It depends on the organisation. Most government organisations will allow it but some private companies may not.

It's always better to play safe with a corporate dresscode (smart, ironed, avoid loud colors). Black, Grey, Navy Blue or Brown suits are your best bet.

Colo mentality. SMH. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with wearing natives to job interviews. Native attires are also formal.

most of those who posted comments have never attended interview. Hardly u see a core hausa/fulani on corporate wears during interviews yet they get the jobs. Once u dress smart on native with ur CAP on,you are good to go. I attended an interview in Kebbi State polytechnics last year November,in my group interview,i was the only one on Suit .I can boast of my performance as d outstanding interviewee,but those on " alan gworo" were called. In summary,it depend on d location,members of the panel and nature of the job(public or private sector)

This is the problen we have as nigerians-always wanting to be like westerners.i see nothing wrong in wearing native to an interview.they have nice native blazers,corporate skirts,even gowns sef that look as professional as the english wear

The interview was on a Friday. ( Though I wasn't interested in the job as I was already working elsewhere) I just went for fun.






The interviewer was like:


"Are you kidding me?

wearing native to an interview just because it's Friday shows unseriousness". " This is a Business Organization and not some cultural centre"..

Wrong, this is not about being slaves to whites or about following their laid down rules, it's wrong to wear native for an interview, who does that anyway. Even u won't do it
