats as we have shared with the northerners so everybody understand their own frequency, this should not only quicken the destruction of Lagos and economic shift towards Akwa-Ibom but impoverish the yorubas, reduce the general standard of living throughout SW and their political bargaining power....Akiolu's words just sparked a tsunami that will be to our economic benefit in all strata,if we surf this gigantic tribal wave to the last dribble without fear but righteous anger, blood lust and the ever present igbo tenacity,we could just break up Nigeria and begin a new destiny.....Win-Win-Win situation for the igbos.
