tess1:ogbeni thank you o. elampiro claims to be a united fan and doesnt remember that Fergies biggest asset was a winning mentality that translated to the players. As such Fergie didnt need to do much as long as they bought into his winning philosophy. No matter how ordinary the players might have been when they were brought in. All Fergie needed to do was get in their heads and build a siege mentality (us vs the rest of the whole world) and it would light a fire under their bellies to win. admittedly fergies methods were not always spot on but he gave players belief in themselves. Darren Fletcher who was severely criticized by Keane turned out to be important for us along a stretch within 2007-2010. John O Shea kept getting regular runs in the side. I really dont know how laziness became an issue in all this. Fergie got results to the point where if he lostvthe league title he would almost surely get it back the next. Only Jose won back to back titles during his era but he made sure he didnt win 3 in a row. He probably was doing something right to be that succesful but elampiro thinks the squad was lazy. |

elampiro:Changing of assistant coach doesn't necessarily means that SAF will then will change his training system/methods. The new assistant coach will still have to plan his coaching sessions according to the cub's established standards. Not dominating games wasn't training method's problem. Rather, it was a personnel problem. It was the usual midfield problem that's still affecting the club till today. The players who were supposed to take over from Scholes didn't live up to expectations. I could remember at the start of the 2010/11 season when Ando and Cleverly were on fire before they faced some injury crises, this issue of not dominating wasn't there. |

elampiro:megedefegede answer me directly. how many players did jose meet in his secondstint from his original squad? the same players you mentioned couldnt stop united and its lazy players from dominating the local scene. And who are the players going into early retirement? youre not making any sense to this. You're just yarning for the sake of it. please tell us how lazy players won nearly a half-dozen league titles in 7 years and stop rigmarolling. |

tess1:What now happened to Anderson and Cleverley? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by tess1(m): 12:57pm On Jun 07, 2015 |
elampiro:How many players retired? As far as i know it's only Scholes that retired then. Giggs was still a player-assistant coach. Vidic and Evra moved for their personal reasons. I can even tell you that the whole team was over-trained by Moyes and this affected a lot of younger players. |

Elampiro we hv been dominated by small teams in d past n still win in d end or salvage a last gasp draw ,we hv won matches with 1-0 ,2-1 deficits in d past ,we hv been trashed in d past ,u think say na today de start to d thrash us? in '09 a certain Fulham thrashed us 3-0 ,in '06 we were trailing Blackburn 4-0 b4 ruud scored a hat trick ...were we lazy den? or u just want to start another baseless argument? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 1:01pm On Jun 07, 2015 |
StarBoard:You are only interested in prolonging this. Your points are aimless. I asked a simple question, why are we changing a whole team just two years down? You brought Mourinho. Same Mourinho whose boys were still the pillars of Chelsea four years down the line, and they won the Champions League. Abeg lets leave the argument. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nobody: 1:06pm On Jun 07, 2015 |
elampiro:I dont have any bones with you. you were the one who started this by saying some backroom staff made our players lazy. if you have nothing in response its not by force to respond. we are not here to pit wits but to interact intelligently. the fact remains you have not proved how lazy players won the league by 13 points with a month to spare. Till you do that you are entitled to ur opinion. |

tess1:How many are still around? You didnt get the logic. Anderson, Nani, Cleverley, etc. Even the ones still around, everyone is shouting, bench them, bench them. Sell them bring new ones. tess1:Moyes is long gone. Gaal has been around for a year plus now. Gaal is not even interested in such players like Nani, Rafael, Evans, Celverley. I doubt if he even wants Chicharito. You see these players just got weak. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by tess1(m): 1:08pm On Jun 07, 2015 |
elampiro:For Ando it was injury crisis. He has a long list of injury crisis from his days at Porto. It is only a fit player that can be in form. For Cleverley, Moyes over-trained him and also affected him with his negative football. We can see that in his performances at Aston Villa this season. Moyes destroyed a lot of our players with his hard training method and negative playing style that eroded their confidence. At a point Fellaini complained about the intensity of his training. That is a player that he brought from his former club who knew his training methods from Everton. That alone speaks a lot of over-training. |

tess1:as long as players are not carrying cement in training (apology to raumdeuter) united players are lazy. Fergie doesnt need that to produce winners but woe betide you if you missed or came late to the supposed lazy training. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 1:20pm On Jun 07, 2015 |
parrotibaba:Even Barca and Madrid do lose matches. Same with BAYERN. I know what I am saying. I have already addressed this. Those days, United would lose and you will say we were unlucky because we dominated completely. Or you say, it was a bad day. You can be sure we will win the next set of matches. From 2012/13, we will win and still express our dissatisfaction about the performance. In 2007/8, teams had no options than to park the bus against us, then eventually they fell to pressure and we got slim wins. If we were winning 1-0 at 60 minutes, it would almost be certain it was wrapped up. When oppositions take over possession, the way JS Park, Rooney, Tevez will commence their chase, they will almost voluntarily surrender the ball. ![]() |

elampiro:LVG was appointed to bring a immediate turn around to the team. He was given a top four target after last season's dismal performance. No fan has that patience for hm to give those players a season's chance after what happened to them under Moyes coupled with the fact that he has his own football philosophy which doesn't suit some of the players. Don't also forget that LVG had little time to asses all the players because of his world cup assignment coupled with the transfer window closure time. |

elampiro:na now I know say u start to watch match from 2010 ...were we unlucky when we lost 2-0 at OT against Coventry city in '08? or losing 3-0 against AC milan in '07 or losing at Fulham 3-0 in '09 n 2010? did we dominate Middlesbrough when we drew 2-2 with dem in '08? or villa in 2011? or Liverpool when de spanked us 4-1 in '09? |

elampiro:Bros stop jumping from pillar to post.... You have been cornered just accept that your "Lazy Fergie players" claim does not hold water. We all know that Fergie's major weapon was his winning mentality and other attributes such as nurturing of talents, ability to make piss poor players astute professional and winning machines. Fergie understood the rigor of seasonal football, bar injury he had his team sheets prepared already by the beginning of the season. I also agree with the issue u raised concerning Fergie's Assistant coaches, the moment Carlos Q left, the team started having issues with recruiting young talented players and also some technicality with the modern game which Fergie was not really sound about meant we struggled against teams handled by master tacticians such as Guardiola, Mou, Bielsa etc. Yes men like d diick head, Mike Phelan contributed nothing to the team unlike Carlos Q, Steve Maclaren.... Elam-pawa although I enjoy ur "battles" with Coogar (dis man no gree battle for rap section again) on this thread, u got this particular claim wrong! |

elampiro:How are they fitter? The defensive midfield problem has always been there since 2010/11 season i think and it's still there up till today. Moyes destroyed everything at Utd. These are some of the player's comments: Fellaini revealed: 'I have a problem with the intensity of the training because I am playing with big players. It is quicker than at Everton. But I am happy. I like the game and I like to play.'http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2422051/Marouane-Fellaini-admits-struggling-Manchester-United-intensity-training.html#ixzz3cNgKjhTO He wrote: “Moyes’s innovations mostly led to negativity and confusion. The biggest confusion was over how he wanted us to move the ball forward. Some players felt they kicked the ball long more than at any time in their career.Ferdinand http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/manchester-united/11096067/Rio-Ferdinand-hits-out-at-David-Moyess-tactics-while-in-charge-of-Manchester-United.html |

elampawa is just talking nonsense..... stop taking him serious - he's a troll(paid by the admin) to start controversies that would generate more clicks on this section. moyes was a failure! his methods, training regime, fitness routines, etc were all criticised by the players. moyes is a reactive manager. he concentrates on what the opponents would do.....he never strategises on what his own team should do. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by tess1(m): 2:29pm On Jun 07, 2015 |
He had a reputation as a hands-on coach who pushed his players hard in training. According to Phil Neville, who played for Moyes at Everton, players sometimes ran so hard in preseason training that they vomited. “The Horse Shoe” was a Moyes preseason institution. Neville describes it as “a series of sharp runs that cover distances between 100 meters and 300 meters and there is barely any time to catch your breath in between. By the time you are on your eighth sprint, your legs feel like jelly and buckle, while your lungs are burning. The manager, meanwhile, simply laughs as you collapse.” Phil NevilleAt a point Moyes himself agreed to have over-trained RVP. What he did with Man Utd players was even tougher than what he used to do with Everton players according to Fellaini's comments. |

tess1:even before moyes arrived at OT, everton players had sent text to their friends @ united that they should prepare for some hard training. moyes has no tactical nous. he just wants overfit players that would run & run like a headless chicken. this is why he won nothing as a manager in his 12-year managerial career at goodison park. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Nobody: 3:00pm On Jun 07, 2015 |
coogar:its not even about Moyes. its the silly notion that United players were encouraged to be lazy by backroom staff under Fergie's watch that is actually annoying me.no names of the said staff. he then went on to clsim that Juventus were in the cl final because of an implied comment Evra made. Forgetting thst the same Juve were knocked out at the group stages last season. we have asked how lazy players lost the league on goal difference in one season but managed to win the league by 13 points the next season. no response. |
