If your bid was not successful, they have to credit your account with your fund and they can't set your money aside for next bidding without your consent.......Funny story though....... Gistdutch: |

Gistdutch: Unbelievable..., u need to go back to their office and throw some chairs in the air. Order them to credit your money in your account. It is not done anywhere. |

Hi NLanders, I want 2 open a TB acount with N500,000 at FBN capital. They said d minimum is N1m and I don,t have up to dat amount. So dey wnt me to invest in Fix deposit. Pls advice me |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Desanta(m): 7:05pm On Apr 16, 2015 |
silvoice: Go to first bank instead. The minimum they accept is a 100k. |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Nobody: 7:07pm On Apr 16, 2015 |
silvoice:Forget FBN Capital. Just walk into any first bank branch and open a savings account with them(that's if you don't have one). Tell them you want to apply for treasury bill and they'll give you a form to fill. Their minimum amount is 100k. Happy investing 1 Like |

Is it a good advise to buy TB through Zenith bank and what is the minimum amount for that? |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by micktoxin(m): 4:54am On Apr 17, 2015 |
umulobi:13.1% too low? Wow. One question, is the 13.1 equated with inflation? For comparison, last year was typically around 2.4% in USA(Though China was partly to blame for that) Nigerian government needs to taper off on the high interest Tbill tho.(Guess that won't be popular here). |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by micktoxin(m): 5:22am On Apr 17, 2015 |
Inside info for those interested. Those into international market will know India, Brazil, Norway and New Zealand has historically been one of the best market for Tbill and bonds investment. Anyways, the gossip being mustered in wall street and London yesterday was that SEBI of India might allow FPI to have some cuts of Tbill bidding by tuesday. I would imagine there would be a rush to get a hand on this, so keep an eye out for any latest on bloomberg or economic times india. Regards all. |

micktoxin: Its just a matter of time....the rates will definitely stand to taper down soonest. I will advise those with funds to lock in for 364 days in the next auction. The political climate is now fully calm.....a few concerns by the FI is just the naira devaluation which many believes should trade at N220. Once that one is cleared by the body language and actions of the next govt which I know will never devalue Naira, then we shall be looking at sub 8% rates once again.... 2 Likes |
