If Nigeria divides the little industries we have here in SW will have no option than to leave.

I am from the SS, but I really can't believe this is from a genuine SW. How did the SW survive in the 50s and 60s. You were the biggest cocoa producers in the world! Your fathers developed the western region and built cocoa house in Ibadan all from the proceeds of cocoa and other agric products.
This is the problem with Nigeria today, ALL the regions have become lazy, everybody is just waiting for monthly allocation of oil money. Every region in Nigeria has sufficient human and natural resources to be buoyant. One day when the oil is no longer available, they will be forced to look inwards

If there's any region that will suffer independently, it is definitely not the SW. This regions has it all oil, Agriculture, trade Mineral resources just name it. On top of it it is the most advanced and most organised region in the country.

SE on the other hand has no oil, agriculture is low with erosion wrecking havoc on the lands. Also, one of the most unorganised region in the country.

SS has little or no land to farm. The price of oil is not stable and can see a steady decrease in the future. Also, the oil can dry up. The oil will eventually become a curse to the region if they should leave because it is the most diverse region in the country viz Ijaw, Itsekiri, Ikwere, Urhobo to name a few. They have never been totally tolerant of each other.

NE, NW, NC (North in general) may not boast of the mineral resources, Oil and Administrative advantage the rest has but they sure has one thing, Agriculture. The northern states had been feeding the nation for a very long time with their farm produce.

So tell me what SE has over the rest, especially SW that will make it succeed more that the rest.

Oh, yeah finally. The Biafra republic is granted. Would there be a call like that of Ojukwu for igbo people in other regions to return home? What happens to the Igbo people and their multimillion assets/investment in other regions. I think there is a misconception here. The truth is that all Biafrans are igbos buh all igbos are not biafrans. So to the Deluded biafrans, the reality is that u aint going no where even if nigeria concede to ur demands. History will be very kind to Ojukwu despite plunging his race into a war he did not prepare for. The war was forced on him and it became very imperative for him to go to war. After the war, he transformed into a Nigerian democrat and even attempted to rule Nigeria through the ballot. He died a Nigerian statesman and was accorded full Nigerian national funeral.

Now to these comedians shouting Biafra all over the place, definitely, history will be very harsh on them. After over 45 years, there was no preparation, no strategic thought process, no re-orientation for the people. THe best crop of the Igbo people are still scattered all over the country, developing the economy of other regions to the detriment of their ''homeland''. Vast number of the people are not educated, enlightened, cultured (apologies please). Good, they are very industrious, hardworking and ingenious, one would have expected that for a race that is desirous of self rule, their leaders should have invested tremendously on the human assets but the reverse seems to be the case here.

At one time they are scheming and wanting to be captains of Nigerian economy wherever they are in Nigeria except the SE, at another, they are desirous of self rule. What exactly do they want? What is the strategic intent of the Igbo race either within or without Nigeria.

There is absolutely nothing wrong in a people desiring autonomy. But the leaders must be serious minded, focused and visionary. If Ojukwu were to be alive today, I bet he would never support any of these clowns wanting Biafra simply because they had good forty five years to prepare and they did not. If the SE should secede today, they would be the worst of it, the new nation among many woes will be lacking in goodwill from its immediate neighbors and the untold hardship of its nationals in those places can only be better imagined!

I am Igbo from Idemili in Anambra State. I personaly think that this Biafra agitation has been encouraged by the frustrations of the way things has been in Nigeria.
That is why this incoming administration and subsequent coming administrations must ensure that they make Nigeria work for all man be it East, West, North and South. Try and reduce the sufferings and frustrations across the Land. If done all these agitation will just die down.
I believe despite the hate, frustrations and negative emotions we see both online and offline, there is a unique bond joining us all together as a nation.

I know my people very well, they can easily be won over and they dont demand much, once they see the nation working even in little ways, they will fall in line, and they will give their all because one unique thing about them is that they act as good catalyst for development because they travel far and wide coupled with their being very industrious.

And sometimes they can be a pain in the but.t because sometimes they can be blunt and crude telling it as it is (hahaha:-D:-D:-D), but bear with then we are all brnthers and one. One love.
