For a 1 year prog you're eligible for a 1year pgwp, for a 2yr prog you're eligible for a 3yr pgwp.

You either take a straight 2year prog, or two 1year progs respectively.

Like I said earlier, 1 year prog = 1 year pgwp, 2 yrs prog = 3 yrs pgwp.

So u either take 2yrs straight, or two 1year programs ...

What I'm trying to clarify is something I saw on the CIC website about giving pgwp of not more than 8 months to programs that last for 8 months. I want to know if the college programs will be classified under 8 months or one year because the program duration stated by the college states one year but the actual duration is 8 months and CIC will issue a pgwp based on the calculation of when you received a notification of completion of studies which will not be up to one year after the start of the program.

Well I get you now, if your college regards an eight month prog as a year, then a year it is, esp if its stated on ur loa as 1year certificate

You go for biometrics when you get a message instructing you to do so. This message contains a letter, which you're expected to print out and take with you to the biometrics centre. You do not have to go on the same day. There is a 30 day period from the date your application was submitted within which you should conclude your biometrics. However, it is advisable to do it as soon as possible to avoid possible delays.
