Hi guys, thinking of getting a bmw 525 or 530i soon but i'm not too sure of the maintenance aspect. I have owned a benz and honda before and maintenance was not an issue. Is there anyone who can advice on what to expect good or bad with the bmw 525/530 models (year 2007 upwards). |

Im contemplating getting this toks '01 316i someone just put up two streets away. I want to move over to BMW, but im thinking i need a headstart with some experience first. Im a power hungry driver and I know the 1.6L engine will leave me yearning for more power but i think i need an introduction before going for what i really want - an 06 330xi if thats available. Or i could just upgrade to a higher family of currently owned Audi A6. |

I wanna get the 1994 BMW 3 Series E36 model (The car is looking real neat and engine is very sound with chilling factory fitted ac) Strip it down and p.im.p it to look lyk a racing car, before I sink a lot of money, I wanna know if this car is really reliable and how's the fuel consumption like, maintenance cost and cost of spare parts.... I wanna restore the car to be a head turner These are list of kits to be ordered if I can get a concise information about this car. Duraflex Front and Back Bumper Duraflex Aerodynamic Spoiler M3 decals M power badge Racing Stripes (Black and White) Front bumper lip Side Skirt Angel eye halo light Smoke Tail lights Etc

fashrola:Car looks clean, what type of engine sits in yours? If you're doing this tune/love vendor project, pls do it neatly and let it not be too 'in your face' and outlandish, Instead let it be a real stunner and beauty to behold. |

lomomike:Thx I appreciate... it's a 4 cylinder engine with a HP of 140 / 230km/hr... I have not bought the car yet though.... though making plans to complete the transaction.... never own a BMW before, (An Audi and Lexus car owner) That's why I came to this BMW forum for more information about the car.. For the restoration project I know wat to do to make it a head turner ![]() Why I choose this BMW series is because of its strong body.... And rugged and muscle shape... likened to MB 190 |

| Re: BMW Owners' Forum by PtBlank: 1:21am On May 04, 2015 |
lungwun:Thank you Lungwun. Can you also recommend a good coolant please. The indicator for low coolant level is already coming up on the dashboard. @Coldplay, a colleague's bro imported it from the US, so I bought from him. |

Hello everyone! Love the group and what it stands for. How come no one is talking about the 7 Series? I have attached a photo of my e66, loving it!! I've had an X5 - all grunt and beastly, but the 7?, comfort and toys compared to none :-) Now, I've had my fair share of stuff to fix but then..... Looking at it, it's all worth it. I'll post more pictures later. Cheers everyone. Please add me to the what's app group: 08169793249

![]() Finally got my Beemer... An E39 525i touring.... Ground clearance is not too good so planning to change the "follow come" size 15 tires to 16.. Mechanic recommend that I should change the springs of the shock absorber to longer ones to lift the car... Is that advisable? |
| Re: BMW Owners' Forum by uboma(m): 9:30pm On May 11, 2015 |
Coldplay007:Congrats on your newly acquired Bimmer. Please ignore any advice to change the springs so as to lift the car. Your Bimmer will fare badly if you go ahead with lifting it. You may have to consider changing your driving pattern like slowing down when you get to bad roads or pot holes/speed breakers. And not carrying more than 3 persons at the back. Please oblige us with some pictures of your Bimmer. |
| Re: BMW Owners' Forum by Nobody: 10:35pm On May 11, 2015 |
Mrs Coldplay007. congratulations on the acquisition of your Beemer as d poster above me said don't listen to that Kazeem of a mechanic. U will sacrifice factory comfort & stability @ the expense of raising your vehicle. And please do feed our hungry eyes with pictures of your new acquisition if that's ok by you. |
