Hello House,

I was recently issued a 5 year visa from 15th of May, while my previous 2 year visa is still valid till July, hence i currently have 2 valid visas, hope this will not cause any issues at Heathrow, the visas are on two different passports, as the old passport expired recently.

Regards,

Travel with your new passport where you have the 5 years visa.

I just confirmed some vital info on the issue on the payment at the teleperformance office ikeja. You are left with two options while submitting your application in lagos. It was noticed that most people prefered submitting at the centre at ikeja rather than the victoria island centre. To reduce the crowd at ikeja they introduced the 59 pounds fee which is N18,000 to submit at ikeja.Another difference in the 2 centres is that all applications submitted at victoria islland would be treated at sheffield in the United Kingdom which will take longer time processing and proper verification while the ones submitted at the ikeja centre would be treated here in Nigeria and faster to process. The options are left to applicants.Have a great day .Adios

Please I'm having issues paying the visa fee with my gtbank mastercard. I'm getting a response that concerns my card billing address. Please what do I do next as my application is still pending?

You are 100percent wrong.

The visa category you apply for determines where your application will be processed and NOT where you applied within lagos.

All settlement visas are handled at sheffield,UK- irrespective of whether you submit at Ikeja or Abuja.

Most dependent visas (depending on what Tier) are handled at Abuja (a small percentage is processed in lagos)- irrespective of whether you submit at Ikeja or Abuja

All visiting visas are processed and issued at lagos (including the 'almighty' 10yrs visiting visa)- irrespective of whether you submit at Ikeja or VI

well my friend that works with the high commission has told me most visit visas are processed in Abuja and if you check the waiting times you will see abuja is shorter than Lagos with a certain percentage.

Again, you are wrong.

Check my previous post.

My relative had her 10yrs visiting processed within 2working days and it was issued by Lagos BHC.

You cannot compare the number of applicants submitting at Lagos to that of Abuja. The fact that lagos has two centres for submission says a lot compared to Abuja that's got just one. So it's no surprise if there's a shorter processing time at Abuja compared to Lagos.

I am not wrong uncle, because I know what i'm saying and someone working there won't definitely misinform and also on another occasion my sister has had to pick up her passport from abuja after submitting in Lagos, how about that?
You sound so over confident by saying this person is wrong and this person is wrong, take a chill pill please no one is making stories up in her head, this is a faceless forum so you need to chill out

don't mind him, visas are processed in both places but most from abuja, according to what someone that works there told me, my younger sister submitted her application in Lagos last December and she had to pick up her passport in abuja after several calls and all, as for me I have always processed my applications in Abuja right from beginning so I just go to abuja and submit and return to Lagos jejely

I repeat that you are talking bullocks and I stand by my posts.

It's only a matter of time before the £59 fee is extended to other submission centres.

There's nothing oversabi here. I say what I know based on issues I'm personally involved in.

I used 10years visa as a good example. Application was submitted in lagos and visa was ready in 2days and place of issue was clearly written as "lagos" on the passport.

Scroll up and read your silly post. You claimed that MOST visas are issued at abuja which is 100percent false. You even backed up your silly argument by comparing processing times in lagos with that of abuja. How dumb is that? undecided

Every f00l knows that settlement visas are processed in sheffield, UK - irrespective of where you submit.

If you are dealing with an agent that's feeding you lies and claiming to be an insider, that's your headache not mine.

Someone I know very recently applied for dependent visa under one of the tiers. (I'm sure you do not know what a dependent visa is and the different Tiers in existence. There's more to UK visas than just visiting visa. Okay? wink ) Application was submitted in lagos but visa was processed in abuja with abuja clearly stated on it as issuing centre and the passport was picked up in lagos.

I have never heard of anyone applying for visa in lagos and asked to pick up abuja. Even with the thousands of cases posted on nairaland, I have never stumbled on such. Who foots the applicants' transport and hotel expenses to abuja? BHC? What about the risks involved in travelling from lagos to abuja? What happened to BHC sending the passport to lagos via courier if it was a case of admin mixup? Easy with your lies madam wink

first of all I don't deal with agents, and secondly I really don't think I want to exchange cheap words with an oversabi man like you! Smh
I don't have to convince you or anyone about what I am saying, neither do I have a cause to lie about anything, what is my own with you! Yes my sister submitted in Lagos last year Dec and after several calls and everything we had to pick her passport up in abuja, so go take several seats

Ralphlauren FYI I and other members of my family know about the courier but we don't use it, I prefer to travel back to pick up myself, or write an authority letter for someone to pickup for me, what is your own with it ?
