It is pure idiocy to engage in this type of senseless digging. The fact that she had the watch before becoming our first lady is enough for reasonable persons to stfu.

How is it my business the way an individual spent her money?

I repeat, as far as she didn't use our money to but it, I don't care if it is 100 million dollars.

And I ask you guys to please help us with the cost of her undies and wardrobe altogether. Jobless eediots!

Hey man, please STFU if you have nothing meaningful to defend buhari with.

Maybe you need me to remind you of the lies buhari told us prior to election.

He borrowed money to purchase nomination form.

He has less than a million naira in his bank account.

He had no house in abuja

Buhari's wife can't afford to buy a wristwatch of 1 million and buhari will have same amount in his bank account, if you believe this nonsense then you are just pretty silly

Meanwhile,

Berem, you are a complete foool, nothing can be used to describe your stupidity

I think she got an asset. Most people either rich or poor buy expensibe things for asset. Is more like buying diamond and gold put in storage.

And those asset don't depreciate in value.
Just like an estate agent buying lands and properties is an asset and been a fashionable and beauty takoon ones she can afford it then she coukd take use of her money to buy an asset for a good worth.

You're here already..... The worrisome issue we're crying about is the cost of that particular wristwatch. This is so very shocking coming from the wife of a man who told us he could barely raise funds to pay for his election nomination forms, he had to go and borrow from the bank.
Little wonder the cattle rearer failed to publicly declare his assets. He has rather chosen to thread the path of ignominy. Nigerians are watching and also taking note of events as they unfold. The day of reckoning will surely come.

The chicken is finally coming home to roost.... Just how long do you people intend to keep up with the lies and deceit? You can deceive the people some of the time but you cannot deceive them all the time.
you didn't cry when David Mark gave Jonathan a wrist watch worth $200,000. You're now crying about Aisha Buhari's watch.

You guys are hypocrites

Nonsense!

Doesn't a man have the right to do with whatever he has? Are you trying to tell Nigerians that our President has not earned directly and indirectly greater than NGN10m until his age of about 71yrs?

If i were the President, my wife will look the best on this day that seemed like a dream never to come true.

You judge a man for financial misconduct not by the value of one item, but the aggregate of his holdings.

Try to live with it, there are men who will have their wife and kids be decorated in all they have ever worked for.

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria still remains the best that has happened to us in a while now...i can understand if you don't understand, because of the consequences of the rot that Nigeria currently has over its face.

One example: the other day, an officer jumped the queue to buy bread (that is yesterday's Nigeria). The Nigeria we will see is the officer will join the queue and the citizens on the queue will give chance to him to have an express order and this will apply to the old, nursing and people on essential duties. We will come to truly love and have respect for one another....GOD bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria

..moderators, think about what is posted and what audience does it appeal to...and what benefit is expected from the escalation of info...this is a government that will be protected and her aim is to restore Nigeria's pride...there is an army, passionate and resilient called the Nigerian elites behind this government, you will be proud to be a Nigerian...for we condemn anything that brings the image of Nigeria low

so did she steal government money to buy the wrist watch? Did she tell you Buhari met her a beggar when he asked her hand for marriage?

my only problem is that they should stop deceiving us. How would his wife be this wealthy and he was still going around begging for money to buy nomination form? is that normal?

This confirms a personal experience my friend told me about buhari...i denied him then....but now i just dont know. anyway that's a story for another day.

Someone whose husband can afford to send his children to university abroad....

A woman who owns a luxury beauty parlor among other ventures.

Her husband is a pensioner of the Army. A former general at that. Can Gowon afford it? Can Shonekan afford it? Can IBB afford it?

If she cannot afford this watch, I'll be surprised.

Haters go and hug transformer.

^^^Arrant nonsense.

If it holds true that Aisha Buhari actually purchased this watch for N10 million, Nigerians have every right to slam her to the wall.
Now I know that jewellers often provide precious gems, on loan, to highly visible personalities, for important events. But even if this was the case, such ostentatious display of opulence - if proven - belies the austere image the new administration has to project.

Aside from hoping that there is a perfectly good explanation for what the report infers - which would shut relentless TANoids up for a few hours - I think it is best not to jump into the fray with the kind of retaaarded excuses that became an identifying attribute of Jonathan's administration.
Pls that's not the way.The real motive of this noise on fbook about her watch is to create mischief.
The issue and d baseline to situate this issue is this:did she acquire this watch before her husband assumed office?Obviously she did.
Secondly does she have the wherewithal on her own to buy such item?Again, yes because its on record she had d biggest beauty parlour in the north.
Having situated d two premise above, the next logical thing is to wait to gain public access to the assets of PMB as declared, which should also contain d entire family assets.
With that,a baseline would then be established to judge and assess any material acquisitions of d first family compared to d assets declared.
But for anyone to try to create a misdemeanor or illicit wealth acquisition on PMB now(which is d whole basis of d thread at the end of d day),is premature, misplaced and clearly created to cause mischief.
