To those who say all sort about men who beat women.
A woman slapped her husband's mum in his presence and he subsequently beat the hell out of his wife.. How would you justify this?

Should the man just over look this or can we say he did the right thing by hitting his wife back or can we say no matter the circumstances a man should not hit a woman even if the woman is the first to hit..... Share your candid/real opinion on this pls....

No matter what my mum do to her she should never raise her fingers on me not to talk of my parent but if eventually it happens I believe that will be the end of the relationship

Two wrongs don't make a right. There are better ways to handle such. If I were the man, I can send her packing for a while and take it up from there.
I'll watch is she gonna be remorseful? I'll also take care of mum and find out details why what happened, happened. I'll also pray.
Things can take shape from there.

The man should have simply rebuked his wife. Well, I really do not blame him. Most men have a strong affinity with their mothers and I'm sure he felt very insulted when his mother was slapped.
I wonder what provoked the woman, though. Some MILs could be so annoying and I'm sure the woman must have been really upset to take that course of action.
Anyhow, the man should not have beat up his wife.

There is no need for the husband to kill the wife with beatings, just take the wife back to her fathers house jeje, and let her parent teach her what manners and home training is. let her stay there for some good time with no support from you. Make her apologize to your mum in front of both families, and make her tell you what kind of judgement she wants from you if she tries it again. I'm sure she'd have learnt her lessons when she comes back. why would you even marry a hot tempered and violent person sef? and what did your mother do to provoke her?

What if you find out later your mum slapped her first. I'm a woman and I'm just trying to weigh both sides. Me for one cannot even talk back at my MIL, she has told me things that annoyed me, at worst I will avoid her, but I won't take her slapping me o, somebody must be slapped back... lolz. I cannot say here now if I will slap her back, 'cos I can't imagine it, but if MIL slaps me, somebody must be slapped back. 'cos if I let it lie it will become a regular thing, infact next time, na to shit come pour for my body sef.

If you don't beat ur wife back, don't you know you can use that against her in any civilized setting for life, you will continually hold her to ransom. First, I wouldn't allow the argument get to the stage of exchanging abusive words let alone raising hands at each other.

But if it so happened that my wife raises her hand to slap my mom, I'll quickly go on my knees and seriously beg my mum on her behalf.

After which, me and my wife will have a serious talk about it.
