TheGoodJoe: On a lighter note, this is a conspiracy theory you will not like. Maybe Man City settled Manu Garba to keep Iheanacho on the bench and ensure we do not go far in this tourney. That way, their wonderkid is safe away from any potentially injuries and can return for pre-season well rested. 1 Like |

mrham03: Manu needs to explain. You remove a defender for an attacker. Go three at the back. The midfield remains intact and the attack line increases. The pace of Nacho and Moses would push the Germans back to deal with them and reduce pressure on the midfield. There is no way Manu does not know this. 2 Likes |

chaberry:Maybe u should open ur eyes wide and read that post again, ajf said the Swiss team came here to beat us in 2009 in a hot weather and I merely pointed it out to him that the weather was not hot and that the match was played around 7pm. I neva blamed anybody. Read, digest before u quote 1 Like |

dabossman: More like, The Germans paid Manu to keep his attacking players from making the Germans look bad. It seems they were sure these bright lads will not come in. SMH - Almost a whole game with only one change. 1 Like |

chaberry: So your argument basically is don't lose to Germany in the Round of 16. Just wait till the semi-finals to lose to them. Would that have been better? Losing in the semis and getting a bronze medal or 4th place? |
Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by Fribery: 1:25pm On Jun 11, 2015 |
the only hope we have for the super eagles crashed n humilated before our very eyes. I stopped to think about the aftermath of the brazil-nigeria game n I taught to myswlf shey awoniyi did not play that match ?? Then when there was a total overhaul of our attacking line up why wasn't he benched 4 heavens sake he didnt even score on that day not even an assist. nothing nothing..but "heknowsbest" went ahead and removed the ones that where involed in all the two goals.. azzin wtf didn't "heknowsbest" see hw success rounded that brazil goalie. or he did not see the yahaya rabbona that led to the goal?? na wa oo.. I blame that basket called Enaholo, he brought this upon us.. |

TheGoodJoe:but as much as he messed up today, i dont believe he intentionally sabotaged the team... He didnt fix the match. |

Anyway, moving on to more important things. Now that the team is obviously coming home, any chance they'll pass through Abuja? Abeg, where's Awoniyi based? Cc lexyman, leecodeman, tbaba1234, mikron, Joseph1013. Y'all help a sister out, abeg |

mrham03: If we are talking of an average coach, I will understand. But, we are talking of a brilliant and tactical coach. He did not use his third Substitute, waited for 80mins for his second change. Man, I know a sabotaged game. The coach does things that even a secondary school girl will not do. It was obvious. He sold that game. I repeat, I know a sold match when I see one. This was a good example. Study this game and the elementary errors will show something was clearly wrong. Not a coach messing up. |

Fribery:basket ke? Dude, twas just one goal he let in, hardly a 'basket'. If the strikers had 'struck' and if Manu had made the right subs, we'd probably still be in. It's hardly Enaholo's fault |

Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by TheGoodJoe(m): 1:45pm On Jun 11, 2015 |
mrham03: That is a different case but this man can not tell me he coached that game to win. Whatever is his reason is his business. He should just put Nacho on a direct flight to England. He must have an impressive preseason if he is to break into the First team of Man City. |

Re: Flying Eagles of Nigeria Thread: U-20 World Cup (New Zealand 2015) by ajf(m): 2:30pm On Jun 11, 2015 |
mikron:Remember, a team can't just win a cup by winning only the final. The team must have won some matches to get there. And I'm sure they would have played some matches in harsh weather. I get your point alright, but my point is the weather shouldn't stop a GOOD team from performing. It's not enough excuse. |
