Not true, you can work on or off campus immediately as long as its stated in your study permit and you have done the necessary reg for it. There's a specified number of hours you can work in a week as a student.
and money earn by working on or off campus....can help for accommodation, books n other expenses? not tuition?

it depend on your school, i calculate it with tuition fee, house rent/ hostel fee, and buying of text book, your school fee will not reduce in second year, since you can apply for parmanent residence, after six month you get to canada, and can be doing off campus/ on campus after u pass in meet up with 2:00 gp.......

oga, where did you get this info from abeg? Make I know if I go apply by next week as I don stay pass 6 months

Yes it was, so I think you should ask your school for their time frame too.

I bring you honest opinion sir. I would advise that you churn out a well crafted letter of intent detailing your career goal (Long and short term), academic goal, why the program etc (you should also use this LOI to exhibit your writing skill and strong command of English) and all those good stuff. You will need to design an extremely professional resume, if you do not have enough experience you can just show your NYSC experience coupled with some Volunteer experience. Also, if you are really passionate about the program I also suggest you write GRE and try very hard to spank it (if you do spank it you can include in the letter that ur undergrad was low but it was not a true test of ur intelligence). I advised about the GRE cos that what I did. I wrote GMAT, scored over 700 (in my LOI I said to the admin officer "IN YOUR FACE"wink. Upon admission I was told by the officer that I got in cos I scored pretty high in GMAT.

You gonna be just fine :-).

Thanks a lot, will do just so
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by mPop(f): 12:34pm On May 16, 2015
i mean is that the official refund time frame given by lambton or it just usually took 8weeks?

Hi hi all. Ok. I have decided to change my program to something related to banking/accounting. I have called the school and they have told me what to do to change program. They said it will take 2 to 3 weeks to do so. But how do I tackle travel history, home tie and asset issues. This time around I will be using paper route. Pls advise.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by Onyeoma3: 1:26pm On May 16, 2015
Quick one about the increasing CAD rate against NGN...

This is basically an after effect of the fall in oil price which led to the collapse of most currencies in the works against the USD.

This led to the CBN pegging USD to NGN at the rate of 195 NGN - 1 CAD (meaning the Naria against dollar rate can't go below that in our economy).

CAD was not excluded as it crashed to as low as 1 CAD - 0.78 USD all the way from 0.88 USD.

The falling of the CAD at the same time with NGN made the effect not to be noticeable on the CAD-NGN exchange rate.

Most recently, CAD is recovering against the USD and presently at 1CAD - 0.83USD while NGN is still struggling to maintain their rate against USD with no intention to unpeg the rate to a lower value. Hence, the increase in exchange rate between CAD & NGN.

If CAD stabilizes up to 1CAD to 0.88 USD, NGN against CAD might go as high as 190-195 NGN - 1 CAD.

I'll advise this intending to pay their tuition fees to do that as soon as possible....

Nice weekend to you all.

well, you have refused to let out on the number of years youve bn working and the amount of study gap you have wherever if any.
but i feel its safer to go with an undergraduate course than to go along wth ones history of employment.
you can always relate what you did at the bank to estate management depending on the department you claim to have worked.

from where are you coming from?
just try to get to oshodi (that should be popular)
then get a bus to obalendeafter which a keke napep would take you to alagbon.
ask for where the napep guys going to alagbon are at obalende when you get there.

Take N50 Keke Napep from Obalende going to Alagbon/Passport office (please don't come down at passport office) tell the Keke Rider that you want to come down at the Police station. He will pass thru the station and drop you right in front.

The Submission centre is VFS Lekki. Take Napep from Alagbon back to Obalende. From Obalende take a bus going to Lekki and come down at Ikate (3rd round about). Cross over to the other side of the road and enter the street right in front of you. The Application centre is on your left about 3 or 4 buildings away, (You can ask someone at this point)

Visa fee is CAD235 (CAD150 application and CAD85 biometrics)

Good luck!

Hello all, with the new CIC regulations, is it possible and legal for an international student to work in Canada when on leave of absence from school? What are the possible options available for one who can not raise tuition for second semester after taken first semester and would love to raise the cash in Canada?

I have worked for 2 yrs in real estate and over 2 yrs in banking. Never been idle after school. I graduated in 2010. So that's it. Can't go for undergraduate course. I have already done BSc so no need.

I think you can use other documents like survey plan, evaluation etc to show for the lands if you can't get CofO or deed of agreement.
Someone mentioned other documents that can be used, can't remember the page.
