I personally know of Yoruba people that hate APC , it's leaders and policies but because of this ibo support for Agbaje they now vow to vote apc enmassse to prove to ibos they don't own Lagos. If ibos like pdp they should go home , strategise and vote pdp. What do they have for 6 years of Jonathan's hard support ? Nothing .

you only work hard in illegal activities, substandard and fake goods, and crime. take the away and ibo becomes useless.

how come everybody can't stand ibo? ghana, kenya, south africa, burundi, malaysia, india, china?

i saw your brothers telling chinese and india people that they are also lazy and jealous of ibos. imagine that? countries known for very high cerebral things. ibo man no go kill me with self-appraisal and wasteful arrogance. tribe of useless noisemakers. cheesy
I know you kill yourself to buy all those things you called substandard, that shows how useless and substandard your life is.

thanks for attempting to tell me who I am but I know who I am . I carry a nigerian passport and fly the nigerian flag and if I am outside this country to achieve any great thing,my achievement is first of all a nigerian achievement. You will be shocked to know even some lagosians don't like to marry ijebus and so many other disparities within the Yoruba community. I'm a Yoruba boy but I will always put national interest first before ethnic interests. I think as a Nigerian and not carried away by cultural bias.

I know of ibo elites (orji uzor kalu) and Massob e.t.c who made such statements during the anambra ibo destitues relocation to their states debacle.

Traditional titles are over a kingdom / land, so when the stool holder of such kingdom/land is told by settlers that his land is no mans land, you have desecrated his stool, and throwing insult on his forebearers. If yorubas in Onitsha begin to say Onitsha is no mans land, they are denigrating the stool of the Obi of Onitsha. Manytimes, we fail to understand action and reaction are equal but opposite.

If you say MASSOB said this then it is big lie, dunno about Orji Uzor Kalu. Did you even know the meaning of MASSOB. if they say that, it means they are going against their name.

Even so was this purported statement made during or after the Oba accused the Igbo

my senior bro is married to an Igbo lady, same as my cousin, most of the Igbos I know that are born in Lagos think differently from others, they are more Lagosian than a yoruba man from Ibadan the camaraderie between Yorubas and Igbos in Lagos is stronger than an Igbo man who grew up in Enugu and a man from Ibadan.

I'm yoruba and i'll say what the oba said was totally uncalled for. It is statements like this that causes ethnic division. What is bad is bad.
However that being said, the igbos should not let politicians fuel an obvious goof and cause a further divide. Once elections are over, all these politicians realign with the ruling party and leave the hatred festering in the minds of ordinary nigerians until they return to it in 2019.

After the results, una all go still live together. Haba. But I have to say this Jonathan's government has been the most divisive I have ever seen in nigeria.

Ehen..me I know some igbos can be extremely obnoxious, arrogant, annoying and weird...especially those who grew up in the eastern part of the country.
That said, I still believe every Nigerian is a citizen of the country and is constitutionally free to occupy and do anything lawful anywhere in this country. Voting for their preferred candidate is Lawful so pls let us hear word.
The south west also benefit via federal allocations from funds derived from crude oil extracted majorly from the south south. So why shouldn't other people feel free to benefit from your Land.?
Not in support of the igbos though and their utterances though, because obviously, no south eastern state will accept such utterances from another tribe in their state.

Imagine a yoruba or Hausa or even Delta man saying they will produce the next governor of Anambra state because Anambra is a no mans land and a colonial settlement.

Igbos that I know in the south east will eat such person for dinner.
I find it funny when a Yoruba man that grew up in Yorubaland says the Igbo man who was raised in the East behaves funny, seriously how do you want him to behave? Like a Yoruba man?Frankly,it portrays you as lacking in maturity and exposure,I've been around other tribes enough to appreciate the fact we all have our traditional values.. And as per your analogy of a Yoruba wanting to become a Governor in the East,if am not mistaken Jimmy Agbaje, the last time I checked was a Yoruba man,you don't have to like the Igbos,it's your prerogative, but Igbos are Nigerians and as such are neither Aliens nor Immigrants anywhere in Nigeria, the Yoruba were among the front line actors who made sure the Igbos are still in the present Nigeria,by their actions during the Civil War,so why the complaints..

I'm an igbo man but I believe the majority of yorubas are not as daft as whoever wrote this neither are they as daft as those who will support dis on here. The use of the words "host" and "visitor" in this context can only be applied by those who are very myopic and unexposed. If truly this came from a particular body representing the yoruba people in any sense then I think the yorubas should be quick to dissociate themselves from such party.

This whole drama of Agbaje/Ambode clearly the hypocrisy that exist within a Yoruba man's mind.

The ignorance of the Yoruba people who hates Igbos with passion is sickening.

BTW Lagos was not build by the cocoa farmers of Ijebu or cassava planters of Ogun alone but by the collective effort , hard work, tax payment etc of millions of Igbos and other ethnic origins who trooped to invest and call Lagos their home.

Yoruba tribalistic ppl here are backward with stone age mentality.

London as big as it is, is seen today by that average India born, living and working with British passport as his home and his city, how much more Lagos a city in our own country being used as a tribal war.

All this because a Yoruba son , Jimi Agbaje in his campaign promises declared respecting and caring for the welfare of non indigenes of which Igbos are among.

Shame on those whose mind are thwarted by bigotry, prejudice and tribalism.

Shame on those who on paper say we are one but on the inside full of envy and discriminatory thoughts.

Shame on those who want to take glory on other mens hard work in the name of tribe.

Shame on those who think their ethnic group is better and more superior than others.

Shame on you who for some reason out of tribal hatred glorify the murderous threat of a shameless Oba against the people of Igbo land.

Long live Ndi Igbo
Long live Yorubas

Long live One Nigeria.

Bigotry is evil. Say no to tribalism, Arrogance, Hatred and threats of violence against other ethnic groups.

**grins** If the so-called yorubas cannot pick up arms and pull out of Nigeria, then they are just blowing hot air. Lagos was developed with palm proceeds from the east, groundnut proceeds from the north and Oil proceeds from the SS(which also have large indigenous Igbo population). The yorubas can not reap where they did not sow.

Majority of workers in NNPC and Chevron are yorubas who got there because of yoruba post-war and unjust administrative influence of the likes of kupolokun and others.

If yorubas want non-indigenes to leave lagos, it is very achievable but..

1. They must declare an independent country from Nigeria. They can't eat their cake and have it. (ie They can't drink peoples oil and still keep FG developed Lagos to themselves.)

2. Severe themselves from the oil proceeds they get from regions belonging to "strangers". No cup-in-hand oil allocation for them.States like oyo produce nothing but collect one of highest allocation.

3. Start building a border post at Ore with immediate effect, infact odua diaspora can fund that.

4. Recall all their indigenes schooling and working in oil coys and banks in the East. Including their herbal drink sellers.

5. Otedola, Mike Adenuga, and their oil billionaires and owners must relinquish their Oil wells and Oil Mining Licenses.

6. Publicly burn and denounce the Constition of Nigeria that guarantees every Nigerian equal rights.

Until they meet these very achievable condition these guys should channel their noisemaking and energy in donating toilet facilities for their families in oyo, osun and kwara. It's more pertinent.

I owe you a hug!

These Yoruba ppl are so selfish and pompous!

If not that Lagos was once the capital of Nigeria, It would have been a local minor state like every other state in this country!!
This discrimination towards Igbo people by yorubas is getting out of hand!
for starters, why on earth should that useless oba threaten igbos in Lagos?? Are we not free to vote whoever we want?? That oba and his supporters are sent to destroy the peace of this country!

What I really wanna understand is what exactly did Igbo ppl do to this man
This inhumane discrimination has been going on for a long time! As long as u are a citizen of Nigeria, u have every right to settle down wherever u want in Nigeria.

we don't discriminate against any tribe in igboland, so why should they? In case they didn't know, igbos also took part in developing Lagos. Igbos are the most hardworking ppl in Nigeria(and I'm not saying that bkus I'm Igbo, its the fvcking truth. just like everybody knows Yorubas like education and parties)

for Pete's sake, we are the same ppl, human beings. just like someone said, tribes are just created to give power, it doesn't differentiate u from others.

#peace! angry

the igbos need to talk to the 30% of them that is given them a bad name. not all are unruly and disrespectful. Especially those ones in the market

The real lagosians have been complaining for years Oba just voiced out what his subjects are saying.

Epe Ikorodu Ibeju Lekki are all in the so called Lagos state, they are anscentral homes of many people. This places are as local as any nigerian village where customs and culture is paramount.
Eko is lagos island and Vi which was the colonial trading post where lagos became popular for. Cotonu too is similar but less populated.

YOu can live anywhere you want be courteous to your hosts who knows your history and when your population started mass migrating to the SW

They should be ejected from Lagos and be given a visa to stipulate the time they will stay if they wish to come back.
