everything in this powers to make sure that this issue is resolved once and
for all.

They just put a pause to the whole process. I heard they're waiting for the new government to settle since they are the ones who the newly recruits would be working with. I also found out from an uncle and other highly regarded officers in that force that they have already collated the names of the successful candidate, And every Oga @ the top as usual from different states in Naija has submitted the names of their candidate for posting. I don't know if there will still be another physical exercise/ examination or if the newly recruits will be going straight to camp. But I know the whole list from the 36 states has been sent to Abuja, that's the level they are in now. I also heard when they publish the list you can still make your way on the list if your connect strong. But the list is at Abuja now waiting for orders from above to be published. there is one information reaching me today at my state command from the service headquarter abuja, that as at last week the comptoller of each state have being given certain number of slots, and that the replacement list will definitely be released very soon (no specific time), but that the only problem with it is that the list may be dominated with names of people with long legs, u know what i mean

There cnt be replacement until BOARD regularise the purported appointment by THE PRESIDENTIAL COMMITTEE who clearly went beyond their mandate which is just to ASSIST and nothing more,and particularly Comp 8. The various State Command find it difficult to ask those that came with posting letters to go, but decided to allow any one that wish to keep coming until he gets tired of coming. The Board will still review the list of those purportedly given appointment by the BOARD, and am sure that a lot of them will be disqualified because they dont have the requisite credentials. Its only the Board that has the right to recruit and no other person including the over zealous PRESIDENTIAL COMMITTEE. They were only to assist the BOARD and not to recruit and they very much know about it little wonder they have no APL to give COMP 8 as they cant give any without the BOARD producing it. Long and short is that the original recruitment has not been concluded because of this tussle which the BOARD as I was told yesterday has won and has taken control of the recruitment. I hope no body is disappointed, but that is the truth. If you are waiting for replacement, you need to wait a little longer because the original recruitment should be concluded first by the lawful body. Abba Moro and cable around the former President hijacked the exercise but now they are no more, and a lot will be disappointed. GOD BLESS NIGERIA YOUTHS. DONT ABUSE ME. there is no way d problem with nis recruitment exercise will affect d replacement list that everyone is anticipating, as the recruitment was conducted by last admnistration, while the new admnistration must have their people in nis as well, soon i mean soon d list will be out by special grace of God..

I'm not surprised at all. I only feel for those who will not be given appointment letters if this happens at the end of the day.
To the best of my knowledge, I don't think replacement list will be affected since it has been in the making since around 2013.

The Terms of Reference for the Committee are as follows:

To liaise with the Civil Defence, Fire Service, Immigration and Prisons Board to confirm the actual number of personnel to be recruited
To assist the Civil Defence, Fire Service, Immigration and Prisons Board by re-advertising the recruitment into the NIS with a view to starting the recruitment process afresh
To assist the Civil Defence, Fire Service, Immigration and Prisons Board by processing the applications, short listing potential candidates and conducting the necessary interviews for the purpose of the recruitment exercise
To assist the Civil Defence, Fire Service, Immigration and Prisons Board by following all relevant laws, public service rules and guidelines to determine successful applicants and announce their appointment into the NIS
To ensure that three family members of each deceased applicant from the aborted exercise, at least one of whom should be a female are given immediate and automatic employment in the NIS; and
To ensure that all those injured during the aborted exercise are given immediate and automatic employment in the NIS.

I am refering to the one written last year. I was told the list should have been out if not for the crisis rocking the sector. My contact assure me to be optimistic that every thing will be sorted out soon.
