barcanista:God keeps very busy in Nigeria, perhaps because there is a place of worship every ten steps on any Nigerian street you care to mention. God help you if you need to buy a meal in Nigeria, since eating establishments are outnumbered 10,000 to one by places of worship there, BUT, if you don't mind worshiping on an empty stomach, Nigeria will not let you down. |

pazeinza:People are so wired up in their tribal issues that they do not realize that the North is not all Hausa/Fulani but a mixture of a lot of tribes which appear similar but are not. |

nerodenero:The life of a street dog is much more valuable than yours. The North owns Nigeria, PDP is zonning the presidency back to the North in 2019- thats the Hardcore truth |

| Re: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by Nobody: 8:34am On May 01, 2015 |
Mynd44:You fail to answer my question. Does that mean ALL residents of Rivers State are indigent people? If you say "population" what is the Official percentage of Northerners and those in the Lower Niger? You are not being sincere with yourself for justifying this grave injustice and inequality (I am not surprise though). |
| Re: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by pazeinza: 8:34am On May 01, 2015 |
Mynd44:some of them are just too ignorant. Do you know that in Kebbi state alone they are more than 25 different ethnic groups apart from the Hausas, some of which have not been given any political position since the independence of Nigeria |

barcanista:The igbo man needs to wake up and become more politically active, we need to start being very active on social media, try to own media houses, be proactive in their votes, participate actively in census and electoral exercise, being igbocentric before a Nigerian. The contraption called Nigeria was built to fail and to keep the Hausas in the mAjority. During the last census exercise, I worked as a supervisor in Adamawa state, the pressure from govt officials to inflate the figures was so enormous that I had to throw in the towel for my own safety. The inhabitants of the place my enumerators covered wasn't up to 1000 but the figures were inflated to 8000. I shook my head when I called my friends in the east and I was told that figures were not inflated because the northern supervisors posted there didn't allow for it. There was an redeployment of supervisors to diffrent states of the federation |

Nice observation from the OP but we must not shy away from the fact that all ethnics and tribes were present when they propounded these laws and theories that you actually think is not in favour of your particular tribe. Besides, the current President is from South South, what actually stopped him from looking into this issue? If your fellow Igbo tribes are seeing it the way u're viewing it, they ought to have suggest a solution during the last CONFAB or ur brothers were just sent to CONFAB to warm the seat? |

PapiWata:PDP is zonning the presidency back to the North in 2019, deal with that |
| Re: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by Mynd44(mod): 8:37am On May 01, 2015 |
PapiWata:Here we go with our usual conspiracy theories again. You just say the figures by the OP. Where the Hausa/Fulani are said to have a huge amount of the population of almost 30%. If you use a standard of a population of 150million it means there are almost 45million people of Hausa/Fulani descent in Nigeria. Add that to a huge number of non-natives living there and then consider that Kogi, Benue, Kwara (all NE) are not really indigent states of the Hausa/Fulani, you are looking at a about 60 million people living in these 13 states and you question their huge representation? Why not do an analysis of the SE/SS? |

barcanista:I honestly don't know the population on rivers state but I believe katsina and kaduna are more populated. I'm not saying that I know. You should also learn to consider the size of the states |
| Re: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by Nobody: 8:38am On May 01, 2015 |
PapiWata:The Leaders of the Lower Niger that agreed to this arrangement did us a great disfavor. This can't continue. It clearly means that people at the lower Niger are at the mercies of the North in terms of having their requests granted. This is absurd |

Northern leaders are curse to their regions. With this amount of inequality in the system they still have nothing to show for it!! Their brothers n sisters are on every street in Nigeria begging for money, they sleep in the mist of their cattle with rag on their bodies, killing themselves in the name of their religious! Barcanista, I don't envy them at all!! |
| Re: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by Nobody: 8:38am On May 01, 2015 |
abduljabbar4:You don't know but you "believe" already that Katsina and Kaduna are more populated. This is a clear case of blind argument. |

ECOTERRORS:I believe the govt in power in Adamawa state and Abuja is PDP led. Thank God for this info so when any confused person brings up inanities and revisionism next time......they will do well to absorb this revelation. Thank God for the SE then but same can't be said for the SS. |
| Re: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by internetpirate: 8:41am On May 01, 2015 |
Why do you think Festus Odimegu was booted out of NPC? The answer is in falsified population census figure! Let's use a means of verification like card readers, facial recognition software etc for census and see what would happen! It would take a magician to say Nassarawa is more populated than Abia or Kaduna is more populated than Port Harcourt! barcanista: |
| Re: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by Mynd44(mod): 8:41am On May 01, 2015 |
barcanista:First of all what dafuq is the Lower Niger? What's states constitute this geographical zone? Lets keep to SE/SS. This is what is recognized in Nigeria. About population percentage, why not show me your figures? Why did you not put those figures beside the number of representatives? You see Ekiti with 6 HOR members, Zamfara with 9 and you keep quiet right? But you see Kano and Lagos and scream murder and some marginalization. Does the population of River+Delta come close to that of Kano+Kaduna? Start your argument there |
| Re: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by nerodenero: 8:42am On May 01, 2015 |
pazeinza:So this translate to the north owning Nigeria . Check the meaning of 'own' in your dictionary if you have one and learn . Anyway, run along boy, in this trade, you are still a learner ![]() |

Don't mind the fella! Some people thrive on minor arguments to justify heinous crimes!!! barcanista: |
| Re: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by Nobody: 8:44am On May 01, 2015 |
ECOTERRORS:This is just one step which I agree. However, this issue MAY not be revisited by following the Nigeria pattern. The ko-ko now is that the call for True Federalism should be topmost in agenda, then every region should produce EQUAL number of delegates to the Central parliament. This I believe is a legitimate call. |
| Re: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by ZKOSOSO(m): 8:45am On May 01, 2015 |
Let's drift the argument a bit towards the contribution of each state to the federation account. The North virtually contributes nothing. Absolute ZERO. Just a giant parasite of ingrate magnitude. It's painful when u see how the leadership of the country is tilted to empower only the hausafulanis. Checkout the nos of reps in non hausafulani part of the North. It's made to be so smaller that keep them as slave or puns in their chess game of politics. The country needs to be dissolved. I pray it happen in my lifetime. |

| Re: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by internetpirate: 8:51am On May 01, 2015 |
Stop using minor arguments to justify heinous crimes! It's pathetic how some people latch on to one seemingly inconsistency to justify tripe! Neyoor: |
| Re: The Political Inequality In Nigeria by Mynd44(mod): 8:52am On May 01, 2015 |
barcanista:So Ekiti should have the same number of representatives as Lagos right? Or okay, if you mean region, the NC should have the same as NW right? These calls for federalism are not the way it goes. If you do not have the population you cannot call for the same representation as those who have double or triple your population. |

barcanista:WHEN WILL THE SHUWA ARABS, ANOTHER MINORITY ETHNIC GROUP IN NIGERIA BE GIVEN THE PRESIDENCY? ATLEATS AN IJAW HAS RULED NIGERIA FOR FIVE YEARS, WHEN IS IT GOING TO BE THE TURN OF THE SHUWA ARABS? THEY HAVE NOT BE GIVEN ANY MINISTERIAL POSITION IN THE HISTROY OF NIGERIA; THEY ARE ABSENT IN THE SENATE, CIVIL SERVICE ETC. WHEN WILL NIGERIA STOP MARGINALISING THE SHUWA ARABS? |
