coogar:We arent fighting. This is a time we should at least be happy for what is coming next season. Personally I am in a double happy mood in my private life over something, not just Man United. So small small my guy. However, the stats from opta you used in promoting Young arent too favourable to him this time. This is why I always said stats can be misleading. It's always better to look at who is the better footballer. Goals Ashley Young every 1004.5 mins Di Maria every 540.7 mins Assists Young every 401.8 mins Di Maria 162.2 mins. My record shows me Di Maria did not Assist from either Corner or Free Kick but Young Assisted from Free kick. Chances created. Young created a chance every 60.1 in Di Maria created a chance every 31.2 mins. Di Maria came first in our team in Chances created and Assist. Even in dribble, Di Maria is the best in our team. He is 14.9 while Yound dribbles every 27.9. |

coogar:If you admit you made a mistake, nobody will kill you! This was your original post - coogar:So la liga and UCL are the same league? UCL has 3 solid teams and 17 rubbish teams? ![]() ![]() If you were referring to la liga + other competitions, you would have been sensible enough not to say in that league! cesc was an assist king before he left for spain. cesc was blooded in england, one of the reasons he became an outcast in barca. you have an uncanny ability of bringing up daft analogies. Is this not an indictment on what you said earlier? how will a whole premier league assist king go to la liga where it's easy to generate assist and not be able to dominate the assist chart like how he has done in EPL? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by IKILL: 1:38pm On May 20, 2015 |
coogar:You put the upid in stu.pid... united went after butter and other idiots like him, so? if all Ronaldo did was grace the PFA team twice and win young player of the year Madrid wouldn't come for him, you are a laboratory rat, why would he be sought after at the age of 30? Ronaldo would be sought after at the age of 33, ribery, robben would be sought after at the age of 32, 33 This is Di maria's first season in england, yet he managed to produce 11 assists, that's how you know somebody is good, stop being a dunce and speak the trruth |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 1:39pm On May 20, 2015 |
homesteady:you are a ruminant animal. if i meant his number of assists in the league games only then i woulda typed 16 league assists. if i said 16 assists in their league, then i am talking about all their competitions. your comprehension skills is akin to that of a goat! So la liga and UCL are the same league?you are a fool! 20+ assists in their league means league + other domestic competitions in la liga. i always say 10 league assists or 30 league assists when i am talking about league games only. Is this not an indictment on what you said earlier? how will a whole premier league assist king go to la liga where it's easy to generate assist and not be able to dominate the assist chart like how he has done in EPL?your stupidity caused the earthquake in nepal cesc didn't have problems with creativity in la liga. his problem was that he took many risks - a factor that is not in the DNA of barcelona. he simply didn't fit cos he's more suited to the long balls he had learnt in england when he was developing as a footballer. |

elampiro:did di maria ever play as a wingback? why are these stats relevant at all if di maria never played as a defender? did young play in the striking position like di maria in some games? why are your stats relevant if that wasn't the case? please, engage your common sense when arguing with me. everything i predicted would happen last october has happened. accept you lost on this one! there's a reason young is keeping di maria out of the team. even the dullard rooney voted young as united's player of the season. di maria was LVG's buy.....he had no reason at all to keep di maria on the bench if he is performing. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 1:51pm On May 20, 2015 |
IKILL:do you know how much united paid to get young? do you know how much the prudent sir alex ferguson gave ashley young per week as far back as 2011? yet you compare him to büttner? the curse placed on you by your dad's concubines are still manifesting in your life. This is Di maria's first season in england, yet he managed to produce 11 assists, that's how you know somebody is good, stop being a dunce and speak the trruththis isn't about first season! his ability doesn't match the expectations of the fans & the money we paid to get him. i have slaughtered rooney here several times for the same offence, why should di maria be spared? a £60m asset is being kept out of the team by united's 2nd best winger many deemed not good enough. can't you fücking see the big picture? if nani was still around nko? di maria would have certainly packed his bags by january. |

coogar:He felt unappreciated and left for where he'll be appreciated, if di Maria was still in Madrid, they'll be in UCL final and would be winning LA liga now. Ancelotti made a wrong choice and he's surely regretting that. Bale is the new scape goat now, come next season , you will speak a different thing, I know that. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 2:02pm On May 20, 2015 |
coogar:1. How many matches or minutes did Young play as wing back? Young time as a traditional winger is almost the same as the time Di Maria had there. Young mostly played in the 4-1-4-1. It was Di Maria who was the victim of Gaal using a back 3 mostly during the diamond. 2. Young was the one who played with Carrick in the two times Carrick came out from injury. Di Maria's fitness did not coincide with when Carrick was fit late last year and when we won 6/6 this year. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by IKILL: 2:02pm On May 20, 2015 |
coogar:He's being kept out because of young's current form not because young is better than di maria, football is all about form... if di maria was the inform one, young would be on the bench even with his current form and you know that coogar Young has been spectacular this season no doubt but he isn't better than di maria |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 2:03pm On May 20, 2015 |
Numerouuuno:if di maria was still in madrid, they would be below athletico madrid right now. suarez tipped the scale for barca & that made them the most formidable attacking unit on the planet. nothing to do with ancelotti or what not. you cannot stop this current barcelona - nothing to do with the presence or absence of di maria. he's too inconsistent - we all said so last year but some of you were just too excited to sign him. IKILL:current form? he's 30 for feck sake. what's the meaning of current form? you have to possess the ability in the first place to have any sort of form. this is what you guys are forgetting. young is a brilliant winger, this is his ability.......injury was his limiting factor at united. when young had been fit for us, he has been super-productive. elampiro:di maria played mostly in the centre. then there were other games where he started as a striker. every time he played on the wing, he failed to defend & he didn't offer much in the attack. 2. Young was the one who played with Carrick in the two times Carrick came out from injury. Di Maria's fitness did not coincide with when Carrick was fit late last year and when we won 6/6 this year.what has carrick gotta do with this? why is ashley young keeping a £60m out of the starting XI justifyably? are you saying LVG is showing favouritism towards young & young doesn't deserve to start. this season, i saw young completely eviscerate bellerin, zabaleta, emre can & sterling and kyle walker. ivanovic got lucky cos mourinho parked the bus completely. abeg, accept the truth cos it would set you free. ![]() |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 2:06pm On May 20, 2015 |
People should not get me wrong. I am personally impressed with Young. I even call him our new Ronaldo when yabbing my Chelsea and Arsenal friends. But we should remember stats are facts. Di Maria is the most productive player in Manchester United today. ![]() I don exit. No more long arguments. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 2:22pm On May 20, 2015 |
elampiro:it's so unfortunate then that the most productive player in united is being kept out o the first team by an unproductive player. comparing a player that never had any defensive duty to do to young who had the first half of the season as a defender is a daft comparison! ![]() homesteady:finally, the penny seems to have dropped for you. well done! See Excusecesc is too direct! barca don't operate that way. they play intricate passes - mostly short passes but cesc cannot be patient enough with those. he risks his pass & boom.........barca would lose possession. barca's DNA is low-risk, very compact so that when they lose the ball, it's easily recovered cos the ball hasn't travelled 70 yards like cesc wants it to. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 2:23pm On May 20, 2015 |
coogar:Playing in the centre in a diamond setting protected weakly by a back three is more difficult than playing in the wing in front of a left full back in four man defence. coogar:All I know is that in terms of productivity you are talking about. Every thing Young did, Di Maria accomplished in less than half the time in took Young to do it. So no matter the plus or minus in positions played, Di Maria beats Young in productivity hands down. Young has my praise, however he has been in the league far long enough compared to Di Maria. |

coogar:It will be silly of me to continue arguing what you won't agree on! I don't have that do or die mentality for trivial thing like you! cesc is too direct!A la masia graduate will remain good at keeping possession and giving short and intricate passes! even if he doesn't kick a ball for 10 years! Piqué a defender also went to Manchester United and was developing there before he came back to Barça, Yet I don't think there is any defender as good as he is in passing the ball! In other words, your explanation is bullshit! |

elampiro:more difficult? are we comparing their defensive stats or attacking stats? All I know is that in terms of productivity you are talking about. Every thing Young did, Di Maria accomplished in less than half the time in took Young to do it. So no matter the plus or minus in positions played, Di Maria beats Young in productivity hands down.against which calibre of teams did di maria shine? QPR, leicester & other relegation bound teams. young did it against city, arsenal, spurs, liverpool, etc. had we relied on di maria in those difficult set of fixtures, we would be 8th on the table by now. Young has my praise, however he has been in the league far long enough compared to Di Maria.so it's now about longevity in the league, no longer their ability. so why did you argue last summer that di maria would be an instant hit if signed? did you not factor young's years of experience in the premier league when your mouth was oozing CO like a 2nd-hand okada? ![]() elampiro:of course.....stats are facts! however, intelligent people won't just compare the stats of a defender to that of a striker because stats are facts. the players you are trying to compare must have the same role all through to begin with. this season..... young >>>>>>>>>> di maria. ![]() |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by IKILL: 2:41pm On May 20, 2015 |
Coogar, I'm not arguing with you about young's productivity, he's productive no doubt, he proved it this season, but saying he's more productive than di maria is what I find ridiculous... this is someone that made europe's top 11, c'mon man |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 2:49pm On May 20, 2015 |
IKILL:he made it playing in a team that had ronaldo, benzema & gareth bale. the moment you take these players away from ronaldo, they become worthless. ozil? di maria? higuain? canales? sahin? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SailorXY: 2:51pm On May 20, 2015 |
di Maria was also there against Chelshit, Arsenal, Liverpool & City during the first rounds. his contributions are well documented. the good thing is that di Maria is not leaving the team this summer, so there's still time to reach definite conclusions on the 'productivity' shiit |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 2:57pm On May 20, 2015 |
homesteady:you are a billy goat! your folly was exposed and that was why you backed off. ![]() A la masia graduate will remain good at keeping possession and giving short and intricate passes! even if he doesn't kick a ball for 10 years!cesc is too impatient! he loves to force passes that are not on. he's too direct. iniesta, xavi, busquets don't mind taking the ball back to the goalie 12 times if there's no passing outlet in the attack. they go back and build the move again. uncle cesc would just balloon the ball forward & hope it gets to a striker - he plays risky football. Piqué a defender also went to Manchester United and was developing there before he came back to Barça, Yet I don't think there is any defender as good as he is in passing the ball!In other words, your explanation is bullshit!you should facepalm! when has pique ever played in the midfield or relied upon to build attacks. pique's passing outlet is to the fullbacks & mostly busquets. busquets start the attack - he's the hub that connects everyone on the pitch. you better go upgrade your TV & stop embarrassing yourself. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by IKILL: 3:01pm On May 20, 2015 |
coogar:No, it was due to his individual brilliance, Ronaldo was anonymous in last year's CL final but di maria was brilliant Higuain did well in his first season at napoli, making europe's top 11 is down to individual brilliance not the influence of who you play with |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 3:06pm On May 20, 2015 |
coogar:In this setting ...................DDG RB..............CB.............LB ..................DM .........MF.............MF(dI Maria) ..................AM .........FW............FW This setting Di Maria played is no much different from the Wing Back Young played in. Di Maria also defended in the above setting while playing as a central midfielder and as a winger. He had more ground to cover as compared to a wing back running just along the line with even the LB covering many lapses. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 3:08pm On May 20, 2015 |
SailorXY:Exactly. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by coogar: 3:12pm On May 20, 2015 |
elampiro:di maria didn't cover nada! we got thrashed by leicester of all teams in one of those games. di maria just stank up the whole place and it was rooney doing the covering job. di maria is a monumental defensive liability. this was young on sunday after rojo took a walkabout. arsenal broke with pace and we were almost getting overrun in the first half. a certain winger ran like a mad man to track back to stop the attack. https://giant.gfycat.com/SpectacularWastefulArrowcrab.gif elampiro, this is why young is keeping your £60m liability out of the first team. he's massive upfront & a monstrous in the defence. IKILL:people keep referring to one game. one game doesn't make the season. without ronaldo in the semis, di maria wouldn't even be in the final. the final was just one game against a known rival club. solskjaer & sheringham were bench players when they won UCL for united in 99. no one would put the duo above yorke & cole that season. di maria had one good game - simple! Higuain did well in his first season at napoli, making europe's top 11 is down to individual brilliance not the influence of who you play withdavid luiz & toni kroos also made that team o. is david luiz even better than john terry or pique? never ever buy the popularity contest of such awards. david luiz is the worst defender in the top 5 leagues in europe. |

parrotibaba:the truth is bitter. i expected this exact reaction from united fans. many of them condemned young last summer when i predicted young & fellaini would be our best performers this season. it's a bitter pill to swallow for them. ![]() di maria is the biggest disappointment this season. that's why i am starting with him. rooney is next on my hit list. don't miss that episode, it promises to be full of rockets & submachine rifles. |

coogar:Yawns! Tired of this argument! Ok, since you have found excuse for Fabregas which is quite silly, let me find one for Di Maria - Man U new possession obsession is hurting his game, he thrives in quick counter formation! should facepalm!I should be telling you this, not the other way round! I said even Piqué that went to Premier league still has good passing range talk less of a la masia trained midfielder! Is Busquet a defender? so why are you comparing? My post said I don't think any defender is as good as Piqué with the ball! You should stop acting like you know everything, you should also upgrade yourself! This new barcelona team have moved on from where only Busquet starts the attack, anybody starts it now! I'm sure Piqué has given more long passes to the strikers this season than Fabregas ever gave in a season! |

homesteady:buhahahaha do you know how many counterattacks di maria has screwed up because of his lack of final ball? lolololol. against westbrom, it was like watching wole soyinka trying to compete in the premier league. he didn't complete a single pass when he came on. I should be telling you this, not the other way round! I said even Piqué that went to Premier league still has good passing range talk less of a la masia trained midfielder! Is Busquet a defender? so why are you comparing?being good on the ball is different from being able to pass without taking risks. besides, bringing pique up in this matter has taken you back to your usual daft analogy. cesc spent about 8 years in the premier league in his formative years. he is now a hybrid. in england, it's all about quick & direct attacking football. in barca, the build-up is slow. cesc couldn't fit in. You should stop acting like you know everything, you should also upgrade yourself! This new barcelona team have moved on from where only Busquet starts the attack, anybody starts it now! I'm sure Piqué has given more long passes to the strikers this season than Fabregas ever gave in a season!football is my religion. i know everything about the game. this is why my prophecies always come to pass. busquets is the most important player in barcelona. he's the equivalent of what carrick is to man utd. if you can stop yaya toure & mascherano from taking your position, you are a demi-god! i watch live barca games more than man utd sef. all their games are live on TV. just because i dont support them openly like you do doesn't mean i don't know more about them than you can ever muster. every domestic animal in europe knows why cesc had to leave barca......except you! |
