Malawi, Congo, Bar South Africans From Entering Their Country by LMAyedun(op): 2:05pm On Apr 17, 2015
The Malawian and Congolese government have reportedly stopped all South Africans from entering their country following the recent Xenophobic attacks where a few of their citizens were killed and their businesses destroyed.

The Malawian government has also allegedly thrown South African ambassador out of their country. There are also reports that Mozambican government has barred all trucks from South Africa from entering into their country.

Revenge is sweet when it's served well...
That's how active and acting a country can be! Quick response to an act draw more attention to the act itself...

Despite the horrific xenophobic attack ongoing in South Africa, the Nigerian Government has said it will move to evacuate its citizens only if the situation gets worse.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aminu Wali, on Thursday said so far Nigerians have not been attacked. “With the discussions I have been having with Nigeria’s Head of Mission in Pretoria, no Nigeria n has so far been affected,” Mr. Wali said Thursday in Abuja. ”They informed me that they have called the Nigerian community and addressed them and told them to close their shops, stay home and keep out of trouble and obey the laws of South Africa.

“They have also confirmed that the South African authority has moved in to take actions that would forestall any further disturbance in South Africa,” Mr. Wali said. Mr. Wali said it will move to evacuate its citizens if the xenophobic attacks get worse. “If it gets worse it is the duty of our country to make sure our people are brought back, and we are taking that duty serious.

”We are not prepared to allow any of our nationals to be subjected to such inhuman treatment. “We are monitoring the situation and will now take action according to the situation that develops,” he said. Xenophobia in South Africa dates back to 1994 and are mainly targeted at citizens of other African Countries.

In May 2008 a series of xenophobic attack left 62 people dead. In the current attack, at least five people have been killed and hundreds forced to flee their homes in one of South Africa’s worst outbreaks of xenophobic violence in years.

Even as this move fosters more discord, these south africans need a rude awakening. By the time south african companies and products are boycotted across the continent, they won't need anyone to tell them xenophobia has no rewards.

I love these countries. An eye for an eye.

Even if 1000 Nigerians are killed (God forbid), Nigerians will only type and curse on the Internet while waiting for God to come down and help them. Or at most go to church and hold vigil.

When is Baba assuming office? I'm tired of waiting.

Nigeria will not do anything
Are u surprised? We all know the well known pedigree of your oga at d top.
Don't b surprised he doesn't even have a clue as to what is going on in S/Africa.He maybe more concerned with preparing for his Nobel peace price award in Otuoke.
@topic,Nigeria has all d cards to play against s/frca in this matter. If we had a govt that knows what it's doing we can even use economic blackmail using d many big south Africa industries here to get special, state protection for our own citizens only.

Good. All African countries should show their displeasure for this nonsense.
Wonder why Nigeria is not taking the lead on this. Other countries seem to value their citizens more.

Re: Malawi, Congo, Bar South Africans From Entering Their Country by Nobody: 2:17pm On Apr 17, 2015
This is getting serious.

Lazy set of people. How can you blame others for your woes even when there's no preferential treatments when it comes to hiring or patronage?

If you re selling, come up with strategies on how to win customers over.

If you wanna work for organisations, polish up thy cv/resume, study gmat or its equivalent well, then move out.

Whatever services you render, do it well with innovative ideas...

Only witches/wizards are xenophobic. huh

Re: Malawi, Congo, Bar South Africans From Entering Their Country by Nobody: 2:18pm On Apr 17, 2015
cool

Very good development!
Nigeria's eye service to this issue of xenophobic attitude of south Africans has resulted to loss of lives and properties. DSTV, MULTI CHOICE, MTN, be prepared to be sanctioned heavily.

Reprisal attack loading....
Re: Malawi, Congo, Bar South Africans From Entering Their Country by Misogynist2014(m): 2:18pm On Apr 17, 2015
South Africa is one silly kinda nation where Whites lord over them as if the land is owned by their fathers. Those potheads don't know who their enemies are.

The Federal Govt of Nigeria should follow their actions and bar these things from our country.
