Not really. You will compete with the Asians who usually have great scores with fabricated profiles.

Don't know if you would like take the test again though.

You may need to apply to couple of schools sort of.
Thank u deetus.. But can u throw more light on it pls. I don't understand. Do u suggest i take another test? Do i stand a chance for a GA with this score and for my intended course? Thank u

You need to take IELTS or TOEFL first, also your sister.

That's OK. Honestly writing, you need to retake the test to have a chance.

You need 300+ to start with.

I have a question please. Does serving as a youth corp member(NYSC) count as being involved in the paramilitary or vigilante etc at one point or the other? I am filling my ds form. Should I just simply write a NO for that.

Hi guys.. Good day. I've been following this page and i must commend everyone's effort. God bless u guys for what u do. Pls i just took my gre and i scored 150 for verbal and 148 for quant. Though i felt the quant was a piece of cake..but oh well.. I'm applying for Petroleum Engineering. Pls do u think this is a good score for admission and graduate assistantship as well? Ur opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thank u
No. It's not even up to 300.
It might be enough for admission but not for funding in petroleum engineering.
However, you might pay first year tuition, do well in school and get funding for second year.

But if you're looking for funding from first year, I'm afraid you might have to retake gre to get your quants score up.
Good luck

Don't complicate matters.

In fact I even cross checked my no's to make sure that cursor didn't mistakingly change anyone to yes lol

hey guys i really like what u guys are doing here, please continue the good work. this is one outstanding thread i have found so far on this forum with a quality set people.

Please tell me how to go about Undergraduate studies there,
my brother has a female contact there in MARYLAND USA
and shes advising that he studies there in Howard university in washington or university of maryland
The age on his intl.passport says 26 years but his waec result says another age different from the one on his passport.

my question is this, will the US Embassy here in Nigeria grant him visa, is there an age limit for those apply for undergraduate program.

waiting for your replies

Pls I have been denied student visa twice based on 214(b) and I suspect it's due to funding. I have a bachelor degree in chemistry but I want to further by going for a begree in pharmacy,am 23 years old and my yearly school fees is about 6 million but my bank balance is about 8 million and pharmacy is 4 years. VO says everything looks good after my interview but when he saw my bank statement he changed his mind. Pls I need assistance,is it the funding?

Small small things that come and haunt people in the future.
I don't advise he goes to that embassy with that kind of issue, it raises a red flag.

Your date of birth should synch with all your documents... You'll have to fix it one way or the other before you begin to deal with oyibo ppl. It usually haunts!
