This $2.8bn issue...have heard of it since like 2006...abeg nobody brainwashed me...and u cannot compare buharis regime to that of jonathan
You know the money was traced to his personal account while there is no link whatsoever directly involving GEJ in this saga.

You have been brainwashed.

I'm certain you didn't read the report and again, if you did, you lack the capacity to understand the depth of the report. GEJ didn't fail you but a system put in place by those you blindly follow that promised you change. They enacted the laws that established the NNPC not GEJ. They blocked the passage of the PIB that will improve accountability, probity and transparency in NNPC.

Ignorance is killing us in the country and may lead us to our destruction.
When Emir Sanusi complained, what did GEJ do? That was a good chance for him to show Nigerians where his loyalty lies. However, He illegally removed Emir Sanusi. That shows the corrupt state of GEJ's mind.

I agree there were loopholes that could be exploited by corrupt officials. But, under GEJ, the corrupt ones had the license to bastardize the system.

As usual! Jonathans government characterised by massive fraud!
Read the article carefully...These double standards in NNPC and co have been going on even before GEJ came in...in my opinion I would say that GEJ had too many distractions up north and Nigeria now access to figures cos his government signed into law the FOI bill..But I would still blame him cos he is the Head of state

May our country be great.

It will be good if we all come together to support the government of the day and criticize them only when err.

We can have different views about issues but it is nauseating to read of articles ridiculing what has not even begun.

That is what barcanista is doing and that is not in anyway helpful, not only to the society but also to his own career.

4.1.6. Other findings
4.1.6.1. Data collation and single point accountability
The data gathered by the various Agencies and sub-units are kept within the custody of the respective
Agencies/SBUs. There is no single reliable data repository that can provide a holistic overview of the
crude oil sales process from end to end. As such, variances in the records which would flag issues may
be missed. Also, the opportunity to take informed decisions based on robust underlying data is
limited.
We observed that the same data obtained from different sources contained discrepancies which had
not been reconciled as at the time of this review. An example would be the details of all crude oil
cargoes lifted; information from the DPR, Pre-shipment Inspection Agencies and the NNPC COMD
had not been reconciled as at the time of review.
More so, the various Agencies and sub-units administering the crude oil sales process work in silos
and there is no single point accountability. This is characterized by record duplications, reconciling
items, opacity regarding the activities of certain Agencies/SBUs and inefficiencies.
Reconciliation was particularly challenging as we needed an independent source to verify the lifting
records provided by COMD. The data obtained from DPR and the PIAs were incomplete, duplicated
or difficult to interpret.
The reports generated by the Agencies/SBUs have different formats and classifications which creates
difficulties in comparison of similar data sets from different Agencies/SBUs. For example, the export
data as captured by the PIAs and DPR does not break down the crude oil exports per category like Tax
Oil, Royalty oil, Export crude etc

your stupidity knows no bound. I'm very sure you don't have knowledge how things work in the organized sector neither have you read the report of the audit but as usual empty skull make the loudest noise. Please educate yourself before commenting in public.

Let a similar audit be extended to Obasanjo's regime or any other regime if similar issues will not come up. Ignorance truly is the worse form of disease. We have a system problem, our processes and laws are not in tune with reality leading to these lapses. No massive fraud has been unearthed by this investigation as anticipated but recommendations made on how to improve on how the corporation is run.

please always learn to read before making disparaging comments. You are truly the myopic one.
You dont even know how to insult people. Anyway, read this.

PWC already made these observations since they concluded the report.

Its the fg that kept it hidden till now.
Why would the FG do that?

thanks for raising this.
exactly my thought, PWC sure wants to score a cheap shot and hopefully get another pay to re-audit NNPC and CBN
if GEJ had won, they would have just swept it all under the carpet.

or why not come out public that some ministries wont open up, especially when they were shaking hands and taking photographs with the commander in thief.

I honestly cant see GEJ walking a free man after May 29.
you can steal that much and expect to be forgiven
Mumu, only the person who engages an auditor can make their report public. The report was submitted to the FG who has just decided to make it public. How that one concern PwC.

I'm here bro. I'm more loyal to truth than anything. It's being my utmost stance that any step by anybody that will bring greater measure of transparency and accountability will ALWAYS have my support.

Elections are over; governance takes centre stage. If anyone is found culpable to in the report, let the law take its fullest cause.

Enough of the waste, filth and decay!
BUT WHY YOU SUPPORT THE ATTEMPT FOR CONTINUITY OF THE "waste, filth and decay!" WITH ALL YOUR POWER AND MIGHT IS WHAT WE DON'T UNDERSTAND! IT STANDS LOGIC ON ITS HEAD!!

Is PWC now making public all these because of fear that it may be sanctioned by the incoming administration? That's not good enough. If GEJ had won,so all of this will go unnoticed. We will need to evacuate the prisons by freeing petty thief's. The many high profile thieves should be the occupants. The money they looted altogether is enough to generate enough power to meet the demands of Nigeria, enough to construct good roads, standardise Nigerian universities, etc. Thank Jah we never had to go thru GEJ for another 4years. It will be more than a suicidal mission.
i tell you

Nigeria is just too rotten to the core, why does every body See being in government as an opportunity to steal? PDP are nothing but a band of rogues and cowboys sadly the APC are not any better. Those pathetic rogues are all better off dead for this sleeping giant to rise again.

I doubt if you genuinely desire the best for Nigeria.

NO ONE WHO SUPPORTED GOODLUCK JONATHAN FOR RE-ELECTION DESIRES BEST FOR NIGERIA.

EXCEPT IF AND ONLY IF HE/SHE HAS KNOWINGLY OR IGNORANTLY IGNORE THE DAMAGES GEJ IS DOING TO NIGERIA ECONOMICALLY, MORALLY, SECURITY WISE, SOCIALLY, POLITICALLY AND SPIRITUALLY, AS WELL AS THEIR CONSEQUENCES ON THE EXISTENCE AND WELL-BEING OF NIGERIA.

EVEN IF ONE DOES NOT LIKE A UNITED NIGERIA IT WILL BE BETTER TO FIND A BETTER WAY OF DISINTEGRATION THAN ALLOW GEJ TO DESTROY THE WHOLE AND THE CONSTITUENTS AT THE SAME TIME.

I HOPE BY NOW ALL OF YOU THAT FOUGHT TOOTH AND NAIL FOR JONATHA'S RE-ELECTION WOULD HAVE REALIZED YOUR INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE FOLLY BECAUSE I BELIEVE MOST OF YOU ARE NOT BENEFICIARIES OF THE CORRUPT AND INEFFICIENT ADMINISTRATION YOU SOUGHT TO PERPETUATE EVEN BY FOUL MEANS.

YOU MAY NOT REPENT OPENLY, BECAUSE THERE IS NO NEED OR PLATFORM FOR THAT, BUT YOU CAN TAKE THAT AS A LESSON THAT YOU SHOULD ALWAYS LISTEN TO REASON ON EVERY ACTION YOU TAKE, INSTEAD OF EXTREME SENTIMENT WITHOUT BOUNDS.

THIS IS JUST A TIP OF THE ICEBERG. THE NEW ADMINISTRATION HAS NOT TAKEN OVER YET.

That Report was handed over to him in person in the full glare of all the National TV stations in Nigeria. What action did he take? What was wrong with the Criminal Code, EFCC Act, ICPC Act that prevented him from starting an Investigation? Did teh National Assembly members delayed our criminal Law from coming into effect against this people? Did they prevented him from at least giving the people mentioned in the report the sack?
You sounded very funny in your observations and defence of crooks.
