someone asked me this question and i decided to forward it to the believers here cos i don't really have much idea about it.

so, what is your take on this?

Play in whatever form or way you interprete it is "Life". And Life is the Spirit of actions, interactions and movements. The Life of God in us is Christ, the only reason for the play, play, play and work, walk and work in life. The book of Proverb, "All works and no play make humans sick!!!" Breaking any of the Ten commandments in merrybetting, nairabetting, selfishness etc without your spirit guidance is allowed till you repent and pray for spirit guidance to play and do things right always....

so you mean it's wrong.

I mean that it is right, but do everything in moderation or till your spirit tell you to stop it or you quench.

There is what is called spirit led gambling as demonstrated by the apostles in Acts 1:26. So gambling is not a sin because there is no place in the bible that God speaks against it.

AlThough there is no bible backup for that, but lets call white white& black black!

Be certain that gamling is sin. It falls under the sin of greed.
You musn't wait until you see a sin mentioned in the bible in black & white before recognizing it as sin. Masturbation is not mentioned in the bible, but it falls under the sin of lust.
Gambling is greed. The owner of a gambling firm only profit when stakers lose. And stakers get paid if win from the money other stakers lost.
you dont have to be a christian to realize gambling is wrong. A healthy moral mind knows.
