Saraki, when u are ready to declare ur assets, pls remember to declare d newly acquired songa farm from ur slave governor ,manage by ur uncle from zimbabwe, all d wealth hidden offshore, untaxed and beyond d reach of law enforcement,Buhari gov‘t will be like Ali with 40 thieves and saraki & co is like a thief with a blueprint. This coming APC administration will not change anything. The structure and foundation of Nigeria state is built on corruption by d coperation of d colonial masters and d hausa fulani oligary and with d northerners in power,we done enter one chance again.

They even lie amongst themselves.

APC's moto should be 'In lies and deceit we trust' tongue

Just the way Amaechi lied to senator Magnus Abe and senator Wilson Ake both of Rivers State ;He asked them to drop the PDP and join his broom waving demonic party and went behind their back to sponsor other 'yes Sir' politicians and gave them the APC's tickets for the primaries. grin

Magnus Abe being the worst hit - He was first promised Governorship and later withdrawn from him all in the lies of party first, they even said that Magnus won't sell to the Riverine Rivers State and he was replaced with Dakuku a complete stooge before thunder Wike fired and stopped their unholy alliance. grin

Chai! APC, part of half men half demons in a man's clothing. angry

That is what you were doing before your party came to power. Were you 'sad' and 'bitter'. I tell you these are the ONLY folks to remind us all of the campaign promises when some of us will conveniently choose to forget. It is the only way democracy works, please understand and don't be upset....heck, be upset na....democracy works better when people are upset.

Curbing corruption in federal government alone ammount to 50 percent reduction
Sweetguy25:
When Nigerians say a president should stop corruption, what do they mean anyway?

Is it corruption in the Judiciary, legislature or the executive arm of the federal government?
Is it the corruption in the local government council administrations or state governments?
Is it the corruption in churches?
Is it the corruption that has infested the psyche of almost every nigerian above the age of 12?

grin grin

Nigerians are big hypocrites. In fact, we are the biggest hypocrites in Africa. This country is a joke

You are a deranged creature so you'd rather Nigerians keep shut about corruption n watch it grow than clamour to end it ? By the grace of God since you have chosen to support and nurture corruption it shall lead to your doom n destruction IJN amen

That's why GMB is the boss. If you'll have an appointment in his Govt then be ready to declare your assets.

Saraki is a Senator not a political appointee that's his saving grace.
Okay. Senators are christians saved by grace. Executives are Jews saved by the law. And perhaps the Judiciary are Angels that donot sin. Hmmm. No wonder the bible says the law leadeth only to death. I'm sure it meant lawmakers in Nigeria.

Corruption in Nigeria is as amor

Lol..better put, "Saraki defends himself, says asset declaration can't stop corruption"...This is because his hands are not clean.

Saraki needs to be told that there is no way corruption can be stopped totally. It can only be reduced drastically. And if he has no skeleton in his cupboard, he shld shut d fvck up and support buhari's asset declaration idea and other reasonable ideas that may come up subsequently..its too early to be having conflicting ideas.
the problems with him is! if majority of them declear all their assets, they will arest them on the spot because the huge wealth on display must be quetionable. most of them have a wealth that can buy entire cameroon and if they dont declear all, the rest will be consider stolen! so they r afraid.

hedonistic:
Sane issue I have raised a thousand times in my discussion with friends and associates. It's a big joke to say that Buhari can successfully fight corruption - even within the executive arm of government. At best he will prevent himself from being corrupt. There's not much he can do to stop even his own ministers and countless heads of government departments, agencies and parastatals. Jonathan's preventative and systematic measures held more promise than the punitive, brash, coercive, and old fashioned 'gra gra' approach Buhari might want to adopt. Thieves in the executive arm will only get smarter to avoid being caught and the business of corruption would continue as usual.

As for corruption in the legislature, judiciary, States and local council areas, and other facets of our national life, Buhari cannot do jack.
I will hardly believe with you. To me, Buhari posture will surely fight corruption at all level of government to a large extend. Nobody is saying corruption will end with Buhari's government, mind you.

If Nigerians think Buhari will wave a magic wand and corruption will be gone, they are wrong. Corruption is not limited to the government officials it has corroded every aspect of the Nigerian life, from the citizens to the leaders. Buhari can do his lot by stopping corruption at the federal level and demanding accountability from state governments but what about the civilians. Let Nigeria have a decentralized government and let everyone know the responsibility of the president as been reduced to only significant issues. Let the senators and governors work for their states. Let all this my state is feeding you stop by letting states fund the mass of their budget with whatever resources and production they have. Let everyone be responsible for themselves.

It is wrong for saraki to be making a public statement that contradicts Gen. Buhari statement. It doesn't show respect to party leader. I must say this "Allowing saraki to become senate president will be APC biggest mistake" Saraki is not loyal.
Re: Saraki Tells Buhari: 'Declaration Of Assets Can't Stop Corruption' by Nobody: 6:54pm On Apr 18, 2015
All these GMB and anti corruption talks are becoming boring! Saraki is very correct to have said that: declaration of assets doesn't translate into effective war against corruption.

And for the records, NO single politician will be sent to prions during GMB'S tenure!

Mark my words.
