I think you fail to understand that this on-going desecration of our public intellectual space, by a youthful population that is largely untutored, does us all a great disservice in the end. This is not about burnishing Buhari's image, as you wrongly put it, but proving to the rest of the world that we are not all jaded imb.eciles who are incapable of basic fact-checking.

While there is absolutely nothing wrong with providing an opposing view on the current realities, it is morally reprehensible to continue distorting tangible events; just to satisfy the whims and caprices of out-of-favour politicians.
