This is not the kind of change Nogeria needs, and Imo state inclusive.
The position of a VC, not 'acting', should be allowed from political manipulations. It is not an appointment. It would have been acceptable if it was an acting VC that was sacked.

The IMSU staff went on a strike action because of unpaid salaries,among other things. Maybe the fund was used for election/campaign purposes.

The way and manner IMSU changes VC, makes one wonder if there will ever be a substantial VC that will complete his/her tenure.

Prof. U. Awuzie is a man of integrity and sacking him based on some political reasons is unfair to Imo stars and Imolites. Seriously speaking, this is the kind of man that President Buhari will like to have in his cabinet. He is honest. Many students in IMSU got primary admissions to course of their choice without 'sorting'... I heard the VC sacked people and and anybody involved in that 'sorting'.
The other time it was gathered that he was threatened to be sacked because he allowed Min. Of State for Education to commission a federal project in the university(during GEJ tenure).

I think at this juncture, Gov. Rochas, got it totally wrong to sack IMSU VC. It also shows the kind of educational system he wants to run.

If you give free education and reduce/delay funds to the university, how do the university make it up?

More than that,Mr Uche Nwosu's appointment is not abnormal.His being the governor's son-in-law does not disqualify him from holding this position of leading the governor's staff. It is a political position that anyone can occupy at the governor's mercy.
