Red Devils: Van Gaal and Fergie are working in tandemLouis van Gaal and Sir Alex Ferguson are working together to helpManchester Unitedrecruit the world’s best players.Van Gaalhas received boardroom approval for a £200 million summer spending spree and is tapping into Fergie’s know-how and contacts to help United get their men.Far from keeping United’s legendary manager at arm’s length, Van Gaal andFergusonhave been spotted dining with their wives in Manchester at the end of the domestic season. The famous bosses had dinner at Van Gaal’s favourite Chinese restaurant with Truus van Gaal and Lady Cathy Ferguson joining the party.Big spender: Van Gaal is expected to splash the cash this summerVan Gaal and Ferguson are long standing friends and have mutual respect for the success they’ve enjoyed in their careers.Ferguson has been careful about controlling his Old Trafford profile. But he has made it clear to Van Gaal he will help in any way he can to continue the Dutchman’s ambitious rebuilding plans.Such is Fergie’s status that when he visited Madrid for a Champions Leagueclash in March he dined after the game with former United
heroCristiano Ronaldo.
He was able to provide the perfect insight into what was happening at Real Madrid including Ronaldo’s future. As well as his United duties Ferguson is UEFA’s coaching ambassador. UEFA boss Michel Platini explained: “Sir Alex is chairman of the forum of elite coaches that meet every year. He will also be a member of the technical study group of the Champions League and the European Championship.”Ferguson is due to be at tonight’s Champions League final in Berlin.

Yeah, good deal.

BTW, I don't want Benzema here. If LvG is looking for a 20-goal per season striker, then it's a joke going for him.
u speak like we have a plethora of options to choose from

then no need getting what is similar to what we already have. Don't see him as an upgrade on Rooney.

I'm not any player's agent ,I just roll with d facts on d ground ,I was d one dat brought d news of him joining Lazio but I found out later dat it was just a rumor since he was excited to lineup alongside Depay next season

why do u guys underrate benz this much?

He's one of thee very few attackers we can tag as 'a complete forward'
Excellent with ball at feet, decent hold up play, decent aerial ability, and contrary to what many people assume/believe, he can finish.

And his age, is just perfect.

He's proven and won't be unnecessarily expensive

If the opportunity to get him presents itself lvg will be unwise to snub him, especially if he doesn't get anyone else.

did u not also see the interview where he admitted his situation to be 'difficult' and said he was considering his options?

It's like Schweinsteiger is 1st for the DM/holding midfielder role while Schneiderlin is 2nd if Bastian fails

My initial point however is that it'll be a very good deal if he leaves for that sum being quoted

My emphasis wasn't on the veracity of the claim

What if while wasting time hoping for schweini, some one else swoops in on Morgan?

That's how we'll end up doing last minute fellaini-like deals at the end of the day

Patrice Evra believes “it’s always the wrong decision to leave Manchester United” and admits he was initially shocked by the intensity of Juventus’ training sessions.
Evra, who has won the league and cup double in his debut campaign in Serie A, is set to appear in his fifth Champions League final and his third against Barcelona on Saturday evening.
“It was really difficult for me to leave Manchester United. I left for a personal choice,
“It doesn’t matter if you go somewhere and you’re still winning – it’s always the wrong decision to leave a club like Manchester United.
“It was a shock at the beginning because, to be fair, I did not expect the way Juventus Football Club were working. They work really hard.
“I think the training sessions are more difficult than the game. In pre-season I remember the manager [Massimiliano ] Allegri always asking me ‘Pat, are you OK’ – I was always saying ‘for the moment I’m still alive’. And it was true, because it was difficult. I’d never worked so hard in my life.
“It’s a great experience because, even for my age now, I feel like I’m more powerful than when I was younger. I qualify myself like a bottle of wine – the more I get older, the more it tastes sweet!”

...................

I keep saying, Ferguson backroom staff instilled laziness into our players and 'killed' some. Our players became the most lazy in the EPL and the older ones retired before their age mates in other clubs. If Terry and Distin can still play very well why shouldn't Ferdinand and Vidic? Players like Anderson should be ruling the league now.

By next season, it would mean that we have changed our team 80-90% from SAF era. All within two seasons.

Van perise has only had one good season with us.Left to me alone,I wud fling him out of old trafford.Slow, lethargic and jst pointless most times.Bt i doubt his compatriot Van gaal will sell him.For the wages he is on,he shud b scoring 20+ league goals.am tired of us keeping players who are not contributing anything to our cause and earning humongous wages.Get him out!!!!

lazy players won 5 titles in 7 seasons.
the two titles they missed out on were by an average of 0.5 points.
add the champions league, world club cup among others.
if it is an attempt to justify Moyes' military boot camp training and the dismissal of the back room staff then id rather be lazy.

@Elampiro
It common sense for us not to quickly tire our players out with too much physical training if you consider the pace at which the EPL is played compared to that of the Serie A

GAITAN ANNOUNCEMENT IMMINENT?

Manchester United will be announcing the arrival of Nicolas Gaitan “in the coming hours”, according to the Metro.

The paper says reports in Portugal are claiming the Benfica midfielder has agreed terms with Louis van Gaal’s side, with Nani reportedly going the other way.

If true then they take lefty swear for LvG

But our boys are lazy compared to other teams. In the final years of SAF era, we lost our athleticism. Only players like Rafael who do extra personal training retained their athleticism. May be it was just not adequate.

I tire.
Lazy United under Fergie and his backroom staff got to consecutive champions league finals setting an unbeaten record that stands till this day in the competition.

If being successful comes as a result of encouraging laziness then I'll gladly take being lazy.

to think of it, the Juve side has three United alumni.

really?
in Fergie's last season what was the points margin we used to win the league?
Didn't we win at Anfield, Etihad and Stamford bridhe that year?
if Nani didnt get sent off vs Real we could have progressed further in Europe.
please stop creating an argument where there is none.

Ferguson suppose to have at least 4 UCL trophies.

If not for the hard training, Juventus would have gone home since group stage.
