Fuel subsidy. With recent happenings it is safe to declare that this is a failed nation and its division is in order.

To your tents oh Nigeria

When a country is facing problems like "recent happenings" you divide it and that will solve the problems and the people will be happy. Good reasoning.

My Brother don't say what u don't know.

Let me start by saying that I have no confidence in any Nigerian political office holder, and that is why I don't own a voters card and I have never voted.

That been said, I had a very rare opportunity of talking one on one with a major player in this country and it was an eye opener, Nigerians were told that oil marketers are holding the country to a ransom and nobody believed, weeks later we are on a long queue trying to buy fuel, Buhari has said he doesn't know what fuel subsidy is, he his about to find out.

The Jonathan administration has been labeled very corrupt and wastage in excess, has anyone ever wondered where is the money going? A huge junk is spent on oil subsidy to prevent long queues has we have it now, when he tried to remove subsidy because of the amount of money put into it, Nigerians cried foul. A lot of things are falling apart and the government had to keep pumping in money to hold things together.

Now that the man is leaving and is taking his hands off things, Nigerians can now see how everything has come crumbling, yes he his still the president till 29th, but by that time how much more Billion dollars would have been used to maintain marketers? Then he would have been accused of last minute looting.

Nigeria is a very complex society, I am patiently waiting for what the next administration has to offer.

My friend quit this stupid defence. if Nigeria was a private establishment and GEJ is the CEO answering to the shareholders, would he have run this country like this? Wouldnt he be ruthless on this guys to keep his job? how many of those subsidy thieves are in jail? The problem is not just subsidy, it is corruption and ubtil the govt stands up and forcefully deal decisively with the corruption in the oil sector, we wont make any head way.But unfortunately, the govt is part of the scam. Even if you remove subsidy, what makes you think that this guys can not form a cartel, import fuel and still fix ridiculous prices on nigerians. Is diesel not deregulated? is govt paying subsidy for diesel? why is it still scare and expensive to the extent of shutting down the nations economy? You guys should know the head will always take the blame when things go wrong. that is leadership and not blaming someone else. If any member of your team is messing you up, sacrifice him else you will be sacrificed.

It is so much easier to sit and criticize, before Jonathan became president he must have criticized previous government. APC is currently doing same, lets wait and see what they will do differently.

What did Jonathan do to corrupt oil marketers? Capital oil was shut down in 2012, a group of people are so fierce that they can bring this country to her kneels, people even the president needs to appease.

The Government is currently spending an estimated N1.4 Billion daily to subsidize petroleum product, where is that money going to come from?

I dont give a damn about APC cos naija politicians are crap. You say we should applaud this administration cos they problem is not solvable. On a second thought, i blame we nigerians cos greed is in our DNA, that is why nothing works here.

what is this one saying? Nigerians will just open their mouth and start vomiting nonsense without thinking. Every problems is directed to the fed.gov even if there is no food in ur home cos of ur lazy it is still fed.gov that caused it. If ur kids did not sweep the compound, d fed.gov did not train them well for u. When will Nigerians realise that what we want start with us and our family and d first and smallest unit in the country.

U claimed all politicians are the same but u try defend Jonathan. You need ask ursef some quest and probably u can ans ursef. When was subsidy and which govt created it?
Is marketers are powerful than govt of nigeria?...who are those marketers? let's me give u one insight abt it. The capital oil and gas chairman was beneficial of subsidy and he was the Top officer of TAN which champion the campaign of Mr Jonathan. House to house campaign of 2011 most of them are so call marketer we ar talking abt. Pls. What should be benefits right now is how our country can be better under buhari. I'm nt ready to remain lik dis. We need God to help us and we have already have our new leader now. My prayer as Nigeria is to lead us well and better our economy..ure defend govt that worse than military govt. Jona go home

Mr rare opportunist, what happened to the revival of the 3 refineries that Jonah promised us then? oh they are gone beyond repair. Please don't justify what is not. They can dribble you with their words on one on one because you could not ask relevant questions when there is the need.

Do your research and know the beneficiaries of these funds then revert back.

Thanks.
