Yes...some foreign oil workers with PR have been denied citizenship. Some even denied renewal of their PR. It's all about meeting the residency requirement.
I have also seen Americans denied entry into Canada and vice versa. But there are lot more Canadians being denied entry into the US. All you need to do is watch the US customs and border protection TV series.
Canadian citizenship can be revoked too. Over 500 people were sent notices last year.

Highly doubt this is true, more Americans are denied entry into canada than the other way around. American has 320 million ppl, Canada only has. Has 30+ mil, that would make no sense by numbers alone. Don't get get your stats from TV shows, when cross I see more U.S. Being denied entry than Canadians.

Not meeting the basic requirements is an obvious refusal, I was asking about being refused vaguely like they do for visa for naija.

I know your passport could be cancelled on very special cases, like being a part of a group that is at war with Canada and things like that. The conservative govt passed that bill a couple of hrs ago.

Hello beautiful people of Nairaland. Please i need some clarification on an issue. My application was refused some months back and I intend to reapply soonest. In my earlier application, i included a letter of study leave without pay. However, some conditions at my workplace have changed and my employer would be issuing me a new letter of study leave with pay. Would this sudden change in the content of the study leave letter (i mean without pay and now with pay) issued by my employer raise any issue? I was wondering if a letter of introduction from my employer stating that the management had reviewed my situation and decided to grant me study leave with pay, would suffice.
As many that will render advice, I declare that you will never lack quality counsel in your lives grin. Amen!

First of all, you are making assumptions here that you were refused based on the letter . . . Would it be possible for you to give us the reasons why you were refused to start with and then, you could be advised based on that . . .

Not necessarily yours...
That of ur parent is necessary if they are you sponsors.
Even if they are not you could add them...remember standupguy GCMS which Pointed that his parent didn't have money in Nigeria....
So submitting as many assets fr them is a good plus.
So it's OK if I add my mum's land docs and funds/investments even though she's not my sponsor?

Thanks alot Fhemmmy, the reason was that I didn't satisfy them that I'll leave their country after my studies. In reaching that decision, they considered my travel history, purpose of visit, personal assets and finances.

In that case, just a letter will not be ALL that you need, you will need a very good and firm tie to homeland of Nigeria, something that willl convince the VO that upon completion of your study, you will head back to Nigeria . . . Many people that has jobs could tell the employer to go and die and wont return to Nigeria . . .Will surely help that you employer will give you a letter that indicates your job is waiting for you, but it is NOT all that i needed, do more to show that you will come back

Bro, please don't be like that, Remember that every champion standing tall today, once had a nasty fall.

Your App seems perfect, did you state in your SOP how well you'd be of service back home when you're done?
