I never meant that they are bad teams. But if those 5 players taken away are regular in the team, then I think the team will be destabilized a little. Moreover playing a better team which I would enable us assess out team better. Don't you think so?

Baseless!!...FE didnt play wit some of dia regulars too

Kanu Advises Keshi To Use U20 Players

Former Super Eagles captain Nwankwo Kanu has called for the immediate integration of members of the current Flying Eagles team to the Super Eagles.

Speaking to SL10.ng, ‘Papilo’, as he’s fondly called, argued against the notion that the players are too young to play for the Super Eagles, and says the players are good enough irrespective of their young ages.

“If you see a player who is 16 years and you know he’s good, he’s good,” Kanu tells SL10.ng.

“Look at Wayne Rooney for example, at what age did he start playing for Manchester United? When I joined the National Team I was also very young, so the age doesn’t matter, but what the person can do,” he further says.

The former African player of the year goes on to counsel Stephen Keshi to give the players the needed exposure in the Super Eagles.

“The coach should use this opportunity to expose these young lads because the more they play with the experienced players, the faster they grow and improve.

“We don’t have to wait until they are 30 or 25 before they’re called to the Super Eagles because if they’re good, they’re good. You have to try them and if they are not good at least you’ve given them the opportunity,” he concludes.

They should At least be taken to Chan. They should form the team to CHAN the majority that are still home base as they collectively defeated the best of the league in super six.
Papilo well said.

Why is MG playing guys that have already been dropped? I was thinking this is a time to gel guys that are already on the train to New Zealand. I can see Muazam and Saleh on the scoresheet.

How will they play when they are with the German U20 preparing for the World Cup? You're missing his point. If they have as many as 5 players picked from the team, then the team is not that bad. It simply means that our team is better and more compact.

My question never dared insinuate that my beloved flying eagles are not a top team so lets get that very clear young man.
The fact remains if you lose 5-2 and 5-0 u can not be that good. Even our home teams didn't lose that bad only the dolphins lost 4-1 and that was because they lost their talisman Emem Eduok a single player so that should show you that maybe those 5 are all those clubs have.

Congrats to the Flying Eagles and their coaching crew again. I hope they not only have a fine outing but lift the cup. Godwin Saviour, I see you homie. I hope The CityZens (Man City) can snap him.

Usman and Alhassan scored. Nice farewell goals. Awoniyi might have been rested.

One or two more friendlies with national teams and they should be set.

Old man, that's because you assume that the Flying Eagles are not such a good team to demolish teams 5-2, 5-1, 4-1. And then I laugh! What's the scoreline between the U17 and Mexico in UAE 2013 in the group stage? What's the scoreine against Iraq in the same competition? What about Iran? What about Sweden in the KnockOut stage? What about Mexico in the final?

Forget, this team will make teams go down low in New Zealand.

I disagree, the german team was selected from the same group of players out of numerous teams, note that this is the b team of freiburg not the under 19.

Obuh boys played nurnberg two years ago and could only manage a 1 1 draw. Many teams in the tournament are not better than those we played.

Our league players have no business losing to under 20 at all. It shows to me that the standard is low.

It's alright. I understand. With old age comes knowledge. Also, with old age comes forgetfulness. So read your comments again. Then read my responses. You said that for those teams to have been beaten 5-2 and 5-0, it means they are not good enough, hence my response by saying this is not the first time these golden boys are doing it.

Scoring high is their forte. Demolishing and dismantling defences is their strength.

Next time, dont underestimate what these boys can do regardless of the opposition.

Former Nigeria U20 coach John Obuh has said expectations for the Flying Eagles to have a good outing at the 2015 Fifa U20 World Cup in New Zealand are very high judging by the calibre of talent in the side and their antecedents.

Manu Garba’s boys remain unbeaten since the team transitioned from being U17 champions and will face Brazil, Hungary, and North Korea in Group E of the championship billed to commence on May 30.

Obuh, who led Nigeria U20 to Colombia 2011 and Turkey 2013 Fifa U20 World Cups, told Goal that the Flying Eagles have quality players and should go for gold.

“I’m sure they know the magnitude of the tournament and judging from what they have been doing at the U17 level down to the African Youth Championship, they are expected to do well,” Obuh told Goal.

“They have players that have been together for a while and can win, so Nigerians are expecting them to come out flying when the championship begins.”

He also claimed that the wild card given to Europe-based trio of Kelechi Iheanacho, Isaac Success and Moses Simon in the 21-man final squad will not have a negative impact on the team.

“I don’t see that affecting the team because they are doing well for their respective teams. Remember they were part of the team to the U17 World Cup and aside from this, their coaches have a strong faith in them,” he continued.

“The most important thing is that they join the team on time, blend and complement their other colleagues’ efforts. With this, there won’t be any problem,” he concluded.

Nigeria will face Brazil in their opening game on June 1 at the Stadium Taranaki in New Plymouth.

U lie show me where i said MY FLYING EAGLES ARE NOT SO GOOD,
So are u saying this team can beat any team in the world 5-0? I simply said id prefer better friendly matches for a better gauge of where we are at like say Argentina, Germany or even some senior African teams. These are just practice matches hommi so don't trip.

My suggestion is IF and ONLY IF MANU experiment does not work out should we sit and re-strategies and stop wasting our youths talent that would voluntry learn to be better just like many of you are in school learning to be professionals.

Our issue is not about getting a quality coach. The issue is we believe every oyinbo man is technically better than the local coaches. Did you see the Mexican coach get so clueless when we whipped them 2-0 at the U17 final against Manu Garba's boys?

Moreso, asides Bonfrere Jo and Westerhof, how many white coaches were successful here? As much as I loathe Keshi after loving him so much, you can't take his acheivements from him. Only Westerhof was able to match that
