If you could logically state why Chelsea would be playing for a draw instead of a win, we might find a common ground to stay on.

Well just my 2 cents. Jose knows that a draw is acceptable due to how far ahead chelsea are. So dont be surprised to see Zouma in midfield or just ahead of Cahill and Terry to annulify man utd's attack. I reckon that will be his first thought so it says to me he's not going to bring the attack to man utd. He's never really been that type of manager. He's a smart manager and calculates risk and when his team who are far ahead of the rest but not quite playing well and just doing enough he's likely to revert to type in big matches. He's built up a lead now and the team dont need to do anything except tick of each remaining match. Take a point each off man utd and arsenal and they can start celebrating a title win.

I get your point, but then, I don't think Jose sets up his team to go for a stalemate, the idea has always been to win.

Even when he rolls out his smash-and-grab much loathed 'park the bus' tactis, the idea is still very much to win. Against sides who tend to present a gung-ho approach, Jose simply apply power, rapid counter-attacks and defensive discipline to take advantage of the opposition's natural attacking instincts - that's the hallmark of his game.

Zouma starting in midfield against you guys would be to maintain a good defensive shape in midfield and to provide the backline with enough protection, it doesn't necessarily translate to seeking for a draw.

He expects the real damage to get inflicted by his players on the attacking third.

This is why he's having a precocious career, he is intelligent and only cares about the end result not really the means.

Players comparison can be misleading when teams have opposite approach to games. If u can't tackle you don't play for Jose's defensive set up.

Manchester United have started 'scouting players' ahead of next season, manager Louis van Gaal has revealed.
Van Gaal is expected to oversee another busy summer when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.
Van Gaal told the club website: "Already in January we began thinking about next season because we have to prepare our pre-season and Manchester United will go to America.
"The aim is of course that we have to train and not only to play matches. Already for three or four months we are talking about our pre-season.
"We also think about the scouting of players, the scouting of our own players because we have a lot on loan and then we have to analyse their performances, so it’s a lot of work.
"It’s not only the present season but also what we have to decide for players next season."

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Nathaniel Clyne in the summer according to the sources of The Mirror’s David McDonnell.
Speaking on United in Press this evening on MUTV, McDonnell said the deal is done to make Clyne the first signing by Louis van Gaal this year.
McDonnell’s comments come hours after reports from ESPN suggested a swap deal could see Javier Hernandez go to Southampton as part of a deal for Clyne.
What seems strange about McDonnell’s claims is that he decided to announce them on MUTV rather than The Mirror.

Radamel Falcao will not be undeterred from still having hope about a Manchester United future beyond the end of his current loan.
Following the club's excellent derby win there were several articles in the Colombian media pondering whether it was unfair he only got a cameo role or whether he was lucky to get that and Louis van Gaal has shown that his side is much better without the striker.
Since the derby victory, Falcao has spoken to the Colombian media about his situation once more. the striker said "Every player wants to play, that's very normal, but I have respect for the manager and the decisions he takes, I keep working hard in training, learning every day to play in different systems in different styles of football.
"Manchester United are a great club, I am very happy to be here and that is why I have no problem being patient."

Michael Carrick has revealed that he has picked up tips from former Manchester United greats on how to prolong his career.
Carrick revealed that over the years he has picked up things from Old Trafford greats such as Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Gary Neville on how to maintain the body in the latter stages of his career.
“Living right and trying to look after myself gives me a better chance. I feel as good and as a fit as I ever have,

According to Skysports, Aston Villa, Everton, Spurs, West Ham and Arsenal are interested in signing Cleverley, plus four more unspecified European teams.
Cleverley will be a free agent in the summer and there is no prospect of a new deal at United under Louis van Gaal who told the midfielder to look for another club early in the season.
According to the Telegraph earlier this week, Cleverley is seeking a £40,000 a week contract from any new employer.
Cleverley’s departure from Old Trafford will end an association of nearly 15 years, after he joined the club as a trainee in July 2000.
