. Learn listen to news pls. U're now a civil servant. It's beenon air since morning on all the Rivers radio stations. Others include: Board of internal revenue, and that of Health care.

Pls house, a list wz sent to my school today, asking us to come to ph schools board for auditing but some ppl name ar nt on d list. What could be d problem Pls

Governor Nyesom Wike is set to sack 13,000 workers employed by his predecessor, Rotimi Amaechi. This comes as Rivers House of Assembly passed a resolution empowering the Governor to sack the board of the State Civil Service Commission accusing them of breaching the rules and illegally employing workers into the state Service. The Rivers lawmakers passed the resolution on Tuesday after grilling the Chairman of the Service Commission, Mr Ngo Martins Yellowe on the floor of the House based on petitions accusing the Commission of not passing through due process before employing workers in past three years. Yellowe, however, told lawmakers that the Commission under his leadership obeyed the constitution and laws guiding employment into the service. Observers of Rivers politics however see the invitation and quizzing of Ngo Martins Yellowe by the lawmakers as a prelude to the sacking of the Commission appointed by the immediate past administration of Governor Chibuike Amaechi and also the sacking the civil servants employed three years to date, especially over 13,200 teachers and others engaged by the immediate past administration of Governor Chibuike Amaechi. The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission, RSIEC, Chairman Prof Augustine Ahiazu was invited to answer questions about how local government election was conducted. Thereafter a resolution was passed mandating Governor Wike to sack the Commission.Wike sacked RSIEC the next day. Similarly, the Rivers State Judiciary Service Commission suffered same fate after its members were invited to the floor of the House. The fears of over 13,200 teachers in the state, over 400 doctors and nurses employed by the former Governor Amaechi is palpable if they fall into the category of workers adjudged to have been wrongly employed into the state civil service.

those clamouring for a PDP govt, well u guys have seen the direction the whole thing is going, not bad for me cause I expected it and with my hard earned degree am already working on something worthwhile. dear colleagues mostly my fellow non indigenes, don't wait to be taken unawares, think of where to lean on as we watch the drama unfold

@thankgodiyke. when RJSB n RSIEC board was dissolve, does it equal to sacking the felows working in those ministries/parastatal. if the board is dissolve, it does not mean the people concern ve been sack, bt they are no longer the ones in charge of such ministry/parastatal. all boards ll be constituted again bt SURELY with right-hand badee, of the man in charge of R/S.

First we will not be victims and if we are then God sure has better plans for us.
Secondly, the level of malpractice and marginalisation in the whole recruitment process was alarming. I wont go into details but if u know anyone that took part in that process ask them so u get more info. That recruitment at rivpoly was a show of shame. Funny tin is same process is abt to be repeated at rsust.

Guy please when you finally get that your what while job please do resign to reduce the wage bill of the state.
An average south south man knows that we are prey to the bigger tribes in this case the so called non indigenes'.But all we expect when ever we show a little kindness by admitting you into the state civil service is a little gratitude and not to be pessimistic.
Apart from employing you into her civil service the state is already contributing her quota to the development of the nation. Pls try to be optimistic.

That sacking info of the 13200 teachers is a total falsehood. You have started receiving salary and it was a due process employment.

An average south south man knows that we are prey to the bigger tribes in this case the so called non indigenes'.But all we expect when ever we show a little kindness by admitting you into the state civil service is a little gratitude and not to be pessimistic.
Apart from employing you into her civil service the state is already contributing her quota to the development of the nation. Pls try to be optimistic.
