LMFAO. Just shows your dumbness. If you had grey matter, you'd be able to hold a conversation on any subject under the sun & interest has nothing to do with it but knowledge & exercising brain muscle. It's called being mentally flexible. In other words, you're intellectually lazy. I'm sure you never belonged to any debate clubs in school. ANYWAY..

I haven't been to church in YEARS & I'm not particularly religious either but I can be a Bible thumping Jesus freak as the rest of them if religion is brought up because *I* actually know a bit of something about almost everything grin

LOL! The only Nigerian songs I know are the ones that were popular here too eg. Oliver Twist & that one that went like, "sawa sawa sawa ye". I believe it was by Flavour. We don't listen to Nigerian music. Most South Africans listen to South African house music, kwaito etc. We're big on our own things. Mdu probably heard about skelewu here on Nairaland, just like I heard about Azonto & Shoki here.

Anyway, Khona means "that place". Basically, what she was saying in that song was- where's my love, bring it back to that place where you found it. I need it back.

It was about a lovers' quarrel of some sort.

Talking about music, Nigeria has the the most influential soft power in Africa through her music and film industries.

it is a humbling observation that we are the biggest economy,
biggest entertainment industry

biggest spiritual assembly and gathering in Africa.

I actually believe, without the faintest traces of sarcasm , that the sleeping giant has waken to her eternal calling. the reason Nigeria has not broken into tiny fractions, the reason we have survived all the wars, religious tensions is more mystery than man made design.

it took China and India 500 hundred years to know what they can do. It has taken Nigeria 50 years of hardship and strife to know she is a born leader called into a region that needs her more than she needs it.

Nigerians are the brightest, smartest, most energized, mobile, enterprising and entrepreneurial in all of Africa. i say this with patronisation far from my thoughts.

Show me a country with epileptic power supply for decades that can sweat out a $594 billion GDP.

Show we a country besieged by corrupt leaders and still had the benevolence of heart and will to sacrifice so much for her neighbours of Liberia, Sierra Leon, etc

Show me a country than can create a movie industry by generators to become the 3rd most profitable in the world.

Show me citizens of any country that have to cope with poor infrastructure and social amenities and still dubbed one of the happiest people on earth by the international community.

Nigerians have survived against all odds to travel to the US and become the most educated people in America.

And with all the mockery by our African brethren we have produced the richest and largest middle class in Africa.

We have been the only country which has given her blood and wealth for Africa and ASK NOTHING IN RETURN.

We have earned our arrogance .

Every African who isn't having sawdust for brains should be asking these questions:

* If we can have the economic top spot in Africa with corrupt leaders what then would be our benchmark with a responsible government ?

* If we produced and created nollywood with generators what would we be creating with stable electricity ?

* If we grew the economy by 7% last year with every retailer, whole seller, shop owner and entrepreneurs owning and running a generator, what would be their input when the cost of running these generators are diverted to other activities ?

* if we have produced Africa's richest people with no government support what then should be the result when a listening president steps in ?

Nigerians have always not relied on the government to limit their progress.

the government failed us in security, we introduced the civil security and fund them.

the government failed to provide power, we bought generators and run them in homes and offices.

Now we are holding the government responsible to do and act more. The sleeping giant has just stirred from his sleep and all of Africa feel more alive with the great anticipation of his full awakening.

2)------ synagouge : it has morphed into a pilgrimage status as south Africans keep queuing up and receiving spiritual cleansing and psychological healing. I strongly believe that the new besieging of nairaland by south africans is as a result of long queues at the synagogue; so nairaland is a pastime to kill the long line.

3)------- boko haram : friends of Nigeria are wishing that the insurgency be defeated and things fall back to normal, South africa and co are wishing for the worse, hoping the disturbance will get worsen and our economic growth plummeted to allow them regain the top economic spot.

it hasn't worked and won't. Nigerians aren't Zulu and co. We weather the storm better than any group in Africa.

Your "mercenaries" are delivery boys and mechanics who advertise themselves across the globe for work.

but your ignorance is staggering ; S.A mercenaries were former apartheid soldiers who are mass zulu murderers. nothing to be bragging about there.

Chad is fighting its own economic strangulation caused by the terrorist insurgency.

AND THEN THE CHURCH:.You are such a petty , tactless lier. The synagogue is not only immensely popular in Africa and around the world, it is even more so in Southern African countries.

Not only do your people come in droves, SOME OF YOUR PASTORS FREQUENT THE CHURCH TOO.

There are no Synagogue agents or Branch in S.A.
Emanuel TV is a free to air satellite TV beaming into the homes of South.africans showing them power and spiritual insights and revelations that has been, hitherto unseen before .

Chris opened a branch in S.A and sent an auxiliary pastor there. BUT S.A has always been short of charismatic, dynamic and eloquent pentecostal pastors, so they screamed they wanted the real thing.

AND PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME OBLIGED.

Ok thanks about the name of the song.

Well, regarding the gay issue, people are just being nosy imo. Who cares if someone wants something up their butt or if another, a female, is into titts & whatnot? Waste of energy. But to each their own. Shrugs.

See, that's where I have an issue with anti-gay people. There's a tendency to pick & choose. How is a man loving another man backwards, when there's still people practising medieval rituals & believing in ridiculous superstitions? Isn't that more harmful & punishable than someone finding solace in the arms of another, same gender or not? I just don't see what the big hoo-ha is all about. It's not like they're going to ask you to watch or maybe hit on you. Personally, I think we should let them be, just as long as they stay in their lane by not propositioning people that aren't into that sort of lifestyle. I have no issue with gay people per se, but I've realised that some have a misconception of thinking that they could turn anyone gay. Which to me is as wrong as homophobia itself. If they say being gay is not by choice, then I just don't get why some still think they could change someone else's sexual orientation just by sleeping with them. It baffles me.

There's a pretend gay guy in one of the forums here. I say pretend because I'm not sure if he's really gay or just messing with people's heads. Nonetheless, he exhibits the same behaviours I've seen in some gay guys, the thinking that they have a "magic wand" that can turn the world gay. THAT should be punishable because it borders on harassment. Other than that, they could rip each other's asses apart for all I care. Not my àss on the line now is it? It's should be a free world but people should also know their place if they want to be treated fairly. That goes without saying.

You can also be either banned by spam bots or in some cases when the moderator decides to think with what is between his legs as I suspect is what happened in my case when I replied to the unwarranted insults on my president by @notyourb1tch.

One can also get the red pen by the moderators when there is an e-war, all Ghanaian defenders get an extended discriminatory ban as compared to the Nigerian attackers.
