This is mathematically invalid and contradictory ! But just for fun you can assume infinitely many solutions to it;
0/0 is like asking "how many 0s in 0?"
Are there no zeros in zero at all? Or perhaps there is exactly one zero in zero? Or many zeros?
So 0/0 is indeterminate (it could be any value).
In conclusion:
When we try to divide by zero, things stop making sense
0/0 = ∞

The calculation is 100% mathematically correct. All the steps are correct. Kudos to the mathematician!

However, in Mathematics, 0/0 is considered undefined. In fact, 0/0 could be proved be equal to several numbers, just like the mathematician proved that 0/0 = 2.

Once again, kudos to the mathematician!

For those of you condemning the mathematician, you need to go back to school!
Nice man. I at first did not reason that way. Since 0/0 is also equal to infinity that means say we are considering a limit of 0-2 then 2 can be an infinity since there are uncountable range of numbers between 0-2.
But don't blame them for condemning the solution, they are also right. The solution is an absurdity. Whatever you do to the left you also do to the right. And what you do to the top(numerator) you also do to the denominator. So wen he changes 10^2-10^2 to a difference of two squares then he should have also changed the denominator which was the same to the difference of two square.
But ust confess,it actually nice. His out of the box thinking.

I think this is a mathematical proof that something can come out of nothing, thus the Big Bang!

n/0 = infinity
Thus
0*infinity = n
where n is a positive integer
This is what proves to me that something can come out of nothing since, as the equation shows, nothing when multiplied an infinite number of times (which essentially is what space is, infinite) gives you something (the stars and the planets).

He did not cancel 10 with - 10. But (10-10)/(10-10).it really make sense. All my years of teaching mathematics I have never reason it this way
Good correction but in maths 4 u to cancel out from numerator n denominator, u agree that they re of same value .so cancelling out gives u 1.x/x=1,5/5=1, (10-10)/(10-10)= For me it equals 0/0 which is back to square one.for d op to cancel out it means he is assuming (10-10)/(10-10),which is 0/0 gives 1,while trying to proove 0/0 gives 2. The solving already faults d claim.
My humble thoughts

0/0 is a multiple solution

He started failing it from the point where he struck out 10 and -10,the 10 on top is supposed to equate to -1 when divided by -1 which when put into the equation, will give you 19/10.
And secondly, you cant stricke out numbers that way. They are in brackets in their own different equations i.e an equation in an equation.
So my point is, the person who provided this so called 'proof' is a dullard

You need to take back ur words cos it's very correct and true!

Any number/0 is undefined

Undefined in the sense that it can be manipulated to produce any number (from negative infinity to positive infinity)

So I guess he has a point......but he "unknowingly" proved the fact of the undefined nature of a denominator zero.

To further prove that; you can replace all the 100 by another number with a perfect square..(4,9,16,25,36.............). I would say it is mathematically interesting cos if looked into can emit some interesting corollary

N.B: I'm a graduate of Mathematical Sciences (Statistics) so I know what I'm saying. Bless u

Referring to the numerator, -10 x 10 is not equal to -10^2 as written by the Mathematician. Instead, -10 x 10 = -100 while -10^2 = +100. The numerator says 100-100 not 100+100. Therefore the so called Mathematician is so wrong that he needs to get this off before small children see it and get confused
u are absolutely correct bro! dont hav to go far. 0/0 =infinity i.e unimaginable, unobtainable .etc....

This is a basic law: a^2 - b^2 = (a-b)(a+b)

I am always willing to learn new things but my simple research did not agree with the bolded as there is no excemption. In mathematic, a can be equal to b

But finally I have to admit that every point the denominator ends in a subtraction that equals zero the whole thing ends as undefined making the cookie crumble. So theorem fallacied.

Cool.. Yes in Maths a can be equal to b.. but not when using difference of two squares.. Except if am missing something.. Because that will just end up as zero.

One thing we always ignore and neglect in Mathematics is the rule guiding every THEOREM or PRINCIPLE. All his proof was exceptionally correct apart from the fact that (s)he does not know the rule of "DIFFERENCE OF TWO SQUARES" which implies that it is not possible to use DIFFERENCE OF TWO SQUARES if (a = b). but unfortunately, in his statement of problem (100 = 100) which is not applicable in the principle.

my brother, if you look well, you will see that his denominator which was (10-10) suddenly became (0-10) when he wanted to cancel out. And when he was cancelling, he made it look like it was just one number he was cancelling instead of the whole brackets. At the time i made that comment, my eyes were focusing on how his 10 suddenly turned to 0 and then he struck out just one number above and below.
and i don't intend to modify that post 'cos i've already stated in another post i made earlier that it was a mistake on the part of the OP and i. #peace
