barcanista:Mr Bigot, you guys are your own enemies. Your son Goodluck Jonathan had the opportunity to better your lot but what did he do for you guys? That was one of the errors he made. Fiscal Federalism or not, you guys will continue to be your own problems and if you don't deal with that, Niger Delta will not move forward. If you are thinking of a coalition with Biafra, it will not work because even we, the Igbos are not united. If our governors cannot treat us well in Nigeria is it in Biafra that they will treat us well? Let's just support this government and stop blaming others for our own errors. Nigeria will be great again. |

[s]I guess you didn't read that comment well before commenting... Don't be in a hurry to comment when you read a headline or the first line of comment... The commenter was questioning the OP's claim that Biafra is a better option for the region and not the selfish interest of those who lost election..[/s] obi4eze: |

I don't like commenting on NL before now. But since SW have been using this forum to denigrate my people, I can sit on the fence anylonger. Insha Allah, GMB is going to rule our great country starting from the end of this month. As an elder stateman and somebody that have seen it all, I pray he heals our wounds and launch on a path of greater greatness. My people from SW should know n understand that voting 4 GMB does not make the Jagaban a saint and somany of his cohorts. Including the people that were caught trying to ferry their state money to U.A.E, even when they are owing the state civil service for 7 months. I shaded tears when at the initial period they said that the reason they couldn't pay was that GEJ stopped their allocation later it turned to the lie of the millenium. They were amassing those massive debts because they believed that if they loose the second term, the new government will be stranded. Now they are still the new government and coupled with the cash crunch that's affecting the whole country, they find themselves in a quagmire. Still the little remaining cheese is being squandered. May God help us all. |

teufelein:And that is why I am different from others. I am not sentimental but realistic. I know my people well. Biafra will not work for now because of our mentality. Go to the SE States and see how many governors are doing well. For what you said about asking my mum I'll let it slide and pretend I didn't see it. |

Obi4eze can go and eat a dick. We have learnt a lot from the entity called Nigeria.our new agenda can only be better than naija. People like him should stay in SW and continue bearing their names( Seuns, Tundes) people with identity problems |

udordike: ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks bro but if you achieve secession please don't let me into Biafra. Like I said earlier, Biafra cannot work for now because we, the Igbos are our own problems. Let's deal with the problem within before we tackle the one without. For now, we have no other country but Nigeria |

obi4eze:Am from Anambra, and my state is working and very viable because we try to vote in technocrats and not politicians as our governors for sometime now. Other states should emulate that and place square pegs in square holes |

udordike:Is it only Anambra that makes up the SE? What about Enugu, Abia, Ebonyi and Imo? How well have all these governors and legislators been able to transform their states? If they can't do any tangible thing with the supposed little they get, they will do nothing if there is a secession. Hope you get my point? |
| Re: Gej's Defeat: A Huge Blessing In Disguise To The SS/SE by Nobody: 11:02am On May 13, 2015 |
obi4eze:I accept the fact naija is the best for us and everybody. But what do we do when naija is working against us? I disagree with you when you said that we are our problem even when I understand why you said that. People always work against a collective agenda but that shouldn't deter us. Using the last election as a case study, some prominent sw figures worked against the sw agenda. Its part of the beauty of democracy. We shouldn't wait until when we have a common front because we won't but we all suffer the same plight because we bear the same name "igbos" |

obi4eze:Those states still believe in the Nigerian career politicians and it quite heart rending. Nigerian politicians don't think well for their people, they can even kill them just to get the power. Its time we start looking at our technocrats, people that have excelled in their endeavours and not even the civil servants. People that have images and careers to protects and not retired thugs and hoodlums. People that know what it means and takes to do the right things, at the right time and at all times. Not people that want to sit on the throne either by the hool or by the crook. |

barcanista:I am not interested in Biafra but we as Niger deltans should focus on developing the region ourselves,we shouldn't cry fr resource control now but use the little we have to develop......with time that resource control will be solved,I have investors that will invest in nigeria,I thought of bringing them to Lagos but after what that oba did and the aftermath of the election,I concluded and said any company I bring here must be in my region and abj,I found out that we are not one at all in this country, every region should develop itself and should stop crying foul all the time and I have noticed that after a region rubs a mud on your face and succeed in their agenda, they will turnaround and say we are are brothers. we as Niger deltans have to put more pressure on our state govs concerning policies on investment and other significant areas,we will get there in the near future but we have to contribute our quota instead of waiting for govt to do everything for us,when we begin to develop fast as a region then we can bring up the resource control issue and I bet it will be resolved because when you have something and you don't make use of it well you cannot come out again to say you want full control when you know the progress in your house is still in slow motion development. |

barcanista:the highlighted shows how enlightened you've become. the 5 diet model of the LNF is the way to go,with the presidium taking care of just defense, currency and foreign affairs. the 187 LGs that make up the LNF would be grouped into these 5 Diets/Parliaments and everybody would develop at his or her own pace with the resources YHWH has bestowed on him.

You guys are just sour loosers. Hold your leaders accountable. Period. Nobody can talk for the whole of Niger delta. The whole of south south do not speak one language. It is stupid to keep lumping us together. I hate it. I am not igbo and igbo is not my cousin. Itshekiris are different, edos are different, urhobos are different. Stop this rubbish. Ijaw is not the whole of south south. If ijaw say they are igbo. That is their business but an ijaw man can never speak for itshekiri or uhrobo. |

This is what im talking about. Let each nationality control its own governance, economy, laws and standards like the emirates while uniting under one umbrella with a common currency, defense, and declaration of rights |

Jonathan lost a very complicated election on our behalf. But the people of the SS won a sense of liberation and political maturity they never had. Yes, in the long run Jonathan's/SS lose would be the best thing to happen in our region. How people grew up overnight, is beyond explanation. Suddenly they know where they stand in this country. Only a man like Jonathan would have made this possible. The future has never been better, because of the moral clarity today. The demons of the civil war finally died. My only sadness is, It took an election in 2015 to bridge a gap with the SE, that never was. |
