Many of them doesn't know anything about making money. But they will say everything to discourage others. Cos of the present situation there are passing through. You can't blame them anyway. Am surprised there is an open advert for timber selling and exportation from Nigeria. Obviously this export of unprocessed timber should be reviewed if it actually turns out the embargo has been lifted.

This is a very cheap way of making money while destroying your own land, your own home.This is not about scam or no scam, one buyer can easily buy all the trees in Nigeria, then how would u live. Start thinking of living elsewhere?

Nigeria has low tariff trade agreement with America in furniture export, we hardly use 30% of our quota. Chinese have machines to process this timber and energetic carpenters that turns them to anything including toothpick. But they lack timber the real resources for wood making products.

You the seller(investor) will be arrested, the buyer(Chinese) will be equally arrested and he the middle man will be gone with the wind.

You don't have any idea, you are just leading people to commit crime turning them to accomplice.

Op, kindly explain to the prospective clients that the risks also involves occasional and unpredictable port closure (restriction of loaded containers of your ptericarpus by port customs). The implication is that Chinese won't buy (or offer ridiculous prices) and the support would be stranded. This is quite important.

Most People like him are only interested in the consultancy fee. Imagine 50 People paying 20K each- he makes A million naira. And scammers never lose no matter how small. A valid address he can not provide. SMH. If your idea is genuine, then go to Bank and they should be able to give you loan base on your turnover there.

You talk like a fool.we have already had meeting with over 7 people and we cannot even handle more than 5 people because of the stress involve. We don't collect consultancy fee until we are sure we are doing business with you. You want an office address you can send your brother arm robbers to burgle? Suppliers are not concern with port. We take timber to our yard. Different Chinese come to our yard for inspection. Not one Chinese.
We don't to the exportation. Chinese does that. We sell timber in our market called yard. Not at the port.
If a Chinese offer ridiculous price we won't sell to him because immediately he leave another Chinese will come and inspect.

Like I said. Not only one buyer and we don't take it to Chinese factories. We have our market place where we display it and call interested Chinese to come and inspect and buy.

They will always come if customs keep allowing containers of timber to pass. You know shipping lines also don't release empty containers during such periods and truck drivers don't even do lifting. My point is just that you need to paint the exact picture (risk wise too) to your prospective partners. You owe them that. Also, don't you think your cost price projections are a bit too exaggerated?

Nothing last forever. That is the main reason why we are calling on serious investors now to take the chance now that custom is not disturbing Chinese.
We work on information we get from the port and market overview before heading to the market. To avoid such risky scenario.
About the costing.
We can assure you that our costing is not exaggerated. Our costing is very very accurate. Because that was the capital we used when we started. Although there may be miscellaneous expenses. Which is normal.
