Thanks!

Which occupation did you assess for? I keep seeing people getting a negative assessment cos of Accounting Theory. Do you think someone with Masters in Finance plis B,Sc Accounting would qualify?

Management Accountant. Yes, I think the person should qualify. S/he should provide the syllabi for both the B.Sc Accounting and Masters in Finance.

Though all the assessing bodies have similar assessment method, CPA, I read somewhere, is notorious for giving negative assessment because of Accounting Theory. Your friend could nominate External Auditor; it does not require Accounting Theory.

I suggest you use PFL Education. It takes roughly a month to get feedback from UNSW.

She should go to the student services department or department responsible for tuition fees to explain her situation and ask for installments payment till the financial issues are resolved.

She need to appeal to the emotions of whoever is in charge to get the installment payment approved.

Your wife is one strong lady ooo, managing kids with school and preparing for medical exam at the same time. Multi-tasking at its peak.

I pray that she get solution in this matter.

Secure code is not gotten from an atm it's suppose to be online. It's mostly Visa cards I know u can get your ipin from an atm. Go to ur bank's website and search. If it's Gtb it's on their website but u need ur Internet login details https://ibank.gtbank.com/ibank3/main.aspx
If it's zenithbank try here https://enrollment.securecode.com/vpas/zenith.htmlIf it's first bank try here http://www.firstbanknigeria.com/products/e-banking/debit-and-credit-cards/secure-code-enrolment/

Hope these helps if not go to ur bank's website or Google it wit ur bank's name beside.

Hmmm....this is a hard one. Can she apply for a scholarship? Some schools have scholarships for intl students. But that would only help with future payments.

As at now, the best is to go see whoever is in charge and see if a payment plan can be set up. Setting up a payment plan in this country is quite common, so I'm sure if they can do that for you, they will. The only snag here is that she is an int'l student.

I am not an accountant but currently processing that of my gf. We applied to have her Bsc Accounting assessed with ICAA in December but got a negative assessment because ICAN was not included (based on experiences of successful people on this thread). Now she has done her ICAN induction and we intend to re-assess though I am torn between reassessing with ICAA or going for CPA. The fees for IPA assessment seems the most expensive of the 3 though. However it is pertinent to note that CPA and ICAA HAVE CHANGED THEIR COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS as recently as a couple of days ago and takes effect from July 1. This can be found here -http://www.cpaaustralia.com.au/become-a-cpa/migration-assessment and http://www.charteredaccountants.com.au/The-Institute/Migration-assessment/Changes-to-Migration-Assessments.aspx.

In terms of speed, CPA seems to be the fastest and takes about 10-15 working days (according to their website), IPA takes about 4-6weeks while ICAA takes about 4 - 8weeks.

Also with ICAA you do not have to submit hardcopies like the other 2 bodies. Scanned certified copies are sufficient

Bros go the website na....that's where it is...the person who will answer also got it from the site....get it from the source, its in black and white there....the only thing you need is the same phone you use to do Nairaland cheesy
As for PR, go to immi.gov.au and search for your intended visa subclass like 189. There is a price estimator, depending on how many applying....for a man, wife and child less than 18 its a little below 1.1mil. Medicals is lik 45k for adult n abt 25k for children. Police report na lik 5k per adult (negotiable). Flight ticket, pocket money to settle there with.
