Shut the hell Up! You must be a slowpoke for saying the Yorubas accomodate the igbos, how if I. May ask? How? Aren't they Nigerians? Aren't they are liberty to move to any part of the country on legal grounds as supported by the constitution of Nigeria? Are the Yorubas feeding and paying their bills while they reside in Lagos? NOBODY has the right to claim ownership of any part of this country or has the power to restrict the movement of NIGERIANS to any part of this country. Why all this NOISE about the Yorubas owning Lagos and regarding non-Yorubas as "Immigraants"......You all should go and take a dive into the Lagoon! SHIT!!!

I am a Nigerian, proudly Igbo, I have property in Lagos...and my family lives here! No idiot has any right to intimidate or threaten my stay except you clowns are calling for Tribal War! And lemme make this categorically clear that we igbos, are not afraid of WAR!

Why the hate, the bitterness, the envy, the jealousy against us? Why? That was how Fashola bundled some igbos and 'deported' dem claiming that they were criminals. What happened to the police and the court? The outburst of tha hate speech by the dishonourable Oba was just a saturated build up of bitterness over the years. You guys are just jealous and pained that we are industrous and you guys are feeling insecured @the pace @which the igbos are prospering in Lagos, hence the hatred....BUT that is not their fault! You can't take that away from them, GOD made them that way....

The Yorubas should be careful on how they are taking this matter, they should remember that for over 60years, both tribes have never had any cause for misunderstanding, as they have been living in peace over the years. The Oba should cautioned and warned on how he conducts himself publicly, this is democracy, everyone has the right to vote for whoever he wants to vote for.

God bless Ndi-Yoruba
God bless Ndi-Hausa
God bless Ndi-Igbo
WA-ZO-BIA...........that bound is too strong to be broken by a hate speech coming from one Oba of Lagos!

;DYou are not afraid of war, am sure you were not born by that time and did not know what is was back then to fight ,If you take development to the doorstep of people you will not be seeing people jumping of a bus from east every minute in Lagos. We all have the right to free movement ,but develop your place and people so that we don't have 2 people every 30 minute jumping off the bus to stay here

As has happened often in the past, the Igbo resident refugees in Lagos, in their characteristic disrespect of their hosts in all parts of Nigeria, have chosen to turn the election situation in Lagos into a contest between themselves and the Yoruba nation. I don't understand what respect one gives for not voting a lagosian. Is JK not a lagosian? Is democratic process of voting ones choice now a disrespect to a traditional throne in a federal nation? The igbos dont own lagos, I agree, but they still constitute a huge percentage of its population, and has the constitutional rights to vote and be voted for, in other for their interests to be favoured through good policies.

You are a certified fool for calling the Oba of Lagos useless...infact you are a fvcking ba.stard for daring to think so... Omo iran Ki'ran arire mase, oloriburuku. It's your culture and heritage to undermine your elders.. In Yoruba land is an abomination...and idiots like you feel comfortable spewing those nonsense about an Oba.

The Oba in Yoruba land have the prerogative to speak to his subjects in manner they deem fit. Some of the Igbos at the meeting says they understood what he was saying because it was a father and son relationship type of discussion. Though foolish ones amongst you are hell bent in causing mischief. Agbaje and Ambode are both Yorubas it's a win win situation for the Yoruba nation.

You as a female, I will warn you to watch how you use your dirt mouth in public. In your life never call an Oba useless

YOU are FREE to use your THUMB or your BRAIN:
I have come to see how some tribe(s) feel they can merely use their Votes as instruments of REVENGE traceable to needless hatred forgetting that Hatred hurts the carriers more than the targets.
It is very easy to hide behind FREEDOM of SPEECH to spit words rooted in hatred, but all should remember that even generational FREEDOM may not be guarantee after some forms of speeches. Also, any tribe is free to hide behind the veil of FREEDOM of CHOICE to express deep hatred, but also, one should remember that even Heaven or Hell is a Choice.
It has been said that He/she who had decapitated a fellow human never feels comfortable when a man holding a cutlass moves closer to him/her. It is true; I have come to discover that the tribe(s) which complains of marginalization, hatred and tribalism is actually the leader(s) in perpetuating and promoting such wiles.
Such tribes want your House based on republican theories even when they cannot spare you their sandals…and they desire your lands in the name of true federalism, yet you are not welcome even in their churches. They want absolute freedom everywhere, yet you dare not walk freely in their domains. They will always complain about how hostile their hosts are, yet they continue to desire the landscape of such hosts in millions. They are the first to hide behind the curtain of UNITY, but they are secessionists by history and ideas.
Whoever thinks that he/she is wiser than all other fellow humans shall at the end make his/her kingdoms irrelevant as a result of classic foolishness.
You are free to teach your host a bitter lesson or insult him, yet time shall permit him to prove to you that life is beyond thumb printing of ballot papers. Feel free to corporate with the foes of your host, but remember, such foes share the same ancestry and blood is thicker than the waters of the Lagoon.
In parables I speak, let the wise decode it…let the unwise react as they feel…
Feel free to use your thumbs and waste your votes in the name of hatred or revenge… the season shall come when others shall use their brains. Yes, by the end of April 11th, some votes rooted in hatred shall find their ways to the dustbins of INEC, and those who own and love their land shall have reasons to rejoice.
The Devil is enjoying more votes than God among Humans…yet Satan has not been able to take OVER power from Jehovah.

I don't know how a visitor will be claming too know of another's property. The best thing is to throw them out of Lagos let them go back to their land and develop their place. At the same time I can't blame them is useless PDP that want power by all means I will blame. They are the one giving them too much popularity and they will later regret it.Is it possible for any other tribe to do all this nonsense in their state?Bunch of ingrate.Lagos give you opportunity to be part of their government by appointing you commissioners, hon and other benefits but you can't think to appreciate rather to be ungrateful.Like I used to tell your ibo fellows that yorubas don't like problem but if you put us to the wall you will see hell more than what Oba Akiolu said.In term of everything in the country and around the world we senior you.Education, population, money, international connection etc we are not your mate.If it leads to war honestly speaking you will go down in history.just a little word for you!

Igbos were quietly preparing to exercise their civic responsibility, to vote, to vote yorubas into power, then Oba threaten igbos who paid him a COURTESY visit; a respect to his throne. What did they get?? A very loud and clear threat to LIFE. How igbos merited such threat, I am yet to understand
The person that issued the widely condemned statement is still unrepentant and unapologetic, and you expect an igbo man to keep quiet. Noo, you thought igbos wrong, we don't shrink in fear while you scrape our hair with broken bottle.

Allow igbos have their own country, No. Let's live as one Nigeria and allow igbo men do their business, No...what do you actually want from igbos??
Now, one useless group is issuing out a fresh threat and calling igbos, your fellow Nigerian, a refugee, an immigrant in his own country??...one Nigeria indeed, only when oil wells are involved.

God help us all.

Stop acting like this change your mind, majority of Igbos will vote for PDP all along(With or without Oba speech). You did that during the presidential election and APC still win the state. Do that again and it wouldn't make any difference. In fact PDP got that much votes from Lagos because of the yorubas indigenes. Things would be different now since PDP have made the mistake of turning this into a Yoruba Vs Igbo thing.

One thing that comes to the fore is that this country is tragically divided along deep ethnic lines. No matter the issues under debate, it is guaranteed to degenerate into petty tribal squables where the name of the one speaking is more important than the point being made. The Oba obviously took a joke too far but several eminent Yorubas have in effect chastised him. While the guest should respect his host, the host should be gracious. It is instances like this that make me question the whole Nigerian issue. When will we begin to support Truth and not names?

u gave a wrong example, Onitsha pple migrated from benin and settled in their present site. The original inhabitants of the present onitsha are from idemmili/obosi. Therefore, onitsha is clearly Igboland. But lagos is inhabited by the awori ethnic group, the yorubas due to close proximity migrated to lagos, the aworis accomodated them and they(yorubas) started claiming ownership. So lagos is NOT yoruba land.

Sorry my friend but you're VERY wrong. I dont know where you got that mis-information from that the Aworis are not Yorubas. The Aworis consider themselves as descendants of Oduduwa and as such are Yorubas. It is common knowledge among Yorubas that every descendant of Oduduwa is a Yoruba. In fact the meaning of "Awori" is "Awo ti Ri" which in Yoruba means 'the plate has sunk' You cannot attempt to rewrite our history to suit your position.

HE WOULD NOT HAVE, IF NOT THAT SOME PEOPLE STARTED CALLING LAGOS A 'NO MAN'S LAND'. AND ONE FELLOW STARTED TO ASK IGBO PEOPLE TO VOTE EN BLOC AGAINST APC. IT WAS VERY SILLY TO DO THAT.

Good. But if Igbos do not descriminate in Igboland, why do other tribes find it difficult to reside there? Why is it that, it is only in Igboland that there are 99% indigenous residences? I think something must be wrong with either the igbo people or the environment of Igboland. Think about that.
Very good question !!
