What mistake did he make?

I am still struggling to understand what all the hoopla is about in saying PMB is like old wine that gets better with age undecided

What exactly is wrong in suggesting someone gets better with old age like wine?

The most expensive wines are the earliest not the latest

In fact eh! I am beginning to see why Sagamite always say that certain privileges should not be a right for fools. All those eejits with twitter handles fall in this category.

Stop being daft. Buhari said his age is a limitation, emphasis is on the word limitation. Yet the learning spokesman likened him to an old wine whose Performance isn't LIMITED but enhanced with better taste.

You and Abugab need to hide your sorry heads in shame.

The point is, it wasn't the right defence for what Buhari was trying to say. Buhari said he wished he became president at the age he was governor, his spokesperson is talking about fine wine. What both are saying doesn't gel. Femi's defence almost seemed like he's trying spin what Buhari said. All he could have said was "obviously there are limitations that come with age but that won't stop this administration from achieving all they intend to achieve". He could go on to talk about the trips Buhari has undertaken since he became president just over two weeks ago as evidence that Buhari is still very strong and healthy.

However, the best thing would have been not to even defend it at all. I don't think it was such a big issue.

I'm not holding brief for Buhari but limitation can mean anything to different age groups.

It's a no-brainer to expect him to have reduced physical conditioning due to his age but that isn't necessarily a key factor needed for providing good governance or is it?

Stop trying to be too smart cos it won't do you much good. Limitation here had to do with governance. Buhari referenced it in terms of leadership in a much younger age.

Bihari needs someone like me as his PR nut. Nigerians forget how to condition the minds of the masses once they start receiving huge salaries. Had it be me? You will all be eating shiiiit and loving every minute of it.

Anyway.. F0ools dance with Fo00ols. Bihari..become wise in the court of public opinion

Please read your post again. You are really a funny guy. if you want to accept a job, you must be fit both mentally and physically for the job and cannot after a few weeks of acceptting the job that your age will be an hindrance to your performance. The big question is: is Buhari just realizing that his age will affect his performance in office? I don't think so because it was a major issue during the election.

stop defending the indefensible! he should have been truthful during his campaign that his age will negatively impact on his performance in office not after winning the election.

Bottom line is, he isn't a superman and we shouldn't expect him to perform miracles.

Everyone needs help irrespective of their age hence the reason why they have advisers on specific technical issues.

We weren't expecting him to be a superman nor perform miracles. But we are expecting him to carry out his functions without been regaled about his limitation which wasn't our fault.

He knew about his age limitation before standing in for elections, he wasn't forced at gunpoint.

"Buhari said age is a limitation".
And you read that?
Someone who said how he wished he was much younger as a president precisely the age he was military administrator and that to you translates to admitting age is his limitation.
I can see that you really are clever, very clever.

I understand UK parliamentarians have men older than buhari in their eighties yet they still perform.
Look at Zimbabwes President, Mugabe, I don't think he has made such mistakes.
We know he is old at least he should have said this towards the end of his tenure where maybe we were expecting more and not now, that he hasn't done a dim in Nigeria except donating $30m and fighting to take control of joint JTF while Boko haram are killing and workers not yet paid in most States. If he was as they portray him, he would have done something concerning Osun.
Ha it disgusting.

Stop this foolishness and see the excerpt below

He said, “I wish I became Head of State when I was a governor, just a few years as a young man. Now at 72, there is a limit to what I can do.”

And that means failure?
You are a super human and don't have limitations.
Why do you always use insulting words?
Does that make you not foolish?
Your inability to use the right words is a limitation and we all have it.
I wouldn't want to say more by insulting you as it will become of you.
You don't know me young man, mutual respect is needed.

Don't be a consistent daftie. Buhari clearly insinuated that his age is a limitation despite giving the electorates the impression that he is highly capable .

Where did you see failure in this discourse ? Use your brain dude.
