I was at Federal Government Girls' College, Onitsha for 4 years. That was a while ago, though. I still hang around a lot of Igbos. My local church here (I live in the UK) is a small Igbo congregation. Service is conducted largely in Igbo. My best friend and my fiance, both Igbo, both from Anambra, brought me to the church.

An Igbo is someone whose father and mother are both Igbo.

When only one parent is Igbo, then you are Igbo if your father is Igbo.

If only one parent is Igbo and you do not know or have any interaction with your non-Igbo side, then you are Igbo especially if you were raised as one. In such cases, you are Igbo even though your dad might not be.

Now, there is Igbo and there is Igbo - two different peoples. Igbos are peace loving, respectful humans beings while Yeeboos are loud, chest beating, low self esteem monkeys who carry Biafra on their heads like a curse. Which one are you?
