Nigerians are so mediocre in our actions and thought , that's the reason we are in this quagmire today. How can you propose giving a losing president a NOBEL PRIZE for doing what he is supposed to do?? to step down. Anyone applauding this act is job myopic in their thinking.

GEJ is best thing that happened to Nigeria at this time. He changed the course by the singular decision of conceding defeat and handing over. A Lot of Nigerians are still living cos of that singular decision. What a selfless man
Nigeria was predicted to separate last year(amalgamation)but he didn't allow it.
The only leader Nigeria ever had that never saw his personal ambition as a do or die affair.

This is the most sensible post here, thumbs up to u for thinking with ur head unlike other folks typing from their anus blinded by passion. This is 2015 for heavens sake. He shouldn't have handed over na after being beaten squarely. Even if its by one vote, buhari won him so he handed over as expected in sane climates. Its only African mentality and stupidity that's making some ppl call him hero by handling over. The dude did all he could to stay in power but hell no, ppls will prevailed. After spending billions of taxpayers money to campaign. Questions should be asked and he should be made to answer cases of corruption and not silly praises. Africa can only move forward when we hold our leaders responsible for every act as expected of them

This man didn't do any special thing. Rather, he saved his head. Even if he had refused to handover peacefully, it would have taken a few months for him to hand over forcefully. Only a fool will say he didn't wanna stay one to power. Nigga gave his all to staying there. D rigging in rivers(and deaths), Orubebe's drama, the hate campaigns, he would have been cooling his heels in ICC if he hadn't done what he did. Stop idolising him

Just few days Nigerians are already missing this amiable man. Nigeria is presently on auto pilot with no visible sign of a real president in power. It's has been a week of deaths , Boko haram bombings, disappearance and reappearance of the Daura President, petrol tanker fires, queues at filling stations with petrol being sold above #120 per liter etc. Pls Gej, come back and rescue us in 2019 from this brainless ones. They lusted for power and you conceded and gave it to them and now they are confused on what to do with it. You know why? Coz they only know how to criticize and never how to rule or make things happen. Sorry for Nigeria for having a 'change' president that was voted in over 2 months ago but has not even been able to appoint ordinary chief of staff or secretary to the government of the federation while his counterpart in the UK voted much later made appointments within 48 hours and has started working on his electoral promises.
