I thought OBJ said he has retired from politics. I see him as a dog that is quick to eat his vomit. I do not understand why these horrible old men who crippled and crumbled this country cannot step aside for the younger generation to clean up their mess.

They have come again ooooo from their Region.

We don't need their advice.

Buhari has categorically told these mischief makers that he needs Baba experiences being Nigeria president for over 11 yrs.

Obasanjo won't be the one to tell you to steal or destroy Nigeria economy as a president of Nigeria. He could only advise you as an ex president.

The same advice that destroyed Jonathan tenure.

Keep your advice to yourself ugly Mofo.

See hin face like devil own.

Former Senate Chief Whip, Rowland Owie, has advised president-elect, Muhammadu Buhari to be wary of former President Olusegun Obasanjo if he desired to succeed as Nigeria’s leader.

In a statement in Benin City, capital of Edo State, yesterday, Owie said: “To Buhari, I thank God for you, but you must deliver on your promises and also build on what president Jonathan did.

“Above all, you must run far from OBJ! (Olusegun Obasanjo). If he can’t control your government, he will fight you.

“He has done it to all former presidents of Nigeria and even against MKO Abiola who was not sworn in.

“Never! never! I say never discuss with OBJ unless you have at least two of your aides present!”

“Half way into the tenure of President Goodluck Jonathan, a man who sees nothing good in anybody, except himself, Obasanjo, started trouble making by naming presidential and vice-presidential candidates.

“First, it was Governor Sule Lamido as president and Governor Rotimi Amaechi as his Deputy! A respectable Lamido, a founding father of PDP, was being urged to fight PDP.

“Obasanjo lured most PDP governors in the North into rebellion against the PDP to destroy the platform that gave all of them relevance, including himself. The hate mood in the North for this election against Jonathan was such that, any candidate from the North would have won the election.

“The anger was that power must return to the North. Nigerians can see that rebellion against one’s own and betrayer of one’s party doesn’t pay.

“Governor Aliyu Babangìda of Niger State, who led the rebellion against Jonathan and the PDP, lost his election to the Senate and also lost his state,” Owie added.

Owie congratulated Nigerians and President Jonathan over the peaceful polls. “I congratulate Nigerians for their commitment to democracy and particularly, congratulate President Goodluck Jonathan, for choosing to go the ‘Way of The Cross’, by quickly conceding defeat in this election which averted the impending chaos that would have enveloped the nation.

“Only those who believe in God and live life that protects his or her live and also value life.

“No child born in the street, lives on the street permanently without parental love, can keep life.

“Nigeria would have been burning now particularly in the North. Keen observers of events in Nigeria since the 2011 general election, will agree that the Boko Haram activities escalated in Nigeria when the president was elected.

“Innocent citizens, mainly Christians, were murdered and churches burnt down. Why? Yes! Politicians and non-politicians, mainly in the North, believed that a Northerner should have replaced Jonathan in 2011 to continue with the late Yar’Adua’s tenure.”

Owie therefore called on PDP members across the country to wake up so that the party can be rebuilt

“When Our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified and buried on the Good Friday, nobody, apart from the mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, knew that Christ would rise from the grave on the third day. PDP shall rise again,” he said.

if OBJ could be this powerful to lure these governors to do his bidding, then he is still very relevant in the affairs of this nation.

That is an understatement. I know some people may feel GMB is a general and OBJ cant do anything. well thats okay but often times its better to be careful. because remember that on his day, an expert swimmer can drown even in a small stream behind his house, So oga GMB, dont leave anything to chance OBJ is dangerous if u do not allow him to direct what happens in your govt.

I don't care about all this advice. All I ponder about is all this conspiracy theory of how some regions conspired to get GEJ out of office. My question now is all these politicians are telling us Nigeria is not yet ripe for the change of a failed, weak, corrupt and divisive leader? That is anybody that gets to Aso Rock, even if he sleeps and snores for 4 years must get a second term because it is the turn of their region? Gradually we are seeing the mindset of our so called leaders that led us to our current situation. These kind of leaders with chop-I-chop thought process should never get near power for this country to progress. None of them have been able to identify any weak point and failure of the president that led to his loss at the polls. Very soon they will tell him even mama Peace slept and conspired with Tinubu to remove him from power. Silly old men.

Listening to & believing d narrative of anarchists, sycophants & eediots like Owie that d insurgency was d handiwork of people who were trying to make d nation ungovernable 4 him is one of d biggest mistakes dat GEJ made. I'm sure he must be regretting it now but unfortunately history will not forgive him 4 d avoidable loss of nigerian lives because he didn't nip d insurgency in d bud. Some of us tried to point out dat if dis evil ideology could affect other countries why should we think dat nigeria is immuned to it. Unfortunately, he conveniently chose to play politics by exploiting our fault lines & listening to d voices of fear, suspicion & division. Having failed to do what he should have done & waiting till election time to decisively deal wit d insurgency, he got what he deserved at d polls.
Owie, what an eediot! He even has d effontrery to compare d death of d corrupt & despicable PDP to dat of our Lord Jesus. What is wrong wit Rowland Owie dat he can not get d message - Nigerians hav rejected d PDP & their anti-people policies.

I agree with all what Owie said. Even though I love OBJ and I know he loves Nigeria too, truth be told he is ego-filled and very prideful. He likes dictating every move of any president on the seat.
Re: You Must Run Far From OBJ If You Want To Succeed As President, Owie Tells Buhari by omonnakoda: 10:20am On Apr 16, 2015
Buhari is not a learner he has ruled . When he ruled he was 41 and he did not run then. Why should he run at 72. He is more experienced now.Besides why should OBJ control him. Certainly he would want to be listened to but that is about it. He would acknowledge his role in smoothing things over with Western powers. That is the main role OBJ played in all of this ;convincing them that Buhari will not hurt their interests. Outside of Nigeria and with Western Power for reasons I do not understand,OBJ is the most accepted Nigeria ex leader.

I second that
OBJ is a very shady, conniving and manipulative character in politics
he saw buhari's imminent success, so he ported to APC
But whatever control freak plans he has won't work with buhari
the general is his own man.
If OBJ could foresee the imminent success of Buhari at the elections and ported to APC as you averred, then he must be a good overseer and a sagacious and calculative politician, whose services we cannot dispense with in a country like Nigeria.
Re: You Must Run Far From OBJ If You Want To Succeed As President, Owie Tells Buhari by deletrue: 10:30am On Apr 16, 2015
I have said it before. When people are saying this is the best election, such people are completely blind, senseless and carrying them them loosed brain cells. All the new entrants like Elrufai won with ease on apc plat form. This was one of the biggest thieves who drove away all original land owners, re-sold some to friends, government official etc. and awarded all the Abuja town planning contracts to himself yet he won just once, while Nuhu Ribadu, a powerful, populer and trusted man was voted out because he contested under pdp. Rubbish. The kind of hate from the north and the yorubas is such that any northerner whether he is the worst on earth would have won this election. I have not checked to confirm. I was told Dino Malaye also won as senator under apc. Can you imagine, that class of person who is not only an indesciple but very very childish won also under apc. If that man had contest under pdp, of course we know the result already. The gang up was such a very serious type. Thank God for giving GEJ this sense to give up in order to avert this planned fight, otherwise by now there would have been a serious fight which would been from the north. It is very clear.
