Their agitation is ok, its right thinking. I was wondering which way Nigeria when I first heard that it was to be sited in Lagos, meanwhile the oil and gas production is in SS. was wondering why a service centre will be located far away from operational base, the initial move to do it in Lagos was a politically motivated one in the first place.......which has to be changed......change should be all encompassing including using good reasoning in siting industries.......this is the best decision ever
It is a private investment you cannot dictate to a businessman where he will locate his business. It is not Government's money so the ideal thing GEJ should have done is encourage SS billionaires to build one in the Niger delta.

...what an ignoramus!! Is Ondo a Niger Delta state? Is Chad basin a Niger Delta state?

Oil exploration in Chad had ceased due to risks of terrorism. If the cost/benefit scale of doing business in the Delta flattens out the explorers will abandon the rigs and take business elsewhere. They will then sanction your oil production in the market. How will you find the resource to grow your economy in the Delta? You will regress and stagnate.

Jonathan was clueless before March 28th, and he is still clueless after.
Oh Ondo is not Niger delta just like you ppl say Imo and Abia is not in Niger delta....and you even called the guy ignoramus, I dont know politics has blinded ppl they dont even know the diff to SS , SE and SW, ppl think Nigert delta is just SS...pls give the names of the 9 Niger delta states in Nigeria

this poster while calling someone an ignoramus is implying that Ondo is not in d Niger Delta and he even got 3 likes....... And they call Jonathan clueless
So if Nigeria should break up the Yoruba in Ondo would choosen ND instead of S.W o ma se o!

And come to think of it, who tell you there is no oil reserves in other part of Nigeria aside ND.

When the time come for closure, oju yin ma clear..... You are calling for war. War you want na war you go get.... cool

ND or SS has only 6states and they are

Rivers
Cross Rivers
Akwa Ibom
Edo
Delta
Bayelsa.

Ondo is and CAN NEVER be SS or ND or Upper Zambezi.

After Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Delta, it is the next highest oil producing state. It's production surpasses the total output of a particular region.

These fools dont care about their people, their environment or neighbor. They only care about their pockets and nothing more. Why have they suddenly woken up? Where was their voice all these years during Jonah-daft mis-governance? Abegi, the newly improved and well armed JTF should be unleashed on them biko.
Stop using the word "BIKO" you this hateful yoruba man so that ppl will not think you are IBO

You are just a big fool, you are just a bigot who hates every other tribe apart from yours, so you prefer tankers travelling and endangering lives on the road and putting pressure on our roads or long kilometre pipelines running from the Niger Delta to various states in Nigeria which can easily be vandalized daily than building refineries in each region to facilitate easy transportion to the consumers? Check your brain well bigot.
you no well i swear.....may u suck on ur mother wit a straw......if a tank farm is there does it mean the refined product cant be transported by pipeline to the so called north....when you think another person is a bigot.....look well you may as well be a bigger biggot.....i guess the same law in the PIB which states dat the host is now the whole of nigeria make a lot of sense to you angry angry angry angry

Well said bro!

The Yoruba man that chosen to invest his hard earned money and his business partners, may just as well step down and take their investment somewhere else, and let see what the fools in ND will do about that. cool

Everything the company is fabricating isn't coming FROM the ND, rather they are coming TO the ND. The company isn't even created only for projects in the ND.....it's meant to serve the african market as the continent lacks ready availability of such a project.

Also, it's nobody's fault that Asari sees Benin republic as a better destination for the money he gets paid from the ND. If a son of the soil who claims to fight for the region doesn't think his businesses are safe in the region, why blame the non indigene of the ND who refuses to bring his investment down there?

The project is for profit, not for charity or decoration. Tell Asari, Tompolo, Ateke, Boyloaf etc to show the way by starting the investment boom with the money they're making daily from the region. If they don't love their region enough, who should?
In any case will service most companies in ND, its right thinking for it to be situated there..

There is nothing like SS or ND its SS and ND, what you mentioned are SS states, ND states are the SS states plus IMO, ABIA and ONDO, get that into your head.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niger_Delta
The Niger Delta, and the "South South Zone", which includes Akwa Ibom State, Bayelsa State, Cross River State, Delta State, Edo State and Rivers State are two different entities. While the Niger Delta is the oil-producing region the Nigerian, South South is a geo-political zone.

You are very funny. You need to change your monicker to Ludo board.

So if Oil if Oil exploration starts in Lagos and Ogun or Oil is discovered in Niger and Bornu, they automatically become Niger Delta states?

What an analogy?

You are making me laugh at this.

I repeat, count Ondo State out of your ND or SS, if you like you can even include Southern Cameroon part of Bamenda.

There is no relationship between Oduduwa and Amanyanbo. The only relationship we have with ND is with our cousins Binis and Itshekiris.

Look up the definition of a DELTA. That is before adding Niger before it.
Then Mr geographer should go on his map.
No need 4 name calling. Just say what u need 2 say. If u have a different definition or explanation from what I said, I will b glad 2 hear from u. No one has a monopoly of knowledge. We learn from each other. D definition of a delta is what I gave u in my previous post, that's y I said ondo even edo doesn't fall into d region geographically.

THANK GOD EVERY REGION NOW OWNS THE NIGER DELTA OIL AND MAY GOD BLESS THE NORTHERN AND SOUTH WEST REPS WHO PASSED THAT BILL. NIGER DELTANS HAVE BEEN OVER PAMPERED IN THE NIGERIAN STATE AND ITS HIGH TIME WE PUT A CHECK ON THEM. EVERY RESOURCES IN THE NIGERIAN TERRITORY BELONGS TO ALL NIGERIANS. WE CAN NOT CONTINUE TO ALLOW THEM CLAIM OWNERSHIP OF OUR OIL WHILE THEIR REGION WAS DEVELOPED BY MONEY FROM COCOA AND GROUNDNUT BEFORE OIL WAS DISCOVERED.

THIS IS THE CHANGE WE CLAMOURED FOR AND I'M GLAD CHANGE IS HERE. THE SOUTH EAST ARE VERY BITTER ABOUT THE BILL BECAUSE THEY ARE STYLISHLY LURING THE NIGER DELTA INTO THEIR BIAFRAN DREAM WHICH IS FUTILE FROM INCEPTION. I REALLY THANK THE NORTH FOR MAKING THIS GREAT MOVE. THE NORTH SHALL ALWAYS BE THE OWNER OF NIGERIA COS THEY HAVE THE HIGHEST POPULATION AND LAND MASS. WE SOUTHWESTERNERS ARE SOLIDLY BEHIND THE NORTH cool

Sometimes i wonder how the Ijaws reason. You cannot make your area unfriendly to investors and complain when people refuse to invest in your area..

Ijaw neighbourhoods are so rough to walk freely by day and no go areas by night..They hardly outgrow cultism and thuggery. No sane person will risk his life and resources investing there..They have to change their ways.

Gej had 6yrs and he did nothing for Ijaws and other ethnicities in NDelta..hes gone now, the best thing to do is to liase with SSouth leaders in the new govt to ensure some ills are corrected. A diplomatic approach will appeal to govt and then to local and foreign investors
A thousand likes for this! That's just it, it is the very same mentality that got them to this point in the first place, wonder how they still think it's the best resort to help their situation... they stand to lose more in a crisis than in a peaceful approach. You don't fight the government, not with all the machinery at it's disposal. But of course, they are too arrogant and bent on blaming "one Nigeria" for their woes to realise that it's their immediate leaders cheating them.

You're right it is tight thinking to put it there but why did it take gej 5 years to realise he could encourage an investment project in his home state?

Also do you know how many Julius Berger workers were kidnapped before they abandoned the east west road? These are issues that a right thinking investor puts into consideration before committing millions of dollars to a project
