MikeCZAR:Yes, we also have amphibious vehicles. Tracked vehicles can transport troops in any terrain, especially in muddy terrain. Hence i mentioned marsh in my original post. |

Henry120:Yeap I agree with to an extent ? But what about ur immediate needs, or we should all fold our arms while people r dieing, nigeria should start building her own local defence industry that's the best way boost our military strength yet we still we need to meet our immediate needs ! |

MikeCZAR:Wheeled vehicles are light and they possess mobility yet they av limited in desert area the tyres get inmersed in desert dunes and they are soft targets to disable them Wheeled vehicles do not dare thick swampy or thick forest terrain ! Tracked vehicles are heavy but it all about the design they av powefull engines to propelles them like the T-90, they cll it the flying tank, the ahbrams is heavy yet in desert area wheeled vehicles are no match to them ! In thick vegetation they crush every thing on there part ! Except for some western tanks/vehicles that can't swim and that's why I like russian technology there tracked vehicles r no match come desert or thick vegetation ! |

Henry120:Are u talking about most of these countries ; pakistan, indian, turkey, iran .... SoRry what war these countries r fighting ? Let us tell our self the truth untill BH is bitting to almost zero, that's when u can now start thinking of developing ur own local industries ? |

MikeCZAR:Sorry am quaoting u for the 2nd time but I was shocked my ur statement u should not be d one talking like these !? Tracked MBT's/IFV's don't speed in desert terrain they fly go to youtube and watch there video's wheeled vehicles would never dare that infact I av not seeing. Wheeled vehicle do not so what mobility are you talking about ? In moody/swampy terrain wheeled vehicle get stalked but tracke vehicles smiles and say these is what am designed and meant for !!! And in thick vegetation they don't dare it ! What mobility are u saying ? Tracked vehicles are rugged and designed for all terrain. Warfare !!!! |

| Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by MikeCZAR: 10:24pm On Jun 15, 2015 |
bidexiii:You know at times it is good to put patriotism aside. Most tracked IFVs are heavily armoured compared to wheeled IFVs increasing their weight. They are also difficult to deal with in the field if broken down. Majority of the countries which use tracked IFVs need them for urban warfare, where armour is needed not speed. Most tracked vehicles maximum speed is below 89km/h compared to wheeled IFVs which can hit 100km/h+. |

| Re: African Militaries/ Security Services Strictly Photos Only And Videos Thread by bidexiii: 7:10am On Jun 16, 2015 |
MikeCZAR:Who is talking about patriotism here ? Or u r the one who does not know what his talkimg about here ! wheeled vehicles are only good on strong ground/road, hence limiting there performance ! Its a common sence they get stalked in the desert,swampy/muddy area and can't be used in thick vegetation ! And tracked vehicle fly in desert area, glide in muddy area and crush anything on there part in thick vegetation ! Even a lain man knows that ? |

MikeCZAR:Dude. Nigeria is not south Africa Different climate Different environment And different military requirements What Nigeria acquires is not for SANDF. There are areas in the sambisa forest that are marshy and not accessible to wheeled vehicles. So our requirements are diverse. I told you to stop acting like you know stuff cos most times you come off sounding ignorant. Your knowledge seems to be confined to south African affairs |
