We were able to cope with these set of players under SAF because He(SAF) was a genius, you can see what's happening now that he has left us, we suddenly discovered Rooney is overrated, RVP is tired, etc etc. Free Elampawa, he has a point but he should work on his introduction make arguement no dey start for here anyhow.

every player trains.....they do that everyday minus match days. we were awful in europe because there were better teams than us. it's got nothing to do with SAF's training methods.

united played UCL final in 08, 09 & 11 with SAF. if rafael didn't see red in 2010, we would have also made the final that year. how was SAF able to achieve all these if his training method was poor? do you just talk out of your arsë because of an irrelevant article?

Guys, i think Sir Alex depended more on his tactics than hard and stressful training ground routins. The man knows how to ginger players and grind out results and has ability to see through the opponent(wisdom), thats why it work for him. Not any coach can work such way, the only coach that comes close to this is Mourinho. Modern coaches depend more on Agility, swiftness and all that, if SAF man utd were built that way, even Moyes could have succeded . Take a look at barca, No coach will have a problem managing them, they're configured the modern way.

There is always possibility that the trainer is under training the boys. It's also possible to over train. From what Evra said, I think our boys were being under trained/exercised. I must confess that we lost our athleticism in recent years.

Na only Barca don remove us from UCL? Bayern Munich, ( Otelu and Benfica ). When Mourinho beat Barca with Inter Milan squad, he didnt have a superior team. We have seen underdogs won. Although I am not saying they all won because they trained harder. I am just saying our boys have not been looking athletic for some time now as compared to many oppositions we have faced.

If I am to blame SAF, it's has to do with his transfer policy.

he has always kept the same staff. mike phelan had been with us for years. same as the other trainers.

our players simply got too old for their roles - we still got to win the domestic league so the decay wasn't so obvious but we were way below the level set by barca during guardiola's tenure.
