I don't think you read or maybe you didn't understand what they were saying. In brief what they are saying is that Nigerian embassies abroad do little to protect the interest of Nigerians there. They claim some of the convictions are spurious and could have probably been averted. The bodies of Nigerians executed were not taken care of while other responsible nations cared for their own. Yes they want the killings to stop, they won't be the only group to demand that, even UN Secretary General called for the abolishment of death sentence.
As a Nigerian, I feel pained that our youths get convicted abroad for drug trafficking, sometimes on spurious charges. It is however much more painful that embassies funded be tax payers' money do not rise to the occasion when need arises. Our government is totally irresponsible and it partly because of their irresponsibility that some of our youths become frustrated and resort to drug-peddling. Those guys have right to protest against an irresponsible Nigerian government in Nigeria!
the Indonesian law is very clear, drug trafficking is punishable by death, simple

Why are they protesting... why can't we make laws
They died cos they go against the law of their country...
why can't they face the indians coming to Nigeria to employ Nigerians only to maltreat them in their own father's land.

This country ehn... Some of us dey always think upside down
You are on point,I nearly kill one indian man for where I they work. Those guys are digusting and with there bad breath.I hate them with passion.

For sending the message that not a single Nigerian life is worth wasting by the miscarriage of justice by any foreign nation.
Thats not their message on this protest.
Let me help with clarification. They are agitated that the FG has not intervened to block execution of convicted drug smugglers. FG does not need to intervene.

We must discourage the culture of buying out convicted criminals from the consequence of their crime. Amnesty should be for political prisoners, not criminals nd terrorists.

When the offending countries do not apply their own laws fairly and routinely slap the hands of people who commit the same offence but decide to kill Nigerians who do the same; any sane Nigerian should have a problem with that. If you do not, you have my pity.

All I can say is:

FOOLISH PROTESTERS....

I never knew Nigerians had the energy to protest a perceived "wrong."

Indonesia, Malaysia, China and many other Asian countries made it clear that drug offences are punishable by death. Do the crime and face death. Period! My sympathy lies with only those who have been wrongly convicted!

I have some suggestions for these protesters:

********

1. Protest against power failure in Nigeria
2. Protest against corruption in Nigeria
3. Protest against the killing of the innocent by our law enforcement units in Nigeria
4. Storm the offices of elected officials who have failed to keep their electoral promises in Nigeria

********

These protesters are simply misdirected and fools! Rubbish. Nonsense. Mtshewww.

lol..no wonder..but I no lie na. U no see say na igbo dey dominate pple wey den dey execute? Talk true. Shey u no see am? The wrongest thing to do in this case is to protest..this protest in itself is condemnable.. Educating/enlightening the masses on the dangers of drug traffikking is the way out and not this sh*t called protest.
