President Jonathan and his members of cabinet are serial rapists, they have been raping Nigeria since 17AD. The present administration is synonymous with corruption, they are so corrupt that no sector is spared. Obj is a learner when place on the same corruption measuring scale with GEJ. Not only did this present administration made so much money from high crude sales, they still reaped gullible Nigerians off of the only tangible benefit (SUBSIDY) they were getting from the govt and despite all these monies, the country has nothing to show for it. No new infrastructure and existing ones are in a state of moribund, no single social program, unemployment reached unprecedented level. The sins of this outgoing administration are just too many! GMB might not be able to judge them all, but I'm sure posterity will do a good justice. |

Subsidy= Indirectly feeding the cabals (inclusive of some elements in the government), and continuing with the same old BS (poor infrastructure+low quality of living). No subsidy= Paying relatively higher pump prices (especially, if the refineries ain't doing much), and trusting the government to utilize the money saved from paying the cabals, to benefit us all. For the government to earn the people's trust, I think they have to start off by, hugely slashing those insane wages/excesses of theirs . . . lets start from there. #trustissues #caughtinbetween2devils |

jmoore:Can you please post the transcript of where he said that? Cos I did not hear him say he will "stabilse the oil price". He however said he will "stabilise the oil market". |
| Re: Subsidy Removal: Nigerians Gear Up For Showdown Against Buhari by dustydee: 4:12pm On Apr 30, 2015 |
anigold:My point is he did not say that. And OPEC plays a huge role in stabilising oil prices and they are currently doing that. |

double0seven:Buhari na person? Who do you think he is? Each time people quote Buhari's remarks, you will flare up. After all Buhari is daft, without school certificate, meaning he a stark illitrate. The other day, Buhari told the world that GEJ and his government will never know peace, it came to pass. Why are people taking this Broom stick-like tiny Buhari so serious and special? Why? |

na wa o, so much hate and cursing, we need to understand that if the leaders fail that means we all have fail, we need to take a critical look, there so much corruption in the oil sector, question: how did subsidy rise up from billion to about 2 trillion, who are these marketers, price of crude oil has fallen which is suppose to affect the price of petroleum products yet we still pay high for subsidy, our refineries still produce if not upto 100 percent, but the little they produce where does it go, farouk lawal was doing a wonderful job b4 the bribe incident, I could remember watching on channels TV, some of the marketers could not defend themselves, where is the report today. and other reports that have proffered solution for the oil sector. it's either we forget or we choose to forget all these things. let's stop all these fighting and cursing and start preferring solutions, we don't know who could be reading. IMO at one point subsidy has to go, building refinery is not rocket science. |

If only they can revive our refineries from the subsidy money without squandering it as usual, it'll be a welcomed development. This is where #BabaOneChance's stern resolve will be tested. His profile can be used check those petroleum marketers (who are the real thieves) from instigating another silly protest, forming to be pained by the suffering of the masses, meanwhile they're using the people to protect their business. SUBSIDY must go! |

no cause for show down. Baba and David West will make refineries work, sell petrol at #40 a litre and without paying subsidy to anybody |

my view, buhari should maintain the removal of the subsidy besides fuel presently sells above the official rate (110 in my area). he should concentrate on repairing our dilapidated refineries to maximum production and expand the electricity supply thus creating employment for our youths rather than allow some marketers, NNPC and politicians to enrich themselves. |

| Re: Subsidy Removal: Nigerians Gear Up For Showdown Against Buhari by gabicon: 4:49pm On Apr 30, 2015 |
I keep asking myself certain questions about my beloved country, when will certain things end? When will subsidy end? When will nddc end? If we don't have a stop date for these activities then no true development will come to their corresponding quarters. Its clear this subsidy thing is a scam why do we still insists it goes on? My suggestion to the incoming administration is for them to build an nnpc mega station in every local government of the country, sell the fuel produced by our refinery, import fuel as a state (let an arm of nnpc handle fuel importation) and sell this fuel only in the mega stations. ever other private company is permitted to import fuel and sell at their own price. So our mega station caters for the poor and less privileged in all local governments. Many of the companies parading themselves as oil marketers will either close down or be forced to adjust their prices as normal businesses do to survive. |

dre11:it was removed by jonathan and the outgoing senate and house of reps just passed the budget. But another new senate and house of rep is coming on board ,and they will have to pass a new supplementary budget which will give provision to the subsidy. Jonathan was very clever about this ,if he had left the subsidy claim ,buhari and apc would be telling nigerians that they have no money because gej and the senate had already passed a budget with subsidy money included. But now it is left for buhari to either include it or not. If buhari includes it ,then that means there is no change in the system because we all know the subsidy claim is faulty, if buhari decides to stop it ,theb nigerians will react and oppose him thereby bringing his popularity rating down. What jonathan did was to allow apc and buhari determine the fate of a policy that has been hampering the development of nigeria ,a policy gej vigorously wanted to remove but was opposed by apc. |
