Its hard to know the person who came last. Because of the huge number of contestants they were placed in groups like a sort of world cup format. Voting for the contestants was done in each group and a specified number with the highest number of votes in each group progressed to d next stage which was also in group format. It went on like that till the final.
It was very contentious though.
