RIP man. Your father is/was a political legend. Zik still remains the foremost Nigerian nationalist, no other comes close. If there's one reason why I don't want Nigeria to breakup, it is only because of Nnamdi Azikiwe. His dreams for Nigeria must come to pass.
The dream of Zik of Africa must come to pass....the dream of his boss and mentor the great Herbert Macaulay must come to pass!!!

RIP sir,wen u get de ,Tel Pa ZIK of Africa ,dat all dia struggles N effort to make 9ja a beta place all went in vein o,all dia successors no try @all mayb d chnge is here
Which change?

Oga no mind this man oo,

Tell Oga Zik the truth!

Tell him that the generation who were running the affairs of Nigeria in the 60s are still the same ones running it today.
Then inform him that the killing of Nigerians by Nigerians inside Nigeria is now worse than when they were around.

Tell him that the Noblezone is not happy with him, that apart from the fraud called "ONE" Nigeria, I am yet to see any other legacy he left for us.

Sir, I wish I knew when you were leaving I would have given you a note to Odimewgwu, the people's General.
Just tell him that we are no longer afraid to discuss Biafra. That his dream is alive in our hearts.

Safe journey

Adieu.

Son of the Great Zik of Africa - arguably the greatest orator Nigerian politics has ever witnessed.

Spoke Yoruba, Ibo and Hausa.

Zik was a more refined version of Patrick Obahiagbon.

Please who can explain why there is bamidele in his name?...is the mothe Yoruba?
Part of it's affinity for the Yoruba's in his political group of NCNC then. People like Adeniran Ogunsanya and co who was his top lieutenant then. He was really a detribalized man . RIP to his son.

Its sad, but look at the country, poor hospitals, and poor governors and senators, even in the very Anambra state.

Too bad

Onitsha people love bearing Yoruba names cheesy
Don't be unnecessarily stupid. Nnamdi Azikiwe was a strong believer in one Nigeria such that he spoke alln 3 Nigerian languages and gave his first son a Yoruba middle name to solidify his belief in one Nigeria. However, I doubt if Chukwuma himself gave his own kids yoruba names.

What is silly about my comment? There are better ways to communicate your thoughts but this is certainly not one of them! Go do your research first before thinking you are an authority on this issue! l grew up in Lagos beside an Onitsha family, when we were still around 7/8 years the youngest child in that Onitsha family was in his 20's. so they were uncles and aunties figures to us and we knew them by their yoruba names despite the fact that both of their parents were from Onitsha, inland town to be precise. There was this elderly woman who was also our neighbour, she was from Rivers state and was popularly known as Mama Rivers her children were known by their Yoruba names despite both parents coming from Rivers state!

Watch your words!

Maybe if you were a little boy and you saw your father being hounded by opponents, being imprisoned and killed. You hear of betrayals and secrets and rites of initiation and attempted assasinations and all the different conditions these families lived under. You may vow never to put your own kids under such conditions and limelight. Perhaps there are still some enemies lurking ready to strike, perhaps you are privy to some secrets that are too disturbing. Perhaps you may have had all the excitement that would last you a lifetime.
