This is a warning to intending data subscribers never to patronise Glo network for data. They are a completely hopeless outfit. Before i bought their N2,500.00 data for 4.5gb, I came across a few pointers not to embrace Glo but I ignored such warnings. Now they've taught a bloke how to heed warnings with their appalling service. They only stayed the course like the first ten days which afterwards its been a serious running battles getting connected. Is this how they want Nigerians to tap into the "embrace local content" mantra?

Honestly, I don't know what's wrong with Glo network in my area. In the past, it used to be very reliable until I got tired of them last August and dusted my etisalat sim. Till now, I have no regret with etisalat as it has been blazing like fire-always on 3G. Recently, I couldn't get an airtime in my area to renew my subscription on etisalat so I decided to subscribe for Glo's 15MB for N100 just to do little browsing that night. I thought they would have gotten their act right in my area but I was wrong. The network kept failing and fluctuating with no sign of 3G at all. Imagine, I couldn't finish 15MB in 24 hours on an Android phone. The following day, I renewed my etisalat subscription, removed my Glo sim and threw it where it belongs to catch more dust.

I cannot lie. I have used Glo internet steadily in the last one year both in my office in Lagos and home in Ogun State. The downtimes are tolerable, considering that I previously used MTN and Etisalat with a very horrible experience. Airtel's data in my home is zero, so I dont even go near them. Glo is head and shoulder better in terms of speed. I tether the internet on my phone to two laptops (mine and my wife's) and two devices. They all work very well, such that we even downloaded games on two laptops this past weekend. Not fair for OP to use his experience to spoil somebody's business.

nearly everyone are complaining of Glo poor service. the funniest thing is that they are not bothered until they loose more customers before they sit up. Imagine Airtel still offer 4g for N1,500 on their 1+1 offer This should be the second time am enjoying that offer. probably they are loosing customers

I'm on easy starter and rarely download-just light browsing; 1gb for N1000. It's a selective data plan as you have to receive a message from them before you can enjoy it-It's not for everybody. A sample of the text below.
New Deal on Etisalat! Get 1GB data for N1000. Dial *229*2*7# Now. Valid for 30 days.

Glo is really horrible, it was not like this before, their internet service is too bad. I think is started when these IMEI boys started tweaking their device, thereby chocking the network. Glo on the other hand, is basking on the increase in new subscribers, but fail to upgrade their network, to meet the legal and illegal demand.

Depending on the one you use. 1+1 for bb is 1500 while 1+1 for android is 2000, both offer 4GB data cap.

I subscribed for it on Saturday and was given 4096 data allocation. it was on the blackberry unlimited plan. someone on this forum said to check eligible, you dial *440*161# and once it says "Dear customer you don't have sufficient balance for this plan, means you're qualified. But if states that you're not eligible then back off.

Bros you are alone in this your testimony. Out of 100 people that use Glo 90 people complain.

Im not spoiling anybody's business, rather Glo is digging their own fvcking grave. The fact some people enjoy steady power supply in their enclave dont mean the Nigeria Power sector is doing well. The only caveat to my post would be that if Glo works well in your area, then goodluck to you with Glo data but a run down of reactions here alone shows theres something fundamentally wrong with Glo services.

Re: Glo Internet Is Such A Mess by Karleb(m): 1:23am On Jun 10, 2015
I guess the problem is your location, Glo network is faster than Flash bro.
Re: Glo Internet Is Such A Mess by StarboyMichael(m): 9:42am On Jun 10, 2015
Glo Network is selective of location, I have been using glo bis for a while it's slow in my house, it slower in my office but I don't mind since I don't use phone at work. I visited somewhere in Maitama last week and glo data speed was out of this world, it was faster than my finger, I was reluctant to leave the place after my presentation, lol. I'm yet to try Eti n airtel
