The recruitment process in RIV POLY cannot be compared with that of the 13000 teachers , it wass full of tribalism and fraud inshort you have to pay to get the job both indegin and non-indegin alike, but a private company handled the recruitment of the 13000 teachers and was made transparent and public too. Do not be afraid WIKE cannot layoff the 13000 recruited teachers. |

Cruize306:. I thought dat zenith received alert last week , if its true ,den fiafiad information was reliable just dat d new govt is meticulous in their transactions otherwise everybody would v received by nw. we can see dat last week payment has given us relieve of mind, dat salary would soon be paid It would be bad n discouraging if we forget his reliable information he passed to us in d past so soon.Pls , let us not discourage other who may want to give information but not sure if it ll be reliable or not, by discouraging fiafiad. i know dat I bone of contention is d fact dat he dont usually disclose his source of information n dat makes his information look as if its fabricated . in d other vein, he is protecting d job n d face of d one who usually pass d information to him Dis not time to counter words but time to pray hard against any hand , mind or mouth dat Wll say bad words against us .a man whose house is on fire do not chase rat . lets work together for our own gud, our own future n dat of our children |

I trust my God no doubt about that. I'm just being realistic anyway. Malpractice or marginalisation, truth be told, if Wike and Amaehi were on good terms, those leccturers wouldn't have been sacked. masterchi: |

Workers were bamboozled into embracing Wike as a friend...Now they know better, Wike is a fiend not a friend.....This is 18/6/2015 and instead of Wike to channel all is his energy into upseting the piling dept of RV state he is busy on vendetta mission....If this is the way Wiked wants to govern RV, then he has inevitably booked an appointment with failure. |

Wike sacking non-indigenous Rivers teachers/workers is a good one for the indigenous Rivers people but a bad one for national unity and also a bad one for his governorship future, considering the fact that the Rivers state election tribunal might nullify his election and call for a fresh election and these non-indigenous people might vote him out/in pending how he treats them. He has not sacked nor threatened to sack them. So this sack issue shouldn't even be a topic of discussion here... A--L--E--R--T--S should be |

Gov. Wike never mention about sacking 13,000 teachers or non indigen among them, no good politician will think about that now, he has advisers and no good adviser will advise him on doing that. The best politician is he that turn his enemy into his/her best friend, because with it he will have no enemy that will distract him. So what gov. Wike needed now is more friends, because no one knows what will be the tribunal outcome, as majority are important to him so also one person is also important to win back election should in case something happen. |

ikem50:True Talk. while you are talking sense, and on point. We don't have to worry about anything! the wave of dissolution and disbandment will not get to the teachers considering that the process that brought us in, is genuine and well processed, documented and accepted by the house of assembly and everybody even PDP spoke person Jerry Needam always contend with Amaechi when we were owed for six month at the initial stage. In summary there is nothing to worry about! God is in charge. |

If Governor Wike successfully finishes his 4 years tenure he will seek for another tenure, and he need the people support, especially now PDP is not the ruling party, he will really need masses support both indigen and non indigen. If he successfully finishes his eight years as governor of Rivers state, he may desire to contest for president of the whole nation or vice president, because by them Buhari will be finishing his eight years if he wins in 2019. So there is nothing to fear because he need both indigen and non indigen on his side to achieve all these fit, and his advisers will bring all these to his knowledge, even without his advisers advising him, he knows that building of his future national carrier through elective post start from this opportunity he has now as a governor. |

Men of little faith. I said it before hand, that Wike is not a man of good will but some persons who aren't spiritual worked in flesh and blood and misconstrued my assertion. Now is morning. Keep on looking out. But one thing is sure, if he dare steps on the tail of a hungry viper, he must taste the dangerous venom. |

Rivers Poly workers beg Wike to reverse sacking JUNE 18, 2015 : CHUKWUDI AKASIKE, PORT HARCOURT 11 Comments THE four hundred thirty-five employees of the Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori, sacked by the state government have urged well meaning people of the state to prevail on the government to reverse the decision and recall them to work. The State Government had on Monday announced the cancellation of the polytechnic workers appointment. Those affected are academic and non- academic staff, who were recently employed by the Rotimi Amaechi administration. Speaking on behalf of their colleagues, Jekey Lekue, Grace Ikue and Basil Ujobolo urged the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, not to renege on his promise during his inauguration to give hope to the people. Speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt on Thursday, some of the disengaged workers lamented that they had been searching for job for the past five years before they were eventually employed at the state polytechnic. They also stated that some of them had to resign from their former place of work after they received their appointment letters from the authorities of the State Polytechnic, Bori, Khana Local Government Area. Explaining that they went through a painstaking process before they were employed, the sacked workers recalled that they had supervised the last examination in the school before the announcement that their employment had been cancelled. “We are calling on well meaning Rivers people to do justice to this issue. We beg Rivers people to step in. Governor Nyesom Wike gave the state hope on May 29, 2015. We have already been captured in the data base of the state. Our governor should not do this to us,” they further appealed. In another development, the State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, has disbanded the Rivers State Road Traffic Management Agency known as TIMARiV. Reacting to the sacking of the 435 RIVPOLY workers, the Special Adviser on Media to the State Governor, Sir Opunabo Inko-Tariah, stated their appointment was marred by irregularities. Inko-Tariah said, “The appointment of the staff were marred with irregularities. Such an appointment had to be terminated to look into the whole issue holistically. “The sacking was premised on irregularities. So many procedural obligations were breached and as a result, the exercise was deprived of due process.” Speaking on the Rector of the polytechnic, Dr Obiando Elechi Amadi, who was sent on a compulsory leave, Inko-Tariah pointed out that it was as a result of a case of official misconduct on the rector’s part. On the disbandment of the state traffic management agency, the governor’s aide specifically said that some of the officials of TIMARIV were making illegal seizure of vehicles in order to extort money from innocent citizens. According to him, “Many of those guys were making illegal and embarrassing seizure of vehicles on the roads and this is becoming an eyesore. Let us leave politics aside; it is a known fact all over the state that TIMARIV had constituted itself into a public nuisance. “The action of its staff had, in most cases, brought River State into disrepute. What they do in most cases is illegal. They are not supposed to struggle for the steering with the driver of a vehicle, but this is what they often do. “The state government can no longer cope with the excesses of this TIMARIV staff. It was on that premises that the governor decided that it should be disbanded. “Governor Nyesom Wike also instructed that all seized vehicles should be released with immediate effect. He further instructed that nobody should pay a kobo to TIMARIV. “If anybody should be refused or deprived of the retrieval of his/her vehicle, such a person should report to the nearest police station and the TIMARIV staff in question will be dealt with,” Inko-Tariah added.
