I have this strong feeling within me, that banks will credit all our accounts, on or before friday next week, 15/5/2015. Some will receive 3 months, some 2 months, while remaining ones will receive 1 month. May God help us and sustain us, amen.

That you may know that RIVERS STATE government deliberately refused to pay workers if the IGR of rivers state is indeed 9BILLION as said by Mrs Ibim semenitari below, wat stops it from paying workers salary from it ?

The Rivers State Government has assured that it has
concluded plans to pay workers their salaries for the month of
April, next week.
The state Commissioner for Information and
Communications, Mrs Ibim Semenitari, admitted yesterday,
that the government owed workers’ salaries for April,
insisting that the March salaries of workers have been paid.
Semenitari, who was reacting to complaints that the state
government was still owing civil servants two months’ salary,
said that Rivers State Government was one of the few states
that have remained consistent in the payment of workers’
salaries.
She also disclosed that the state government had been able to
sustain itself mainly because of the increase in the internally-
generated revenue (IGR), which rose from N2billion to over
N7billion monthly.
“I can beat my chest to say that we are the only state aside
Lagos that has paid salaries up-to-date. We have paid up to
March, and we plan to pay April salaries from next week”,
Semenitari said.
“April ended few days ago. And you should remember that
some states are still owing their workers eight months, six
months, four months salaries. Rivers State is able to pay
because it does not rely on FAC. It depends on its IGR to pay.
Our IGR has moved from N2billion to N9billion,” she added.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Government has condemned the
needless violent protest yesterday in Port Harcourt over the
delay in the payment of workers’ salaries, saying that the
government has “consistently shown good faith in our
dealings with all categories of persons”.
The state Commissioner for Information and
Communications, Mrs Ibim Semenitari, who made the
condemnation in a statement, Monday, in reaction to a protest
by some persons claiming to be staff of the Rivers State
Ministry of Sports, who are allegedly owned eight months’
salary, assured that the government would “continue to ensure
the payment of staff salaries because it believes that the
welfare of its workers must be paramount in governance.”
According to her, “while the Government of Rivers State will
not wish to join issues with the demonstrators, it wishes to
note that all civil servants employed by the Government of
Rivers State have been paid salaries up to the month of
March, with plans to commence payment of April salaries”.
She noted that the government “will not treat with levity
matters concerning other staff in its employ who while they
may not be civil servants, are ad-hoc staff deserving of fair
treatment.
“Government, however, must verify all claims by persons
who may be so employed to enable it compute what salaries
and wages are due these categories of persons and address the
matter as may be most appropriate”, she pointed out.
Semenitari said “while we appreciate the challenges many
persons face in our country today, we dare say that it is
curious that this protest is coming on the heels of spurious and
mischievous allegations by some persons that the Rivers State
Government is indebted to its workers.
“The Rivers State Government, for the avoidance of doubt,
reiterates its commitment to its workers, and promises that it
will meet all obligations to all persons in its employ”,
Semenitari added.

if this is true, I think Mr Amaechi is heartless, even saying he has paid all civil servants March salary with boldness n consistently saying it thru his commissioner is very bad of him. It is well

Teachers of Distinction!!
At this critical time hard to deal with, all we need is prayers. let stop the name calling and abuse of those in authority. there is nothing we can do now that to rely and trust implicitly in God.
with him all things are possible

Who will say, when my God has not said. "Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?" (Lamentations 3:37). Everyone has the right to be angry, unpaid civil servant like us, have the right to be angry, Mr governor has the right to be angry for the election outcome. All I know is that the heart of the King is in the hand of the lord "The king’s heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will." (Proverbs 21:1). . As a child of God, am assuring us that, by this day next week, our accounts will be credited (between now and next week friday), as I likely said before, some will receive three months, some two months and the remaining ones, will receive one month.

instead of staying here to complain over spilled oil, there are so many other options for u:

try and find what can keep food on ur table for now until RSG is ready for you to work for them.

from 2pm to 9pm is big time for you to make a little money for yourself.

if you are feed up with the work, RESIGN cos I know that your salary is not even enough for a month.

just my candid advice cos am not happy with the E-fight here always.

To tell pple to try and find wat can keep food on dia table is an angelic advice - a good one ... But to tell pple to resign from a hard earned rivers state government job is a satanic advice nd who told u dia salaries are not enough for dem for d month?
Who r u exactly , an angel giving pple hope for a better future or Satan trying to increase poverty in d land ? Telling pple to stop complaining of evil nd injustice and resign dia jobs is ignorance from ur part , if dey resign dia jobs will it end d evil nd injustice by ur mentor AMAECHI ?
